Olbermann Watch, "persecuting" Keith since 2004

    November 6, 2009
Red Eye Gang Plus Ann Coulter Beat Up (Figuratively) Keith Olbermann!

Greg Gutfeld and Andy Levy were filling in for John Gibson on the radio today. They got in some good shots at the infamous, deplorable one, then kicked it up a notch by bringing in Ann Coulter. It's perfect Friday fun listening, so listen up, listen-uppers.

I again, (believe this will make a week now), await Olbermann speaking truth to power tonight over the adminisration's lies regarding the effect the stimulus had on job creation....Another documented example of Obama lying comes out again today.....

Many California jobs 'saved' by stimulus funds weren't in jeopardy

"Up to one-fourth of the 110,000 jobs reported as saved by federal stimulus money in California probably never were in danger, a Bee review has found.

"California State University officials reported late last week that they saved more jobs with stimulus money than the number of jobs saved in Texas – and in 44 other states.

"In a required state report to the federal government, the university system said the $268.5 million it received in stimulus funding through October allowed it to retain 26,156 employees.

"That total represents more than half of CSU’s statewide work force. However, university officials confirmed Thursday that half their workers were not going to be laid off without the stimulus dollars.

"'This is not really a real number of people,' CSU spokeswoman Clara Potes-Fellow said. 'It’s like a budget number.'"

A budget number?....What does that mean? How many of the "jobs" created or saved are based on this idea of a "budget number." The Obama administration has some explaining to do.

With the unemployment rate up over 10% when Obama promised his stimulus bill, that was rushed through, would keep the rate BELOW 8%, perhaps the democrats should come clean and simply admit their stimulus bill was a big waste of future tax revenue.

Olbermann should be looking into this since he promised his viewers he would hold Obama to account just like he did Bush.....

How many times did Olbermann call Bush a liar?

    VERO POSSUMUS, indeed. Wee weed?

Will Cankles show the following graph on COUNTDOWN tonight?......

    In a word.....Doubtful

Ann Coulter: The Bada-bing of the right wing!!

If you get a chance to see the Ed Show, watch Congressmen Tom Tancredo, serve Markos today with Schuster there dumbfounded. Markos had the gall to tell Tancredo that he was a veteran. Maybe in the fighting 69th.

Hey, everybody, Johnny got linked to by Hot Air to this thread.

It looks like the number one story tonight is THE CARRIE PERJEAN 'SEX TAPE?"

(question mark because it's only alleged at this point and so what if she does have a sex tape?_

Don't know if the guest is going to be man crush Harvey Levin or man crush Michael Musto?

Tonight from 9:15pm to 9:30 pm (EST) both Fox News and CNN cut away from their regularly scheduled broadcasts to cover the LIVE News Conference at Ft. Hood. I was watching Hannity at the time on FOX when they cut away. After a few minutes, I turned the TV to CNN and they too cut away from Larry King and were covering the news conference. So I decided to see if MSNBC was also covering it...guess what I saw? Rachel Maddow smearing Michele Bachman and the DC protesters. They couldn't take 15 minutes out of their schedule to cover a live news conference about the tragic event at Ft. Hood. It was more important for them to continue their hatred and smearing of Americans.

But then it hit's Friday night. Everyone at MSNBC has gone home for the weekend. What was I thinking???

MSNBC "The Place for Politics"...except on the weekends.

The guest was the formerly legitimate comedian Paul F. Tompkins.
As for the rest of the show, the Fort Hood shooting was only covered in one block: #4. Keith's Olbsession devoted four blocks to it: Talking Points/Top Story with Bernie Goldberg, Impact Segment with Geraldo Rivera, Top Story II with Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, and Back of the Book with Bill Hemmer and Rick Leventhal on the scene. Keith's guest for #4? Salon's Mark Benjamin. Salon?! Gee, I wonder how they, and Keith, covered it. (How was it covered in #4? I'm just reporting what's on the video page without watching or with the sound off.)

#5A: Video title: "GOP plan B: Stall." Another Blue Suit Interview with another Victicrat (TM-Larry Elder): Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC).

#5B: Video title: "Republicans a party of last resorts." I'd love to visit those resorts. How much are the rooms per night? Crazy Larry O'D was the guest (again?).

    #4: See above.

Bests: Health care now!, Health care now!, and a "vindshield viper."

#3: Health care now! with an NY State Senator. Two Blue Suit Interviews in one night!

#2: Worsts had a serious tone and was all about politicizing the Foot Hood shooting. Worse was Allen West. Blue blog source: HuffPo. Worser was a Fox & Friends Attack. Blue blog source: Talking Points Memo. Worst was Tom Kenniff. Blue blog source: Crooks & Liars. As usual, it was a blue blog trifecta as the attacks pour on with theatrical solemn faux outrage.

#1: See above. Will the trashing of Carrie Prejean ever stop?

The Kenniff attack concluded by calling him "a jagoff...icer." More of that Murrow-like class from Edward R. Olbermann. As MLong would say, "New Murrow indeed."

To answer your question, Mike. No, the attacks on Ms. Prejean will never stop.

The motivation is that since Keith thinks a Christian is 'perfect' when they do sin, they are hypocrits.

Anyone who knows or is a christiian knows that they are not perfect, that they are human and therefore flawed. That we ask forgiveness from God and Jesus. And they willinig give it. That's something Keith, Harvey Levin, Perez Hilton and the rest of the haters can't understand.

More on WPitW from Brad Wilmouth at NewsBusters: Olbermann Suggests FNC Discriminates Against Non-White or Muslim Employees.

*On Friday's Countdown show, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann suggested that Fox News is a racist organization that would hold race or religion against its employees in awarding promotions, as he used the show's "Worst Person" segment to slam Fox and Friends co-hosts Brian Kilmeade, Gretchen Carlson, and Peter Johnson, for raising questions about whether Muslims serving in the military should be treated with more attention. While every show in MSNBC's primetime lineup has a host who is white and non-Muslim, Olbermann suggested that the Fox and Friends hosts would have trouble succeeding at FNC if they were Muslim or non-white. Olbermann: "Since we're asking questions, I have one for Carlson, Johnson, and Kilmeade. You guys ever wonder if you all succeeded inside a company like Fox mostly because you're not Muslim or black or Asian or Hispanic?"

Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the "Worst Person in the World" segment from the Friday, November 6, Countdown show on MSNBC:
KEITH OLBERMANN: The runners up, Brian Kilmeade, Gretchen Carlson, and Peter Johnson of Fox Noise [Ding!], on the Fort Hood case. Kilmeade: "Do you think it's time for the military to have special debriefings of Muslim Army civil, uh, officers, anybody enlisted. Johnson: "You won't countenance special screenings for Muslim soldiers, will ya?" Carlson: "Could it be that the military was exercising political correctness in not approaching him as seriously as they would have had he not been a Muslim?"
Since we're asking questions, I have one for Carlson, Johnson, and Kilmeade. You guys ever wonder if you all succeeded inside a company like Fox mostly because you’re not Muslim or black or Asian or Hispanic?*

"Markos had the gall to tell Tancredo that he was a veteran. Maybe in the fighting 69th." meerkatpooh

God he he still trying to push that?,,well he's on the right network can lie all you want as long as you a Lib and no one on MSNBC will call you on having ol'"Screw them"Markos to lecture about hateful protest is a bit much isn't it?

As fo KO god I'd wish he would go see his"sick"dad because seeing him just pay the Hood shooting so little attention because he can't play his it's all O'Reilly fault card is even more annoying than KO usually fair . New Murrow indeed.

Ann had one little slight detail wrong. The Black guy that was beaten by SEIU thugs was NOT at a Tea Party in St. Louis, Mo, he was at a Senator's Townhall out there. He was giving free flags away, that said, "Don't tread on me."

But otherwise, she was spot on.

The lady needs to marry ME. so, I can keep her straight on details. ;-P

"MSNBC host Keith Olbermann suggested that Fox News is a racist organization that would hold race or religion against its employees"Mike C

Yea because MSNBC is just overflowing with Black and Muslim onair hosts. New Murrow indeed.

I didn't write that; Brad Wilmouth did at NewsBusters. I put asteriks around what he wrote.

    Correction: asterisks.

"You guys ever wonder if you all succeeded inside a company like Fox mostly because you’re not Muslim or black or Asian or Hispanic?"

Just off the top of my head, you have Geraldo Rivera (Hispanic), Julie Banderas (Mixed - Hispanic/White) and Harris Faulkner (Black).

I think Olby needs to do a little better job fact checking his statements...You know, double check with Kos Kids and Media Matters.

Both organizations are all white in their prime time lineups so I have no idea why Olby would make such a statement? Oh, that's right...he's an idiot and a hypocrite.

Keithy, do you not realize that your white, Madcow is white, Eddy is white, Mr thrill up his leg is white ..... heck your whole lineup is a bunch of crackers.

Keithy you will need a ladder to get off your high horse. You and your ilk are all hypocrites!!!!

OBTW, The clip was so funny. Love the mocking of the racist keithy!

Those overused cliches just keep coming up here at OW.....

Throwing stones from in front of your glass house.....

    Pots calling kettles black......

Also those good ol' interactions Christ had with the pompous, self-rightous leaders of his day....they seem so frequently applicable here as well.....

Removing specks from another's eye while there's a plank in your's....

Those that are without sin may cast the first stone.....

I wonder why OLBERMANN WATCH sees these gems so frequently?...

I just can't put my finger on it.....Could it be something he does every program?....some recurrent segment?.......a segment that puts Olbermann as the judge of others?

    Keith is head of douchebaggery
    Markos and Musto got faggery
    It's no Morning Joe
Wins hands down for her two-baggery

To add to what Brad wrote: Kris Gutierrez, Wendell Goler, Juan Williams, Craig Rivera.

Good call Brad and Mike C. Typical liberalism. Point out everybody else's "racism" while ignoring your own. I don't know all of the personalities at MSNBC but they seem like more of a cracker box than FNC.

    And now, this:

Speculate if you must. Personally I don't see any changes coming in the near future. That and MSNBC is just one cog in the wheel of NBCU.

Say what you will about Fox News, whether they lie or tell the truth, they get viewers and they make money. Were Comcast to follow through with this deal it'd be smart to follow whatever formula FNC has used to dominate.

Looking at the list of channels they control the only crap ones are NBC and MSNBC. We'll see what happens.

I just thought isn't one of O'Reilly's guest host (one that kicks KO butt like everyone else) a person of color?...or is Juan Williams not considered Black anymore since he doesn't tow the partyline? New Murrow indeed.

    Another one: Charles Payne.

What will Monday's WPITW be: To BHO for giving a shoutout to a medal of freedom winner and calling it the medal of honor. This during a news conference about fort hood and then not even taking the time out to vist the wound soldiers.
to GWB for visting the troops in fort hood after the shooting, because for some reason yet TBD it was his fault.

Mike C asks : Will the trashing of Carrie Prejean ever stop?

It's starting become apparent that Ms Prejean might be deserving of her negative image. The revelation that a "very adult" sex tape starring her (and nobody else) exists has clinched it for me.
What's next for her? I'm thinking maybe she should hook up with Levi Johnston.

Dan, you're right. I had to do a Google News search and you're right. Too bad. What's worse is the Olby's and the Musto's of the world will use her as a club to beat all media and commentators that supported her because of her faith and ideology. Too damn bad.

Just saw on Fox News the House passed their Health Care Bill by a vote of 220-215.

Madcow is going to be on Meet the Press.

And I'm just going to guess that she'll blame Bush for everything.

    New Jessica Savich indeed!

I'm sure the MikeH onslaught will come soon. This is a big W for his ilk. He can tell us how conservatives are evil and how Olbermann's Special Comment was the motivator blah blah blah.

Need I remind people that this will unlikely pass the Senate in its current form, which means if they change it back to the House it goes. We'll see.

Cap and Trade was passed in the House as well. Look how far that got.

That's true. I listened to a few comments on the passage of the bill (Republican and Democrat)...both said changes will be made.

The far left is upset with the bill's current form due to the fact that it contains a measure for no federal funding for abortion. Didn't hear what is says about health care for illegal aliens.

Submitted for your approval, this week's Fox Haters Week in Review, featuring our Bathtub Boy.

Just read another article where Joe Lieberman stated if a government plan is part of the deal, "as a matter of conscience, I will not allow this bill to come to a final vote."

    Good job, Joe.

J$ got Olbermann this time with the Fox Haters Week in Review....

    dead on.

Cankles once again shows how intellectually dishonest he can be just to feed his hatred of FNC. This also goes to the bias issue because Olbermann is basically saying that considering the alleged criminal's religious convictions are off limits in this situation...But why?....It seems relgious fundamentalism is an important attribute to Olbermann's analysis when it comes to Christians who get into trouble....

Like Ms. Prejean....(and we all know this story has gotten a lot more coverage on COUNTDOWN than the base massacre....the implications of Ms. Prejean's misteps are MUCH more important than a murder spree, and possible terrorist attack, on a US Army base!)

Ah, but here, the left squirms....When it is not a Christian fundamentalist but an Islamic fundamentalist, the secular left becomes uncomfortable with the potential intolerance and is concerned with appearing bigoted. What a psychological mess these people have become!

Intellectual honesty.....consistency......absent from Keith Olbermann's psyche. QUESTIONS are good, and the answers are even better....Why did Olbermann not mention the entire conversation on Fox and Friends?.....J$ hit it right on.

I wonder if Keith Olbermann will note that the ONLY cabler who aired Speaker Pelosi's speech live Saturday was FOX NEWS.

This major story of politcal intrigue and great national economic/social impact took place over thee weekend and it seems MSNBC decided to stay with it's pathetic regular programming.

Real journalists documented the story, live, as it was unfolding over at FNC.

Faux journalists at MSNBC will rehash and spin the news during primetime tonight.

Oops, he did it again: Olbermann Uses 'Mash-Up Bag of Meat' Term on Football Night in America.
    Brad Wilmouth writes:
"Several weeks ago, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann used the bizarre – and arguably disturbing – term 'big mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it' to refer to Michelle Malkin as he slammed the conservative blogger, leaving some wondering where his idea for such a crude term came from. This question remains unanswered, but, notably, on Sunday's Football Night in America on NBC, as he recited plays between the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts, Olbermann used a similar term to refer to Kris Brown of the Houston Texans after he failed to score, calling Brown "a big bag full of mashed-up Kris Brown," as he was lying on the ground. (Hat tip to Clint Bradford for emailing in the tip.)
It was on the Tuesday, October 13, Countdown show on MSNBC that Olbermann compared Malkin to a 'big mashed-up bag of meat with lip stick on it' during the show's "Worst Person in the World" segment.
Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the November 8 Football Night in America pregame:
KEITH OLBERMANN: And then the Texans with a final drive, looking to set it on the shoulder and the feet of that guy, Kris Brown, [Matt] Schaub, Andre Johnson, seven yards, 14 seconds left, Schaub, Jacoby Jones eight yards down to the 24, and since Brown made it from 56, this should be a piece of cake. Kris Brown from 42 for the tie after the spike. They set it up for Brown to tie this game up in the waning second and he messes. Looks like a big bag full of mashed-up Kris Brown, and Indianapolis prevails by 20-17."

You could have gotten the same highlights without the ideology, not to mention the snark, on "SportsCenter." That's SportsCenter: snark free since 1997.

Let's go back to Carrie Prejean: I overreacted on Saturday night. A simple mea culpa media tour will remedy herself. Let's just hope she doesn't have anymore sex tapes.
