The infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann continues to post at his blog-home, The Daily Kos (no conflict of interest there for the "nonpartisan" Olby!). His writings yesterday can only be described as laugh-out-loud funny:
I read with astonishment here and elsewhere that I am guilty of never presenting conflicting viewpoints. Do you know what the easiest form of "good tv" is? Put two guys on who disagree with each other and let them yell at each other.
How many times is Edward R Olbermann going to prop up this flimsy straw-man defense of his one-sided reportage? You don't have to put two guys on to yell. You can put two guys who won't scream at each other. Hell Keith, you could just put one guy on who doesn't parrot your talking points. No yelling, no screaming, just a point of view other than the prevailing dogma of OlbyPlanet. But for some reason you won't do that.
I am pleased to be able to say that I've never put something on Countdown to toe a party line.
Yikes!
I'd rather devote the time to personally rebutting something else that has been let loose into the ether without rebuttal...
Hey Keithy, letting stuff loose into the ether without rebuttal...that's exactly what you do on your Hour of Spin. Five nights a week, 52 weeks a year (minus Bathtub breaks). And the latest proof of that is the November guest list. We poured through the MSNBC online transcripts and tallied the data. Take a gander at the results:

Olbermann doesn't toe any party line, does he? None of that putting stuff out without rebuttal for him! Why can't he tell the truth? There's more rebuttal on Radio North Korea than on Countdown!
Discuss, resolve, and then recap Tuesday's and Wednesday's Hours of Spin. Comments are open!
Hat-tip to Cecelia, whose analysis of Olbermann's self-serving onanism on Kos I shamelessly incorporated in the above.
I wonder how many visits by these guys were tallied into it: Richard Wolffe, Howard Fineman, Michael Musto, Howard Dean, Markos Moulitsas, and Arianna Huffington? No, theres no party line toeing here!! Theres only 46 douchebags that will never disagree with Olbermann, nor will they EVER concede that a Republican/Conservative can do anything right. Im sure it was another stellar month of ratings for Keithy too. /sarc
I meant to say 46 visits of douchebags above.
I'll answer. Wolffe and Fineman were not counted at all. They at least make a pretense to being balanced, even though they are reliably liberal. So we erred on the side of caution and did not count them in the 'liberal' column. Dean was counted (as a strategist) and Huffington (as a progressive). Musto, Paul Tompkins, and other 'comedians' do not get counted, again in an abundance of caution to be as fair as possible to the least fair broadcast in the known 'verse.
Man, if you had counted those above along with the rest of the people that were on his show, those numbers would be fairly staggering.
Olby stated, "I read with astonishment here and elsewhere that I am guilty of never presenting conflicting viewpoints."
Astonishment? I'm not astonished at all. I've known for a very long time he is a COWARD and a HACK. Anyone with an I.Q. over 7 could debate this fraud and win convincingly. He's knows it and we know it. This was a pathetic excuse but something I've come to expect from a person who makes a living smearing people with juvenile insults but will not give that same person a chase to rebut his ridiculous claims.
Pathetic. But I'm sure the Kos Kids ate it up as gospel.
I see some of the Kossacks have the long knives out for little olby.
Is Anyone Else Sick Of Olbermann's New Trash Style?
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/12/8/811877/-Is-Anyone-Else-Sick-Of-Olbermanns-New-Trash-Style
Keefy does some crying in the comments section. Priceless.
What does he have left when his base turns on him?
Now the Dems are dropping the Public Option and putting in Medicare for all un-insured from the age of 55 on up. Haha. They're messing it up, and I'm glad.
The system just needs adjusting, they're totally trashing it. Then KOS talks crap with Keith...the Odd Couple. Haha.
I missed the first half of Countdown, cause I WATCHED Charlie Brown Christmas, instead of hearing Keithy The White Whale Olbermann talk.
Worst Persons in (Olbermann's) World Abstract
Remember: No video means Olby is full of shit.
Bronze: Brent Stevens (WSJ)for Climent change e-mail scandle. Olby asks us to prove a negative.
Silver: Fox and Friends: For a poll that asks people about climate change e-mail for faulty math, the poll (at least the one olby is pulling from his ass) totals to 120%. (not F+Fs fault)
Gold: Same guy for same reason as last night. Olby can't let it go. Neither can we, go fuck yourself, asshole. Jump off a cliff. Drink some drain-o. JUST GET THE HELL OFF OUR TV!
And bring back Megyn Kelly to American's Newsroom!
Another ... ah who gives a frigg. I'm going to play Final Fantasy 7.
And now he's calling out Tiger Woods, and going on about how he supported his SAG brothers while they were on strike and ppl like Lance Armstrong and Tiger shot commericals cause they were just athletes, Big whoop Keith,
I read the KOS comment and how he sounded all defeated, he SHOULD quit, that bloated piece of dirt.
Hey Keith! Looks like those Palin shots of you and your fellow loco libs aren't working to well.
My, my. Look who's pulled into one point of 'THE ONE'.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/12/sarah-palin-barack-obama-poll-gap-narrows.html
Keith can't ask coherent questions of the sycophantic guests he has on. Keith can't do anything close to a debate because he would flat out fail, he knows it, we all know it.
ENOUGH! RESIGN!

This is the 61st day since the current President was awarded the Nobel Peace prize.
Dcmeyer,
Thanks for the link. I sometimes wade through that cesspool to see what the kids are up to but I can only handle it for about 2 minutes.
I love the fact that Cankles feels he has to respond to the Kos Kids because someone posted a diary about him. Some of the comments were priceless so I decided to throw in a few for myself. I like how Olby's first sentence in his first response says, "I should quit right now". I responded, "Please do".
I was also amused by the comments about his truthfulness, integrity and ratings.
Classic.
DCmeyer,
i read thru about 150 of those comments at the Kos(cant believe i still have food in my stomach). Some of those people are fairly insulting. The fact that so much of the left wing is turning against him gives me a warm feeling, just not a tingly feeling up my leg. Its pretty much just a war between themselves. They claim to be "big tent" and also claim that we "wingnuts" are narrowing ourselves down to the basest level of our party but I dont see this type of infighting with Conservatives.
I read the whiny post that he wrote as well. Talk about a f*cking crybaby!! This guy's ego really is larger than him, which is saying alot. BTW, not alot of people like Musto over there either. Doesnt suprise me a bit. I feel like I just spied in enemy camp.
I find it funny that so many of those so-called "Kossacks" keep using the word "compassion" over and over again, and then proceed to just use so much condescending and hateful speech to try to shame, insult, and bully people into taking their sides.
How can they feel like that's the proper approach to anything?
It's hilarious that KO can't handle criticism from a fellow viewer. And the fact he was crying like a little baby was just priceless. The icing on the cake was how people replied to him in a calm an informative manner. No doubt Bathtub Boy lost a few more viewers after that.
This makes wanting to see him have a debate with someone on the other side all the more tempting. He can't handle his own viewers, what would happen if he had a Republican on.
Oh it would be glorious.
A double dose of GIBBY! John was on O'Reilly talking about his book and I just turn it to Bathtub Boy to find out he got "World's best person".
For what alleged crime did Gibby commit to earn his award? I really don't want to wait for either the replay or tomorrow at midnight to hear it from John himself (that's when his show airs in Louisville).
I just switched over for 2 seconds and Cankles was talking about....BUSH AND TORTURE!!! WTF??? Olby must be hurting for material to rehash that subject. Unemplyment...nope, ClimateGate...nope. Obama has the lowest approval rating at this point of his presidency...nope. Cap and Trade...nope. Deficit...nope. Bush and Torture...YES, ding ding ding.
WPitW abstract
Bronze: Lauren Petterson from Fox and Friends for mistaken poll attack in WP last night. Remember no mistakes in Olby world.
Silver: Beck for GOLDGATE! (yawn) Funny, Olby is trying to get gold for this shit? And Olby throws in a ratings attack (beck lost 30%)
GOLD!: David Wright-abc news. for making Jon Stewart a climate denier. (Olby holds up journalistic intgerty and fails) Stewart is firmly in the camp of false science.
Another award winning countdown to no ratings.
AND WHEN DOES THIS A$$CLOWN GO ON CHRISTMAS (or is it holiday) VACATION!
First, how does the irony meter at 30 Rock doesn't break when fat ass attacks someone else on ratings? Beck might have lost 30%, but still beats Olby 3 to 1.
Second, will they just close the doors on MSNBC during the two week christmas (or is it holiday) break? And will they get bigger ratings for the "Caught on Video", "To Catch a Predator" or the "Lock Up" documentaries they'll throw up?
Chance are they probably will get good ratings during the break.
It's tradition that most channels show they're worse shows in marathon form at that time, and Catch a Predator and Caught on Video are easy shows to get hooked on when channel surfing.
I myself haven't been watching anything news related, but I've been catching NBC Nightly News during supper time and I guess they're running that whole Climate Change thing this week.
Show clips of glaciers melting, have Williams put on a sad face. All this when a record breaking Blizzard and low temperatures are ripping through country.
When will NBC and Al Gore realize winter is the worse time to bring up Global Warm- whoops I mean Climate Change.
Anybody notice that my man Rachel whipped KO's pansy ass in viewership last night with her/his knock down-drag out argument w/Richard Cohen. She's obsessed w/this Uganda anti-gay thing.
And did anyone catch that over the top opening by the bloated one? Sounded like a half special comment part, crap we lost and it was OUR own party's fault. I freaken loved it!
They bragged and they gloated it was gonna happened and they got bent over and fed the hot coats. Good for you!
Best person's Gibby attack explained? (who can really explain what goes on in Bathtub boy's head)
About the title of his book. Missunderstood the title. Swiftboating was a term for the lefites who attacked those who it disagreed with. Not what people did to Kerry.
What a immature asshole! RESIGN KEITH!
Seemed like the whole Countdown tonight was a mourning for America, not to mentioned the billionith plug for that pathetic "Catch-22" Just shut up with that book and movie Keith, no one cares about an outdated movie and you for that matter.
Palin kicked Gore's butt, he's caught red-handed just like the Dems in health care and they can't figure out how to back out of it.
WPITW:
Keith ties in two interesting points. First, he says "no one at Cluster Fox will be reprimanded" because they put up a poll that didn't add up to 100%. But as stated on the show, the poll was not supposed to add up to 100% but to just show 3 pieces of information about Global Warming. But that's not good enough for Olby. He goes on to say that Fox has no journalistic integrity. Second, Olby discusses David Wright of ABC World News Tonight using the terms "selective editing" and "dishonesty" when talking about John Stewart being a climate change denier.
But, yet again in the same segment, Olby states, ..."you are falsifying the news to fit a personal political agenda...at ABC when they do that they are suppose to fire somebody".
So he wants someone at Fox News reprimanded and someone at ABC News fired for "falsifying the news to fit a personal political agenda"???
That's interesting. Do me a favor, Keith. Take a look at this (from Newsbusters) and let me know which person(s) from MSNBC were reprimanded or fired for "falsifying the news".
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/kyle-drennen/2009/08/18/msnbc-no-mention-black-gun-owner-among-racist-protesters
Remember that, Keith. Where your network EDITED THE VIDEO so it would not show that the man carrying the guns at the protest was BLACK.
Let me know when MSNBC plans to reprimand or fire Contessa Brewer, Dylan Ratigan and Toure...you f*cking hypocrite.
Here's a little gem I found on newsbusters about Ed Shultz
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jack-coleman/2009/12/05/post-party-crashers-ed-schultz-wants-secret-service-pledge-allegiance-
So Ed thinks it's good to make the SS a political arm of law enforcement? What a loon.
So instead of reading a critique of himself, and readjusting his program accordingly, he writes a diary on an extremely liberal website, simply stating that the criticisms are not valid?
He, just as his viewers, know that anyone who states that he does not present an opposing viewpoint is clearly presenting factual information. The only person I can think of, although I rarely watch his show, who was a republican, was George W. Bush's former chief of staff, who was pushing a book onto the liberal community that was written specifically for them accusing Bush of several miscues.
Let's take a look at your competition (we are all smart enough to know you follow this site regularly), Bill O'reilly. He accuses Barnie Frank of being at fault for major portions of the financial collapse, and so he invites Sen. Frank, Frank agrees, and a debate of opposing opinions ensues. O'reilly interviewed Obama, then he interviewed Palin. When there is a fierce debate over global warming, or the President's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, O'reilly brings on multiple guests of differing viewpoints for analysis and debate. Has your show ever ventured beyond a single screen interview? Has your show ever interviewed anyone you have been critical of? Have you ever invited Palin to your show? Bush? Cheney? A republican strategist to disagree with Richard Wolfe? Perhaps the GOP Chairman. Lou Dobbs?
Yet, you think your followers at the DailyKos, the so-called "intellects" of our society, are dumb enough to believe you if you just simply say it's not true? All the conservatives who you consistently accuse of lacking intelligence or decency post daily, factual information about your show, and one of them catches up to you, so you take "smart" response, by just calling us names? Saying that we are lying?
Until you have an actual debate with Steele or a conservative senator on your show, rather that sitting in the safety of your NY studio, making childish and sexually explicit references, your ratings will always be the same, and always, ALWAYS less than any show on Fox. If you were smart, as you want us all to think you are, you would know that and you would have been acting this way for years. But you're not smart, you're a hack and a liberal who is too scared to debate anyone because you lack the intelligence. Surely, after so many accusations of stupidity on Sarah Palin, you could out wit her in an interview right? If she's that dumb, and ditzy, surely you could make a mockery of her on your show, right?
Then why don't you?
Our story has made NewsBusters: Olbermann Defends Never Having Opposing Viewpoints on 'Countdown'.
Also from NB:
Olbermann Rips Palin [in Wednesday's #1]: From Birther to Climate Change Denier.
Joan Walsh: Olbermann Needs More Diverse Guests, Michelle Malkin Need Not Apply.
Mike C...you beat me to it. I was getting ready to post that link from Newsbusters.
Which one?
Yet another NB link: Sarah Palin Says Critics Of Her WaPo Op-ed 'Got All Wee-Weed Up'. She said that on "The Laura Ingraham Show."
LAURA INGRAHAM, HOST: Would you agree to a debate with Al Gore on this issue?
SARAH PALIN: Oh my goodness. You know, it depends on what the venue would be, what the forum, because Laura, as you know, if it would be some kind of conventional, traditional debate, with his friends setting it up or being the commentators, I'll get clobbered, because they don't want to listen to the facts. They don't want to listen to some reasonable voices in this. And that was proven with the publication of this op-ed where they kind of got all wee-weed up about it and wanted to call me and others deniers of changing weather, weather patterns, and climate conditions, trying to, you know, make the issue into something that it is not.
INGRAHAM: Well, what if it's an Oxford style proper debate format? I mean, he's going to chicken out. I mean, if you challenge him to a debate, do you actually think he would accept it?
PALIN: I don't know. I don't know. Oh, he wouldn't want to lower himself I think to, you know, my level to debate little old Sarah Palin from Wasilla.
Something tells me that there will either be a Laura attack or a Beck attack (some joke he made with John Stossle - who I'll bet his show will also clobber fatass in the ratings tonight! I'M CALLING IT NOW!) on the deplorable one's broadcast (and boy is he BROAD) tonight!
I linked to the NB analysis of last night's #1: Herr Olbermahn and Chris Hayes from the far-left Nation beating up on Sarah Palin, the far right [Ding!], and anyone that dares question the Climate Change crew. 40 minutes earlier on the Olbsession's show, the eeevil O'Reilly and liberal talk radio host Leslie Marshall had a lively discussion on the matter. It's 5 minutes and 53 seconds better spent.
