Bill-o had a GE Attack tonight.
Expect him to win GOLD on WPitW tomorrow!
Were any of the people at the Specter town hall mocked on "Countdown" tonight? In particular, the guy that had to be restrained and the woman with the curly hair.
The woman's name is Katy Abram. Here she is being interviewed on "Happening Now."
WPitW!
3rd- Bill-o (with Ted voice) about his KILLER RATINGS! And attacks FNC. No news on Fox News. I guess it's easy for Olby to not concern himself with ratings since his sucks like a high school cheerleader (Hi, Katy).
2nd-Neil Fergerson- comping Obama to Felix the cat. Accuses him of threatening to kill Obama.
1st- Dick Morris for the crime of supporting the so-called "astro turffers" again with Keithy-poo calling them TERRORISTS!!!!
Another AWARD WINNING COUNTDOWN!
What exactly did Keith say in the O'Reilly and Morris Attacks? Was it just ad hominem stuff? I just don't understand what personal attacks accomplish and why Keith continues to traffic in them...other than his base loooooooooves it.
Really, after WPITW is over, I try to forget it as soon as I can. I can only type so fast. With Bill, it was attacks over Bill touting his ratings for three segments on last night's show.
With Dick, it's pretty much what I said, Keith turned it around to attack protestors as Teabaggers again.
Based on your info, here are Rip 'n Read's sources for WPitW.
Worse blue blog source: TVNewser. Now that Steve "In Fox's Pocket" Krakauer has gone to Mediaite, he can go back to using TVNewser as a source.
Worser blue blog source: The Atlantic.
Worst blue blog source: Newsdistorters.
Once again, Keith went to bat for his blue blog brethren and sistren. He loves them and they love him back.
To be fair, TVNewser isn't a blue blog, but Keith likes to use it.
In promoting a sale on all women's shirts at BillOReilly.com at the end of the show, Bill pointed out "Did you know that women make up 48% of 'The Factor' audience? That's a high number for a news program." What do you guys (in the co-ed sense) think of that stat? I wonder what percentage of women watch Olby's nightly hatefest.
Mike C., you are either absent or ubiquitious. Did you take some time off from here lately?
Olby took a a hearty stab at Roger Ailes at the end of the WPITW, a snide reference about Fox News spending the summer 'trying to muzzle it's worthless product".
I took a break when Keith was away, Dan. At first I didn't know what you meant and thought you were saying I did something wrong. But I now I think you meant either I'm not here at all or I'm here every second! LOL. (I wrote LOL so you'd know I was kidding and not being defensive.)
Here It Is, watch it and puke.

What they do at Fox News isn't news? Whoa Keith!
And What do they do at the 'Tokyo Rose Broadcasting Company'?
Watching MSNBC these days reminds me of that Star Trek Episode 'Mirror, Mirror' (Seaseon 2, Episode 4).
MSNBC reports from a parallel universe.
"What they do at Fox News isn't news?"
Man, if I had a nickel for every time I heard him snipe that, I'd probably have an extra $10 to $15 in my wallet.
Mike C, yeah I thought you were gone for awhile. You are certainly back and loaded for bear!
Olbermann is going after FNC from top to bottom this week and last to belay any idea that he was party to the 'truce'. This issue just might be the one that sends him all the way to the loony bin.
Fear not citizens. The voices of calm, reason, and sober temperance are alive and kicking. Backing Olbermosexual at every insane turn are Larry O'Donnell, Melissa Harris-Laceyunderalls, and Shannyn fucking Moore! WTF??
These people are so pitiful that I find myself missing Fineman and Alter. Will it be long before I begin to pine for "Ugene-Ugene, the Pulitzer winning dancing machine.
OH, BTW Assholebermann.....don't forget about the blonde who "kneecapped" your fat ass awhile back.
How is it that upper class (usually white) liberal elites became the be all end all on what constitutes racism? I don't get it. This attitude is displayed almost 24/7 on msnbc. Olby shouts racism as much as the rest of us use common words like "hello" or "the" in a single day. What's stranger to me is that lib elites get away with the "oh, I can't be a racist, I have black friends" line every time just b/c a majority of minorities are typcally democrats. Does anyone else notice this trend or am I out a limb here?
"Melissa Harris-Laceyunderalls"? Hilarious. I hope Professor Harris-Lacewell isn't reading this. Has Keith referred to Shannyn Moore as "someone that speaks for *real* Alaskans" yet? He might as well, right? Close-minded Larry (see Peter Schiff interview when Lar filled in for Schultz) was on, too? Alter, Fineman, and Geno (as I call him) Robinson will probably be on later in the week.
You're right, Irush. The "upper class (usually white) liberal elites," as you referred to them, are always quick to play the race card for people they ideologically disagree with. Just ask Rep. Pete King (R-NY 3rd, my district) about that.
Goebbels gave BOR the brozne for WPITW. Why? Because he dominates him in the ratings are proves that no one wants to watch Olby spew hate for an hour every night? No, because BOR discussed his ratings dominance. That's it. Olby just cannot handle the fact that he is not #1 and not the center of attention. He cannot beat BOR in reporting the news, analysis or debate so he attacks him and Fox News.
Cankles attempts to answer why The Factor and Fox News have such high ratings. "What they do at Fox News is not news. They bailed out of the live coverage of the Obama town hall today...what they do is just hatred, and prejudice and paranoia reinforcement. Both sides of an issue are covered with balance. One is treated as the revealed word and to balance that the other side is dismissed as smear mongering and government takeovers and the work of loons. There's no news on Fox News".
Of course Olby did not offer facts or examples...just pure biased commentary and lies. Wouldn't you agree that Olby is a smear monger and a loon?
OK, lets break this down. Fox News is not news but just deals in hatred, prejudice and paranoia. Are you f-ing kidding me? This from a HACK that NEVER HAS AN OPPOSING POINT OF VIEW ON HIS SHOW AND HAS NEVER DEBATED ANYONE ABOUT ANY SUBJECT. A network that deals in nothing but hate and was openly biased and rooting for Obama to win the presidency. Yeah, that's a really balanced network.
I checked the top 5 stories over at MSNBC.com that Cankles has covered since his return (7 shows). You want to talk about hatred and prejudice. His #5 story every single night was bashing the protesters with such phrases as, "racism and health care town halls, political terrorists bombarding town hall meetings, Republicans inciting anti-health care riots and GOP mobs disrupt town halls".
Then you have that juvenile, hate-spewing, creepy voiced segment called WPITW. Talk about hatred. It is nothing but pure hatred and a direct attack on Fox News...every single night. All of this and I haven't even mentioned Sarah Palin or President Bush.
Keith Olbermann accusing another network of "hatred" and "prejudice" is laughable. I am totally convinced this man is delusional and needs several years of therapy along with several doses of medication.
Great Thanks, Brad. That was a pleasure to read. I noticed that some people at the Specter town hall wore blue t-shirts with "The Mob" printed on them as a slight on critics, like Keith, that dismiss and mock them. Ha!
As to Keith's continuation of Olbermann Lies, here are some e-mails read tonight on "The Factor":
Angela McNamara, Allentown, PA: "Bill, congratulations to Fox News on the great ratings. My husband and I wised up a couple of years ago and came over from NBC News."
Frank Magurany, Belleville, IL: "Mr. O'Reilly, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back over your ratings. *Many liberals like myself only watch to see what lies you're going to tell."*
Bill's response: *"Name one, pal. You can't. Pathetic."*
[An e-mail asking why CNN claims they're number one. Not relevant to this thread.]
Michael Ellis, Newburgh, NY: "Fox News is not fair. It's just more entertaining."
Two of those letters are from people that apparently think like Keith. They even sound like he did tonight.
brad90956, what Olby needs is electro-shock therapy. Who cares if it works.
THIS JUST IN!!!!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!
Hollywood has just anounced that they will be casting Lawrence O'Donnell & Keith Olbermann to star in a Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau re-make, to start filming in early 2010!!!!!!
The Movie? 'Grumpy Old A**-Holes'!
Gibson had a Olbermann bit in the second hour of his show. Was falling asleep when it happened, so couldn't tell you what happened.
Monica Crowley, a freguent FACTOR guest and, I believe, sub, describes Olbermann's, and all leftist's problem, perfectly....
"The majority Democrats, intoxicated with power, are brimming with a haughty self-righteousness that is now veering into a prideful arrogance and self-destructive narcissism. Having misread their 2008 election victory as a mandate to push through liberalism on a grand scale, they are now stunned by opposition to their radical plans. To them, the depth and intensity of the dissent is unexpected and shocking.
"One thing about liberals: It doesn't even occur to them that there is another side to an argument. They are so convinced of the righteousness of their own position that it doesn't dawn on them that a reasonable person might have a different viewpoint."

Olbermann dismisses millions of people, out-of-hand, in his superficial and specious analysis of FNC's domination. Holding an alternative view seems impossible to Olbermann which, again, shows how ill-equipped he has become to be an honest broker in any news organization.
I am glad there is such push-back to the radical agenda and arrogance of Obama and his ilk....A more moderate and rational result may still be possible with the radical left's dreams, including single payer healthcare, thwarted. Olbermann and his minions, try as they might, cannot silence the common sense and good-faith approach of the majority of the American people. Thank God.
Obama wanted to avoid all of this with a rushed process finishing prior to the recess....We now see why....his radical agenda is unpopular with the majority and really only strongly supported by a small fringe group of leftists....this is why we do not see a large revolt in favor of the President's plan.
Olbermann is shocked and then cynically follows the fringe hate agenda. What a guy.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?

Well, the way I see it is Keithy cannot beat BOR by reporting the news, or analysis (there is NO debate on Countdown), in an ESPN sports reporting format. Keithy was very successful at ESPN with a partner using that format reporting on major sporting events, using copious amounts of snark. He tried to bring the same format to Countdown, albeit with more edge to his snark, but he has no partner to help carry him, and of course, he does no actual reporting, rather, as has been proven time and time again, he lazily rips from blue blog sources, while most, if not, all of the time, never confiriming the sources or the reports himself. When Keithy was supposedly "speaking truth to power" during the Bush administration, this formula was mildly successful, because he attracted some of the growing numbers of people who became dissaffected with Bush. Now that he is a propaganda minister, he is limited to preachig to the choir. That tells me that Americans as a whole, tend toward a distrust of the government, and the polls are starting to support this (as they did during the latter years of Bush). The two sad aspectes of Keithy's situation are: one, GE, through MSDNC, pays him 7+ million to consistently come in second to BOR. Talk about overpaying! But, because GE is only interested in acquiring government contracts throught the Obama administration, with Keithy's propaganda broadcasts supposedly aiding this goal, the farce is obvious. Two, and worst of all, he has a loyal choir of a million or so morons.
Bill O'Relly's increasing his gain
Olby's viewers are circling the drain
To summarize:
He's three times Olby's size
It's driving Olberdouchebag insane
I TRIED reading the Senate Health Care Bill today and to tell you the truth, I only understood about 1% of it. The language is so dry and stale that only an experienced attorney could understand it...after reading it 2 or 3 times. I am not an idiot and I do have a college degree but this thing is impossible to understand.
From what I've been reading and hearing on television, the major issue with health care has been the cost, i.e., what Americans pay for health care or that Americans cannot afford health care. I did not read one thing in the health care bill that deals with costs or how we are going to pay for it.
In my opinion, there are two ways to dramatically cut the cost of health care. First, tort reform. Hospitals and doctors pay so much for malpractice insurance and are so afraid of being sued that they order many unnecessary tests so they will not get sued. Too many frivolous lawsuits are causing doctors to practice "defensive medicine". We need to adopt the "Loser pays" rule in which requires the loser of a civil suit to compensate the winner for his or her attorney's fees. This would deter marginal lawsuits and tactical litigation, and would create proper incentives for litigation.
Secondly, after watching The Factor, BOR and Karl Rove made an excellent point. There are thousands of insurance companies in the US but you can only buy insurance from a company in your own state. If you opened up the competition nationwide that would allow you to choose any provider in any state, it would cut the cost dramatically. Allow all insurance companies that deal in health care to compete in every state. We already do that with auto insurance so why not do it with health insurance.
Why isn't anyone over at MSNBC talking about these issues? Why isn't Olby, Matthews, ED or Maddow offering any type of solutions to health care? Instead of hating and attacking the protesters 24-7, why don't you try and help the situation by offering ideas and debating the issues. All this attacking, claims of racism, mobs, right wing extremists doesn't help the situation at all. It just divides Americans and in the end we are right back where we started.
brad, allow me to make an attempt at an explaination.
The Democrats, and sycophants like Olbermann, want to control the insurance industry. If they can achieve that through a single payer, government run system, they control the doctors, procedures, and of course the patients ("we the people"). This garners them the high ground when it comes to populist issues on health care, and thus, resulting votes. If they can achieve control by controlling (through legislation and regulations) the insurance companies, they can curry favors from executives (camaign contributions, etc.), and control the procedures, thus, like the above example, the patients ("we the people"). They above all, do not want a true free market system (as the founders wanted), as then, they cannot demand/exhert influence and/or control. By the way, I don't give the GOP much credit either, because if the Democrats were to enact their goal of government run health care, the GOP, if put back in majority power, has never (in my lifetime) shown the political courage to reverse any socialists policies enacted by the Democrats. The best that could be hoped for, is reform.
I know my answer sounds cynical, but like the founders, I distrust an unlimited government, especially when they exert too much control over my everyday life. Controlling health care, increases government control over my life.
"But somehow liberals have drifted into a strange servility toward big government, which they revere as a godlike foster father-mother who can dispense all bounty and magically heal all ills. The ethical collapse of the left was nowhere more evident than in the near total silence of liberal media and Web sites at the Obama administration’s outrageous solicitation to private citizens to report unacceptable 'casual conversations' to the White House. If Republicans had done this, there would have been an angry explosion by Democrats from coast to coast. I was stunned at the failure of liberals to see the blatant totalitarianism in this incident, which the president should have immediately denounced. His failure to do so implicates him in it."

So true and I am amazed I agree with Camille Paglia for once....
I am becoming so immune to the hypocrisy displayed by the radical left. This is not good.
VERO POSSUMUS! WTF?
I know for sure, Syvyn, that John had an Olby/MSNBC bit in the first hour today.
I just subscribed to premium podcasts for his show. Yes, there was an Olby bit in Hour 2 yesterday. I tuned in one hour too late.
Tuesday's numbers: At 8:00, Keith Mobbermann came in second in total viewers, the 35-64 demo, and the 25-54 demo. At 10:00, he was thankfully third in all three categories.
Via the transcript, here are last night's Worse and Worst snipes.
"But first, time for COUNTDOWN's number two story, tonight's worst persons in the world, brought to you by Fixed News [Ding!], which today saw Geico and Sargento Cheese join the advertiser boycott of Glenn Lonesome Roads [Ding!] Beck.
The bronze to Bill-O the clown [Ding!]. His lead story last night, Bill-O the clown [Ding!], his ratings. His second story last night, Bill-O [Ding!] the clown, with a guest on to talk about his ratings. His fourth story last night was Bill-O the clown [Ding!], about the picture of him on the cover of "Parade Magazine.""
Wait. Stop the transcript. Another Olbermann Lie. The latter segment was on the *attacks* Bill was getting--on both sides--to his Parade magazine column: What President Obama Can Teach America's Kids. The column was aimed *at kids*. In that segment was Mary Katharine Ham of The Weekly Standard blog and *liberal talk radio host* Leslie Marshall.
Anyway...
"His last story last night was Bill-O the clown, about his ratings again. He did briefly suspend his televised self-gratification, but then it was back to the ratings. He notes their increase and asks a salient question: (Ted Baxter voice): "why is this happening? Well, a major reason is the health care debate. While the other network news broadcasts downplay the dissent and promote the government takeover of the health care industry, Fox News highlights the intense debate.""
Monday's full Talking Points Memo can be read here. Let's read it, shall we? The Olby-read parts are surrounded by asterisks.
"Last Thursday was a huge victory for FOX News. "The Factor" at 8:00 p.m. beat CNN by 380 percent, MSNBC by 247 percent and Headline News by 299 percent. Total "Factor" audience for 8 and 11 was 5.4 million folks, more viewers than the "CBS Evening News" averaged last month.
Beck, Smith, Greta, and "The Factor" all won their time slots easily. In fact, last Thursday, those programs beat all four competitors combined.
So *why is this happening? Well, a major reason is the health care debate. While the other network news broadcasts downplay the dissent and promote the government takeover of the health care industry, FOX News highlights the intense debate.* When we cover the town hall meetings, we don't describe the protesters as loons. We don't denigrate people who disagree with President Obama. That's the big difference between FOX News and all the others.
Now, some liberals will say we intentionally glorify the protesters. That doesn't happen here [on 'The Factor']. We've said there's no doubt some of the dissent is organized by people who dislike President Obama. That's a fact, and we've reported it.
"The Factor" also gives voice to both sides, something you will never get on NBC News. So, fair-minded Americans know our reporting is honest, while much of the other TV news media is simply in the tank for the president.
Now you'd think that liberal Americans would flock to hear their side propped up, but that's clearly not happening. For libs, conservatives and independents alike, there's really no choice. They have to watch us if they want to know what's going on. And they are in record numbers.
"Talking Points" is not gloating, just reporting. But the massive viewership to FOX News is a watershed moment in media history. There is no question anymore that FOX News is now the most powerful voice in the news media, despite unrelenting attacks from almost all other press organizations.
The American people are not stupid. They know the health care deal is extremely important. They know the country is running up debt that could destroy the U.S. dollar. They know the president has not been able to explain why the health care plan is good for the country.
Most of the other media ignore those things. We do not. FOX News is designed to be provocative, truthful and look out for the regular folks. That's why our ratings are so dominant.
And that's "The Memo.""
Since Keith had no ratings to tout, he had to go back in time:
"He has not asked a question about the ratings since last year when he accused the Nielsen Company of altering them to make Fox look bad. Haven't heard much about that lately. Since he has asked why Fox's ratings are up, let me answer it for him. The answer is what they do at Fox News is not news. They bailed out of a live coverage of the Obama town hall today. What they do is just hatred and prejudice and paranoia reinforcement.
Both sides of an issue are covered with balance. One is treated as the revealed word. And to balance that, the other side is dismissed as fear mongering and government takeovers and the work of loons. There's no news on Fox News. And Bill O'Reilly is not a journalist, nor a newsman, nor a reporter. In fact, to borrow somebody else's phrase, as a reporter, I wouldn't send Bill O'Reilly to cover a John over-flowing."
This coming from a man that pretends to be a journalist, pretends to be a newsman, and pretends to be a reporter. Buddy, you are neither of those things. And to borrow the phrase you borrowed, I wouldn't send Keith Olbermann to cover a John overflowing.
Ahead to Worst...
"But our winner is Dick Morris. Not only insisting that those opposed to health care reform ignore the pleadings, even from some Republicans, to be polite at the town hall, but encouraging them to, well, influence the Blue Dog Democrats who might yet delay reform. If the Blue Dogs, quote [Ding!], (Morris mock voice): "are not terrorized during August by the public outpouring, and they don't have thousands and thousands of hand-written letters on their doorstep waiting for them when they return from their August recess, they'll fold."
Terrorize; Dick Morris actually used the word terrorize to suggest what should be done to U.S. Congressmen, to U.S. citizens. This is the second time in a month Fox has put somebody on who has either advocated a terror attack by bin Laden in this country, as if it would be good for this country, or use the actual term terrorism as if it should be directed towards any American ever.
And nobody's been fired. Nobody's been suspended. Nobody's been reprimanded. Nobody's been made to retract or correct the comments, on the air or off. Probably because Fox's executives have spent the summer trying to suppress criticism of their worthless product, or because they agree with Dick Morris, today's worst person in the world."
Oy. Thank goodness (I didn't say "God," Keith) you continue to lose in the ratings. It is always satisfying to watch you lose; VERY satisfying, Sparky.
I didn't know that Ed Shultz had "Gallagher" on his show today? Haha. This dude looked all freaked out, like he was on meth.
Like I said in a previous post, Cankles never debates anyone or brings in an opposing point of view and still has the balls to say another network is not balanced. He IS a SMEAR MONGER and a LOON that sits behind his desk lobbing scripted insults and attacks from a teleprompter. He is afraid of a face to face debate on the issues because his 12 viewers will realize what everyone else already knows...he's a fraud. That's why he mocks people in the WPITW segment using those creepy voices. He can't compete with real journalists and commentators to analyze the issues and present an objective viewpoint so he has to do his little comedy routine.
I can't believe this HACK is still on the air. Obama must have a lot of influence at G.E.
