Edward R Olbermann spent Wednesday's Hour of Spin without reporting on Fort Hood, emails to Al-Qaeda, Hasan, or anything else that didn't fit his talking points. Because on OlbyPlanet, if Olby just decides not to report it, then it didn't happen! Prepare to recap tonight's propagandarama right here. Comments are open!
All I can do is think back to Ft. Dix plot and how Olby used to mock the idea of a terrorist shooting up a military base. I'm sure many here remember this as well. Pretty amazing how blatant Olbys selective amnesia is these days.
I posted this in the other thread just as this was being created, so obviously I am curious to get ya'lls take on it...
Dumb question, but seeing as that most of us frequent this site and other media \ conservative sites, let alone watch more cable news (some of us I'm assuming anyway) then should be recommended, would any of you actually buy a calendar, say, designed to make fun of our "favorite" villains with tidbits of trivia?
I'm sure its been thought of before, but I'm curious nonetheless.
Hey KOlby,
Perhaps someone could do a "12 days of hypocrisy" calendar/cd/dvd montage of the Olberdouche. I know that 12 days isnt enough to squeeze in all of the hypocrisy/ faux indignation that the fat one spews out all week, but im sure it would be a hit with everyone who doesnt watch his show (which is a lot of people cause almost no one watches his show).
Lol, good point... Clearly I'm unsure though who may actually buy it... I think I've got a few great ideas, themes, etc, but would something like this really sell? I mean yeah, he'd buy one, he'd have too. Maybe some Foxies \ CNNites, hell, even those at the DNC's prop network, but enough to make it worthwhile? Would you olbermacht?
How bout the rest of ya'll? (A website would help I'm sure.)
Well,
I would buy it personally. I cant speak for anyone else but id like to see more of the mainstream America see this pompous blowhard for the douchebag he is. Id love to be on his WPITW list though. Reason is because everyone that is on that list is effective at spreading the message about the leftists lies and bad policy. No wonder he attacks Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh every night.
I just sat through 6:52 of video featuring a misogynistic, juvenile creep with a severe obsession and hated for women and a gay "columnist" that obviously hates women. Yes, it was the Olbermann/Musto show tonight on MELTDOWN. I will spare you the entire interview and give you their insightful, meaningful quotes on a beauty contestant and the Larry King Live interview.
1) Musto: "I thought when you masturbate a lot you go blind, I'm wearing bifocals." Then Olby let out a really creepy laugh...like a 9 year old peeping through his neighbor's window.
2) Musto: "She's a woman of many textures though she does not wear many of them."
3) Olby: "This was not the first time she handled it all herself on camera."
Wow! Now that's award winning journalism, folks. Obviously waaaaay more important than, lets say, Ft. Hood, Afghanistan, unemployment or the false numbers put out by the WH on jobs/stimulus package.
Well done, Keith.
MSNBC...The Place for Politics...and masturbation jokes.
This is the 3rd day since Olbermann has not covered the terrorist attack at Ft. Hood. Good night and good luck.
#5A: Beating up on Rep. Bart Stupak with Rachel Maddow.
#5B: A far-left Reverend dropped by to pick up on the 5A discussion.
#4: Bush! Jonathan Alter piled on.
#3: Sarah Palin's book tour has begun. Let's keep attacking her. Olby and Chris Kofinis did just that.
#2: Worsts. Worse was Ben Gleck. Blue blog source: Media Matters. Keith read a transcript in his stock Beck voice rather than play the audio that the Brock Boys provided. Nothing Nazi-era Germany-related gets by Herr Olbermahn.
Worser was Lou Dobbs. Blue blog source: Think Propaganda. How dare Lou speak ill of Think Propaganda and the organization behind them. Krazy Keith's current Dobbs voice is slow and slurred...like a deranged guy. Ha-ha! Lou quit! Ha-ha! The guy that shot at Dobbs was "some hunter with bad aim who accidentally hit the alumnium siding on Dobbs' rural farmhouse. We're [shooter, Geraldo, Keith] a regular *Al Capone* gang, aren't we?!" This is on par with his assessment of the Fort Dix guys, isn't it?
I don't care about Worst. I'm skipping ahead.
#1: Carrie Prejean's bizarre appearance on "Larry King Live." And it *was* bizarre. I said the following early this morning at Johnny Dollar's Place:
"Just when I thought Carrie Prejean had redeemed herself, this happened. The person that threatens to walk off or does walk off is always perceived to be the loser because it indicates that they have something to hide. And since it's Carrie Prejean, everyone that hates her (Keith Olbermann) now has more fodder to attack her. Way to go. ..."
And sure enough, that's what happened in #1. And guess who was the guest was? Yep: Michael Musto. More references to THE TAPE and what happened on THE TAPE. The Great Moments in Journalism keep on coming.
That'll do it for my recap. Courage.
Correction: And guest who the guest was?
Did you like my homage to Dan Rather?
Greta Van Susteren made an excellent point tonight. The White House cannot even keep track of the stimulus bill, the jobs created or saved or anything else associated with it. How in the hell are they going manage health care when they've totally just screwed up something like the stimulus bill???
It's a pretty scary thought.
The majority of Americans know that anything the government runs or controls gets totally screwed up or they send it straight into bankruptcy.
The 2010 elections are going to be really interesting.
Mission A: Provide one (1) swine flu (H1N1) shot for each American who desires it BEFORE the end of FLU SEASON.
Mission B: Provide health care for every American (and ANYONE ELSE who happens to be living in America) whether they want it or not.
In order to qualify for Mission B, an entity must COMPLETE Mission A.
Wonder who qualifies first. Government with endless capital and no regulation or private enterprise with limited capital and tons of regulation?
Gentlemen, place your bets!
I documented yesterday how Olbermann was hypocritical regarding calling something terrorism within 1-2 days of the event when it was "domestic right-wing" terrorism but feels it is not important to cover an evolving story of islamic fundamentalist terrorism that occurred under Obama's watch on a US Army base.....Well, now I know this is not "Maddow Watch," but, (thanks to NEWSBUSTERS), she went even further is being a hypocrite when it comes to political manipulation of the news, even with a terrorist attack that resulted in the death of 14 innocent people....
"'And the charges today didn't include anything related to terrorism,' Maddow said. 'Terrorism is not just conceptual political jargon. It's a legal term and it has interestingly changed over the past few years. In order for something to be legally considered terrorism, do you have to be taking instructions from a terrorist group? Do you have to have some sort of clear political motive behind the violence? Is it about the way that you commit the crime, what sort of weapons that you use in doing? Is it about how many people that you kill in your crime? Is it about the specific type of people you target, whether they're civilian or military?'
[...]
"'If you're interested in more than just making political hay out of the Fort Hood case, these are the sort of legitimate questions you would want to ask before labeling this or any case an instance of terrorism,' Maddow said. 'Those who are calling this terrorism or making their case in large part because Maj. Hasan is a Muslim and because he's alleged to have said ‘God is great' before the shootings. And while it might make for exciting politics to argue murders by committed religious Muslims are presumptively terrorist acts, THOSE EXCITING POLITICAL ALLEGATIONS ACTUALLY SAY A LOT MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE MAKING THEM THAT THEY DO ABOUT THE REAL CHARACTER OF THE TRAGEDY AT FORT HOOD AND HOW WE, AS A COUNTRY SHOULD RESPOND TO IT.'"

Well now....lets go to the transcript from THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW 2 days after Dr. Tiller's murder at the hands of a lone gunman.....
MADDOW: We begin tonight with another deadly act of domestic terrorism.

So I suppose one person's terrorist act is another's attempt to try to make political hay! How nice of Maddow to make it perefectly clear where her motivations were back in June regarding the abortion issue and her motivations about covering this latest act of islamic terrorism....
"'Remember this one? Yes, it is the old 'paint the Democrats as soft on terror' routine,' Maddow said. 'But in order to play that politicizing terrorism, anti-Democratic greatest hits, the Fort Hood case has to be terrorism.'"

Wow. Clear as crystal....Maddow and Olbermann are concerned about the POLITICAL implications of calling something terrorism! Whether the story is simply ignored (Olbermann) or a defense is made NOT to call something terrorism (when it was quickly used as a label just 5 months ago when it involved right-wing fundamentalism) when evidence is building that it indeed an act of terror (Maddow), MSNBC's primetime duo are hypocrites, intellectually dishonest hacks.
Where are the MSNBC defenders? I need to hear some kind of defense of this malpractice!
Oh well....the cult of Obama followers are saying more by their silence now. Silence is better that what we used to get here!
VERO POSSUMUS, indeed. Wee weed?
I wonder if Cankles will have any dissenting opinion regarding Obama's decision to try the mastermind of 9/11 in civil court?
I wonder if the "analysis" of this important issue will just have passing, dissmissing snark aimed at Republicans who disagree with Obama OR....
will Cankles have a once favorite Democrat of COUNTDOWN to give his opinion.....Senator James Webb...
"I have never disputed the constitutional authority of the President to convene Article III courts in cases of international terrorism. However, I remain very concerned about the wisdom of doing so. Those who have committed acts of international terrorism are enemy combatants, just as certainly as the Japanese pilots who killed thousands of Americans at Pearl Harbor. It will be disruptive, costly, and potentially counterproductive to try them as criminals in our civilian courts.
"The precedent set by this decision deserves careful scrutiny as we consider proper venues for trying those now held at Guantanamo who were apprehended outside of this country for acts that occurred outside of the country. And we must be especially careful with any decisions to bring onto American soil any of those prisoners who remain a threat to our country but whose cases have been adjudged as inappropriate for trial at all. They do not belong in our country, they do not belong in our courts, and they do not belong in our prisons.
"I have consistently argued that military commissions, with the additional procedural rules added by Congress and enacted by President Obama, are the most appropriate venue for trying individuals adjudged to be enemy combatants."

I agree with Mr. Webb on this one and I imagine many conservatives do.....Will Olbermann HONESTLY cover this issue with Webb's dissent or will be be the usually leftist Obama cult follower deriding any dissent of the administration's as political and unpatriotic?
Bets anyone?
Another Maddow-related post at NewsBusters: MSNBC's Maddow Charges 'Cowardly Pro-Life Stupak 'Targeting Women' Who 'Can't Fight Back [Ding!]'.
This is what happened in #5A that I couldn't bear to watch outside of the video still on the "Countdown" website (Dings added by me):
"On Thursday's Countdown show, as MSNBC's Keith Olbermann hosted fellow host Rachel Maddow to plug a segment on her show about pro-life Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak's push to block any ObamaCare proposal that involves taxpayer funding of abortion, Maddow charged that Stupak was being 'coward' in focusing his pro-life attention 'targeting' poor women who 'won't fight back [Ding!] or can't fight back [Ding!] because they don’t have the resources [Ding!].'
Maddow's contention came as Olbermann – ignoring the political reality that not only does an individual Congressman have little if any influence in a President's choice of Supreme Court nominees, but that even mustering a two-thirds vote to overturn Roe vs. Wade by constitutional amendment would be nearly impossible in any Congress, let alone an overwhelmingly Democratic one – tried to undermine Stupak's moral authority on abortion by suggesting the Michigan Democrat was not willing to 'fight that fight in the open.'
"Olbermann: 'If he feels this way, why not introduce a constitutional amendment, draw up a federal law – gee, if maybe you could get more conservatives on the Supreme Court than you have now? Isn't a legal half-measure sideways, coming in sideways against abortion politically worse than a legal full measure?'
Maddow essentially accused Stupak of picking on defenseless women as she responded: 'I'm sure he's delighted to be able to try to restrict abortion rights [Ding!] purely by going after women who he thinks won't fight back [Ding!], by targeting women who are not well off enough [Ding!] to be able to pay for abortion services without insurance coverage for them.'
After charging that Stupak's efforts – like the Hyde Amendment – are a sign of not being 'brave enough to make your argument on its face," she continued: 'They're not really man enough to make the argument that it ought to just be gone. They'd rather just chip away from it from women they think won't fight back [Ding!] or can't fight back [Ding!] because they don't have the resources [Ding!]. It's cowardly, but it's the way they've been doing it for a generation.'"
The problem is that the MSM is suppressing many facts related to Ft. Hood. If you check out Canadian or UK newspaper sites, you will find many interesting, irrefutable "terrorism" information.
