First lie of the night. Olby stating vets get SUPERIOR health care threw the government. BITCH! My dad died in a VA hospital. It looked like a hospital from the fucking 50's!
SUPERIOR? Keith, why don't you get care from a VA hospital. Like gastric bypass! And let us know how it works out!
Very sad, syvyn. The ills of VA hospitals are well-documented - a fact that eluded Olbus the Bulbous once again.
Story goes a bit deeper than that. He had ALS. At one time VA told us that we couldn't get him hospice-home care from the VA. Then three months later, when he has respiratory failure, they tell us he could have gotten hospice care all along. THREE FUCKING MONTHS WHERE I WAS HIS SOLE CARETAKER!!!!! No life, just take care of dad, go to work, go full time to school. He fell out of his chair before he went to the hospital for the last time. I wasn't there, he told me to go out for a few hours to relax. I still blame myself to this day. I haven't told my sister, cause I'm afraid that she would blame me for his accident.
It's been 10 years to the day that he was diagnosed. My birthday by the way (sept 2) and it still hurts.
I can't even imagine, syvyn. That is truly awful.
I agree with Keithy poo on one thing.
I want Texas to secede too! So I can move down there and not be a part of the US OF Obama anymore!
I'm sick of these libs.
Any comments on the public option? Curiosity fills me.
To go off topic for a second, Katy Abram, the woman who asked Sen. Arlen Specter a question at his town hall last Tuesday, returned to "Hannity" tonight after a week of being viciously attacked on the net, on MSNBC, "The Daily Show," and other progressive bastions. The interview can be seen here.
Now, back to Olby.
The VA and soldiers health care was EVIL 2 years ago and now it is SUPERIOR. What has changed in the last 2 years Mr. Orangemann?
No more Sabo rec-specs!
Kountdown's viewer evaporation
Will require more medication
And visits to his shrink
Because Keith's on the brink
Of a Bellevue registration
Is olby still ragging that Beck is losing Advertisers?
The state of Texas got the gold in the WPITW segment for OFFERING as an ELECTIVE COURSE on the Hebrew Scriptures.
Ah, but here is Olby's little spin on the subject:
"And there it is, MANDATORY religious education in the public schools. For believers, for non-believers, for those of other faiths, for believers who believe in the separation of church and state...doesn't matter."
This is what Olby conveniently forgot to mention about the bill. This is directly from H.B. (R) 1287:
1) Understanding of how to present the Bible in an objective, academic manner that neither promotes nor disparages religion, nor is taught from a particular sectarian point of view.
2) A course offered under this section shall follow applicable law and all federal and state guidelines in maintaining RELIGIOUS NEUTRALITY and accommodating the diverse religious views, traditions, and perspectives of students in their school district. A course under this section shall not endorse, favor, or promote, or disfavor or show hostility toward, any particular religion or nonreligious faith or religious perspective.
3) This section does not prohibit the board of trustees of
a school district from offering an elective course based on the
books of a religion other than Christianity.
4) If, for a particular semester, fewer than 15 students at
a school district campus register to enroll in a course required by
this section, the district is not required to offer the course at
that campus for that semester.
It's a elective course. If you don't want to take the course, don't. No one is forced to take it, it is not MANDATORY, and if fewer than 15 students elect to take the course they will not teach it. End of story.
God, can Olby ever present the entire story with all the facts? Oh, I forgot, it's Keith Olbermann we are dealing with...he hates facts and won't bring in a guest to debate the subject. What a COWARD and a LOON.
Resign, sir.
Did anyone notice the logo that KO used during the first segment? Seems he feels that he is entitled to use DailyKos artwork since his program is their hour long spin session.
Olby did talk about the public option tonight and how it's the GOP's fault that is was taken out. It's also the GOP's fault now that all the dems won't vote for a health care bill without the public option. Howard Dean was brought on to say that the public option will be put back in and the GOP will be to blame.
And yes he did mention Glann Beck again. Since his material comes from Kos and Media Matters and it MM's main story you know he's going to rip and read.
First off, Rush Baby, do NOT mention Chris Sabo and Kieth Olbermann in the same manner. As a life long Reds fan, I have previously named pets, and soon to be named Children that will don the name of Chris Sabo. (I'm kidding, I love the analogy)...
Second, I have finally been home long enough to watch part of the show, and now all those parts of my body that I know exist, but always forgot about, are slowly starting to ache, ie. pituitary gland, thymus, adenoids, etc...
I check the ratings, and watch both Countdown and the Factor, and Glenn Beck is the one losing sponsors? He has twice as many viewers at a much worse time slot than any other show, and apparently, according to liberals like Olbermann, Best Buy and Walmart are pulling the plug on sponsorship?
Let's get this straight Kiethy, you can call the President stupid, and still keep your sponsors?
You can call the President a fascist, even go so far as to say he should wear a tee shirt with fascist printed on it, and still keep your sponsors?
You can tell the President, of the United States of America, to shut the hell up over a comment that simply reiterated a question, and keep your sponsors?
You can compare the President to Hitler, and call him dictatorial, and still keep your sponsors?
But, if you call him a racist, you should lose your sponsors?
I hope someone shits in your cereal very soon. You realize that nobody likes you, right?
Didn't Kanye West call President Bush a racist? How many people on the air in the liberal media made that inference shortly after Katrina?
Did you ask the sponsors of those shows, or supporters of Kanye's music to stop listening, or to drop their sponsorship?
Get them to print you a tee shirt with the word "Hypocrite" on it, then go practice falling down, I'll be there in a minute...
>It's a elective course. If you don't want to take the course, don't. No one is forced to take it, it is not MANDATORY, and if fewer than 15 students elect to take the course they will not teach it. End of story.
I'd take it. I need to brush up on my hebrew.
Meanwhile, look at this from the Tallahassee Conservative Examiner (via the Olbermann Flood): O'Reilly and Olbermann agree on Obama's health care.

To be correct, he said "George Bush doesn't care about black people".
