Once again the Olbermann Watch Research Division poured through the MSNBC online transcripts to see how much attention was paid to key stories and issues over the past week. Here is what our keyword searches found:

Notes: References to Iraq do not include Olbermann's ritual closing mantra.
Congratulations Sarah Palin! You are once again the most important story on Countdown--in fact Sarah Palin was more important than Afghanistan, Iraq, Nidal Hasan, Iran, Pakistan, and unemployment combined! It looks like Keithy has a krush on someone. Awwwwww. Get ready to recap tonight's Hour of Spin. Comments are open!
The numbers say it all:
Palin/Prejean = 165
Terrorism/Hasan = 4
It really doesn't surprise me since that is all the Kos Kids talk about too.
Geez, that first 30 min of Countdown was just pathetic. Reading that sappy "over the top" letter from one of his producers or whatever you call them, who attened one of the Health Clinic things in New Orleans was just too much.
C'mon, it felt more like a "Special Comment" rather than just a puny article writting by basically a staffer on what he experienced.
Saying if you have a heart of stone if it doesn't bother you. Well you know Keith, it didn't...mainly cause I know what you're talking about is pure BS and that's really ALL that it is.
Have all the clinics you want, the fact is your OWN party and yes you idiot I'm calling you out as a freakin Liberal, your OWN party screwed you and your alleged "minons" over and this isn't going to pass.
Health care only needs to be tweaked in areas. Do you think everything should just be handed out to people like it's soup? No, we're not a nation of hand outs, we're a compassionate nation, who help the down-trodden but...BUT, we help them on their feet and point them in the right direction.
What you're insisting on buffoon, is welfare, period! The insurance company needs to be regulated and restruction, the health care system needs slight tweaking here and there, not just Government handouts.
Can you live with long lines and people falling down once they know the keys to the kingdom is free? Cause that will happen if you and your liberal tree hugging, gay KOS friends will get should the distasterous monstrosity passes.
How do you sleep at night? I'll bet good since you make a good enough living spewing basically lies and deciet. And using your parents as a crutch to make yourself come off as more human. Well, you sir...are a fraud. To quote you, they shout put it on a shirt for you to wear. This advice Keith Obermann...Shut the *blank* up!
Thank you.
Olbermann, the despicable bag of mashed up hot gas, drew a connection between Palin and the Fort Hood shooter. Her dad said " She's not retreating, she's reloading." It's hunting season Keith, lots of reloading going on every day. F*** you!
WPitW!
Bronze:Steve Doocy-for Obama bow! Uses lisp. And bonus points for Keithy calling Karl Rove fat! I leave you to bask in the hypocrisy.
Silver: Beck, for the sin of opposing the KSM civilian trial.
GOLD: Bill Kristol- for dare attacking man crush Janet Napaltano. And bonus point for saying Kristol's attack spat in the memory of those killed at Ft. Hood. Now he brings up Ft. Hood?
ANOTHER AWARD WINNING COUNTDOWN TO NO RATINGS!
Then he drew it up again in the Worst Person's segement. Pathetic.
He'll attack Kristol and Palin over the Hood shootings..but wants to say little if nothing about the guy that actually did the shootings? New Murrow indeed.
Mouth breathing idiot Craig Crawford's "expert" view of Palin. This shit is UN-FUCKING-WATCHABLE!
#3: Video title: "Fact-checking [Ding!] Sarah Palin." It was another play [out of context]-and-snark segment starring the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann...without a guest. Bullymann ran clips from Palin's appearance today on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (which I'm halfway through watching on DVR). Keithy, let me break this to you: you are not Jon Stewart. Adjust.
Upon further review, it wasn't too much of a play-and-snark.
Jimmy Fallon & NBC mock the "green movement"...

Related to the Oprah interview, two words best describe Levi Johnston: Useful Idiot. That is what he is: the Useful Idiot.
From Newsbusters:
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tim-graham/2009/11/16/n-y-times-sells-msnbc-progressive-not-partisan
This is my favorite sentence from the article:
"Anita Dunn, the departing White House communications director, calls Mr. Olbermann and Ms. Maddow "progressive but not partisan."
So, Keith Olbermann is NOT PARTISAN??? I just have one question for Ms. Dunn. Can you name me one guest, politician or so-called "expert" Olby has had on his show that is either a Republican or a Conservative?
**Crickets**
I thought so. She obviously took a page from Olby's hypocrisy play book.
If Republicans are on at all, they are speaking against Republicans, conservatives, Fox, or Bush. If you check The List, you'll see a few Republicans, but "speaking out against Bush policies" next their name.
Another note to Keith: episodes of "Oprah" are taped in advance. So, the Fort Hood link doesn't make sense.
I predict that Chris Hayes will be on "Countdown" one day this week to promote The Nation's similarly titled Palin hit book.
To try and grab 65% of the absentee ballots is a longshot, but longshots do come in at the track.
Remember, the White House talking points did say this was the race that counted.

It would be great just to see how the Obama-zombies would react.
It seems there will be a slight delay...

My prediction was on target. The partisan Obama defender, Cankles the clown, dismissed his deep, back-bending bow to the Emperor of Japan with blue blog lies.
The MediaMatters story is a really poor defense of what the President did.....Nixon?....Look at the picture at the link below....he is barely flexing his head and upper back......
Eisenhower?.....First of all, Charles De Gaulle is not a monarch, secondly, I see about a 30% flex at the waist in comparison to Obama's 90% BOW.....

That bad ol' right-wing website, hot air, has a very funny and effective response to the Obama cult defenders.....
Video: 46 handshakes, one bow
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/11/15/video-46-handshakes-one-bow/
###
The cult of personality mentality prohibits even admitting Obama made a mistake in protocol in bowing to the emperor...The left's hatred of the right, when they poke fun at the amateur diplomat still on his learning curve, requires the whining and once again shows the thin skin of the self-proclaimed intellectual elite. Obama's term and campaign has been full of wonderful gaffes, but because there is a myth of celebrity, intellectual heft and sophistication surrounding the empty suit, such facts must be ignored.....especially by those with such deep emotional investments.
VERO POSSUMUS, indeed. Wee weed?
The future for Kountdown's foreboding
From the Nielsen Ratings I'm quoting
Keith's down forty percent
The viewers all went
To FoxNews, That's how they're voting
I think this.....
http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/PhotoPopup.aspx?id=512640
....sums up what Obama was saying with his bow.
And now, it is being reported that Obama is stonewalling Congress on investigations into the possible failures in catching Hasan prior to his terrorist attack....I thought Obama promised his administration was going to be the most open and transparent one in American history?
Again, another, "what if Bush had done it," moment. Olbermann would be SCREAMING about lies and incompetance if Hasan had killed 14 people under Bush's watch....Instead, with Obama in charge, the story gets no coverage on its own and is used as a punchline by Cankles to smear Sarah Palin's father......Olbermann, the partisan leftist shill has NO integrity.
Obama defender and apologist....NBC NEWS must be proud!
VERO POSSUMUS, indeed. Wee weed?
From our friendly neighborhood NewsBusters: Olbermann [in WPitW]: Kristol 'Spitting on Ft. Hood Dead,' O'Reilly Slammed [last Wednesday] for Calling 'Terrorism'.
Via the transcript, here is the Olby portion of #3:
OLBERMANN: Never mind that her guy wiped the floor with you and your guy in the election last year, if you want to move product, you go on Oprah. Sarah Palin's visit to Oprah Winfrey finally aired today. In our third story, a blow-by-blow account of the Palin/Winfrey exchange which, like Sarah Palin herself, was both smiley and confusing [Ding!]. The introduction was not Oprah Winfrey's shoutiest. Palin came on stage to warm applause and embraced Winfrey with an awkward kind of high-fiveish hug. Mind if I call you Joe?
The interview recycled much of what we already knew about the campaign's vetting process, the strained relationship between candidate Palin and her handlers. She said some of them were more worried about her diet than about beating Barack Obama. The discussion also covered those now infamous Katie Couric interviews. Palin still cannot figure out why nobody else but her [Ding!] thinks "What you do you read?" is a gotcha question.
...
OLBERMANN: Palin continued to try to prove a bias on Ms. Couric's part, bringing up the interviewer's abortion line of questioning. Ms. Winfrey pinned [Ding!] the pro-life Republican on the choice she made to keep her most recent child.
...
OLBERMANN: As for this woman's mind, on her political future after having quit [Ding!] her job as governor of Alaska, Palin used a very unfortunate phrase. She said it was borrowed from her father.
...
OLBERMANN: Nothing sells the concept of vote for me in '12 after a mass murder at an army base better than the slogan, "she's not retreating, she's reloading."
Palin did spill the beans about Thanksgiving though no turkeys were harmed [Ding!] during this interview. Her former future son-in-law Levi Johnston is invited to Aunt Katie's house. Hopefully they can get this whole Ricky Hollywood thing squared away. Ricky Hollywood? Well, hopefully he'll wear pants. You'll understand.
...
OLBERMANN: The interview ended with Palin giving a kind of Ned Flanders style shout-out to the lord and to her husband, because their names happen to rhyme.
...
OLBERMANN: And you should see what John McCain's people are saying about the book. Nicolle Wallace says key portions of it are quote [Ding!] "fabricated." Steve Schmidt, "All fiction." That is polite speak for what Republicans would say was, you lie [Ding!]. Just like Steve Doocy at cluster FOX [Ding!] and the rest of the far right [Ding!] going bat crap over Obama bowing to the emperor of Japan. No other president has ever bowed except Nixon and Eisenhower. ...
From there, on to #2, minus what NewsBusters quoted:
"But first, time for COUNTDOWN's number two story, tonight's worst persons in the world. The bronze to Steve Doocy of cluster 'FOX [Ding!] and Friends.' (Blue blog source: Media Matters.) Symbol today of the far right [Ding!], short-term memory less [Ding!] and xenophobic [Ding!] panic [Ding!] about the president bowing in respectful greeting to the emperor of Japan-'233 years of precedent dating back to the very founding of this republic, American leaders do not bow to leaders of other countries. But the president there he is, bowing. He bowed to King Abdullah earlier in the year as well. The administration said, look, it's just protocol, it's one of those things they do.'
And then Porky Pig [Ding!] says, I think it was inappropriate. No, no, not Porky Pig [Ding!], Karl Rove, sorry. Doocy then says it again, 'You know the long-standing precedents going back to the founding of the republic, American presidents don't bow to anybody.'
You're wrong. Here's Richard Nixon bowing to Hirohito in 1971. Hirohito, the emperor who attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor and they were on U.S. soil at the time and he bowed to him.
And here's Eisenhower 1959 bowing to Charles de Gaulle of France. Bowing to France? Has the GOP excommunicated Ike postmortem yet? And just for good measure, here's Mr. Bush holding hands and kissing crown prince Abdullah of Saudi Arabia?
Do you see what happens, Steve Doocy? Do you see what happens, Steve Doocy? Do you see what happens when you get your American history off a place mat at Bickford's?
Runner-up, Lonesome Rhodes Beck [Ding!] who apparently gets what he knows from listening to Steve Doocy read to him from what he's wearing on the placement at Bickford's. Doesn't like the Khalid Shaikh Mohammed trial one little bit. He's already dreamt up [Ding!] a conspiracy [Ding!] to fit it. 'This government is about overwhelming the system. This will overwhelm the system. So what's the best thing? Kick it up to a bigger criminal court? How about the Hague, the ultimate criminal court? Kick it upstairs. So now you have the precedence of, this system can't handle it. These things should be tried in the court of the world. I think that's what it is.'
Glenn, clearly there is no way to kick something upstairs from the U.S. judicial system into the international criminal court. But more importantly, the court only started on July 1st, 2002, and it can't prosecute crimes committed before then. Now, Glenn, remember your math. July 1st, 2002, is what that 9/11? Yes, it's later. July 1st, 2002 is later than 9/11. Glenn, if your conspiracy theory [Ding!] can be disproved by spending 90 seconds at research time on Wikipedia, it's a bad conspiracy theory [Ding!]."
You read right: Olbermoronn cites Wikipedia as a credible source for research.
And I didn't even include #1 with Olbermann's Brain, which was a continuation of Palin Attacks.
The Olbsession's take on the bow? In Reality Check: "Check 1: On the second day of his Asian tour, President Obama had lunch with the Japanese Emperor and his wife. The President bowed to the Emperor, which is customary, but some have labeled the bow 'how low can you go?' The limbo. There it is. Also, you don't *have* to bow; it's not mandatory. So, there's that. Now, Check doesn't really care as long as the Emperor picked up the lunch check, because we are always mindful of the deficit."
