The Olbermann Watch Research Division poured through the MSNBC online transcripts yet again to see how much attention was paid to various stories and issues over the past week. Here is what our keyword searches found:

As the chart makes clear, Edward R Olbermann is a serious newsman, who doesn't fritter away his precious broadcast minutes on sleazy tabloid stories. Except when he does. And it appears that Herr Olbermahn is starting to develop a bunker mentality. Here he is at his blog-home Daily Kos, reacting to someone who posted comments critical of Obama. Commandant Olbermahn suggests he's an "infiltrator", and goes along with the idea that his comments should be made "hidden" (so that they are invisible and cannot be read). Does that sound familiar? Hey, just like on OlbyPlanet, where opposing views are made to disappear! That's Edward R Olbermann, proud defender of the 1st Amendment. Get ready to recap tonight's Hour of Spin...comments are open!
Hey, at least he is back to talking about sports.
WPITW Abstract!
Bronze- Some healthcare idiot, and Keith touts Obama Care and used "GODDAMN" in his speech.
Silver-Senator Inhofe, but this time F&F is right (I guess when he needs to make that up too) about the 'stolen' climete gate e-mails.
Funny, Keith didn't mind E-mails when they were 'stolen' from Sarah Palin, he liked that.
Gold- Some Teabagger = who cares. Somehitng about some senator moving his office and Keith makes a slame that 'teabaggers' threaten this senator. WHEN DID THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN, KEITH? AND WHY HASN'T THE FBI ARRESTED PEOPLE OVER THIS?
Why? Cause it never happen.
I missed watching Monday Night RAW for this shit? GO ON VACATION KEITH!
And a 20 minute SPECIAL ED COMMENT?
Dear god, calgon take me away!
A Special Ed Komment on what?
Caught Goebbels-Olbermann whining about Law & Order/O`Reilly matter and The Minister of Propaganda actually said Bill is to afraid to leave the studio so he sends his producers. How funny is that? Especially when we recall how the Minister was too afraid to go to cover the Republican National Convention so he stayed in the MSNBC studios.
With ratings down seventy percent
Krazy Keith is irrelevant
His opinion is moot
No one gives a hoot
FoxNews is where his viewers went
It wasn't a Special Komment in #1, but it was a fevered mockfest and attackfest on FNC, O'Reilly, Beck, Limbaugh, Tea Party people, "Fox & Friends," Lou Dobbs, Neal Boortz, John Fund, Brent Bozell and a host of other people that lean right, no matter how many degrees they lean right. Cutting through all the vitriol and rhetoric, Olbermoronn tried to make the case, in the latter half of #1, that right-leaning talk show hosts, commentators, bloggers, and columnists are in the media. Therefore, conservatives have voices in the media. One problem: these people cannot be found at MSM outlets.
Any criticism Olbermann levels at others usually has more to do with himself than the other party. And the Kos thing is hilarious. Olbermann is obviously worried about conservatives invading his "safe zone" at the Daily Kos and the one he's created for himself at MSNBC.
Olberdouchenozzle is afraid to leave Manhattan Island. Can you imagine Kowardly Keith doing a book tour ala Sarah Palin? Does anyone think Olberwomann has the stones to make a public appearance in Sioux City, Iowa?
The blue blog source for the first half of #1 was Crooks & Liars. The link showed up in the OlbyFlood on Friday and I wrote about it in the previous thread:
"There's a link in the OlbyFlood from Crooks & Liars. It's an O'Reilly Attack that would make Keith proud: he's a xenophobe, Dick Wolf was right. '... [F]irst on his list of priorities was to rant [Ding!] and rave [Ding!] about a fictional TV show that dared to have a character who openly called out O'Reilly and his conservative [Ding!] colleagues for the hatemongering [Ding!] nativists [Ding!] they really are. ...' Why don't you just say 'Law & Order: SVU' pwned and truth-squaded [Ding!] Billo [Ding!]? What was one of Rip 'n Read's blue blog sources talking about? [Answer:] Last night's Talking Points Memo, which was followed by the Top Story segment with Laura Ingraham (who is filling in for Bill tonight)."
Since the C&L diatribe was posted Friday, I figured we would be spared any attacks related to it from Oralmann this week. Wrong. Keith must have spent all weekend crafting #1.
The Tiller montage was from Media Matters and hasn't been played on the Hour of Spin since June 1. But it made a comeback tonight. Bullymann has to pull out all the stops when he goes after people he hates, especially if they're his competition.

I'm sorry, I thought if the #1 segment had no guest, it's a "special ed comment" by default.
And looking at what I wrote about the Crooks link, I think Rip 'n Read took the same point of view. Quoting myself summing up Crooks: "'he's a xenophobe, Dick Wolf was right.'"
I tuned in for a second tonight and was surprised to see guest Prof. TurDley. I hadn't seen him in a long time.
And it got me to thinking how KOKO and TurDley were gleefully salivating from last Dec thru March about the prospect of the Bush administration being prosecuted.
What asses.
How's that prosecuting going KOKO?
Hey Keith, how the heck do O'Reilly, Beck, and Goldberg stay out of jail with all that murderous activity they commit? Goddam!
O'Reilly reported last night that former "L&O" actor Michael Moriarty has stuck up for him: "Last week, I criticized this scene from an episode of 'Law & Order[: Special Victims Unit]' about a man killing the children of immigrants. ... Well, now, actor Michael Moriarty, who helped make the 'Law & Order' franchise a monster hit, is sticking up for me. [The] actor says I was right to take umbrage with 'Law & Order' czar Dick Wolf because the program, to quote Moriarty, 'is tumbling downhill into the ever-deepening waters of America-bashing. Now, I appreciate Michael watching my back." And so do I.
Meanwhile, NewsBusters' Jeff Poor has written about last night's #1 segment: Olbermann’s Conniption: 'There is No Liberal Media'; Insists Corporate Ownership Absolves Media of 'Liberal' Designation.
What algorithm is Olbermoronn following to arrive at his asinine statement that "there is no liberal media". Keith's konclusion is as kredible as his Ag school kommunications degree from Kornell. Olberidiot should try to get a refund from Kornell and upgrade at the nearest Community College. Take some actual journalism classes and a course in logic.
MSNBC needs to flush four times. Olberturd, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Ed Schultz (no liberal media?) are already circling the no-ratings drain.
More from Jeff Poor: Weak: Keith Olbermann [in last night's WPitW], Jon Stewart Attack Inhofe's Climate Skepticism.
If you can stomach it, here is the transcript for last night's show. Scroll down to get to #1. It's just as bad reading #1 as it would have been watching it. Redundancy and old disproven lies were on display.
I caught three segments of Countdown last night, and I swear to god they didn't make any sense.
Olby and Turley talking about the recovered e-mails, and making fun of Bush technicians for not being able to recover them when Obama techs can. Umm. OK. And what are these e-mails supposed to prove, exactly? Has Keith ever heard of the something called "chain of custody"? It refers to the validity (or invalidity) of evidence used in trials based on who supposedly handled it. If there are gaps in the chain, or the handlers were unreliable (or biased), the case can be made that the evidence is tainted.
here we have a liberal White House supposedly recovering millions of incriminating e-mails from a Republican administration. Not that I think the e-mails will prove anything one way or another, but seriously, at this point, how do we know master Rahm and his boys aren't just making stuff up to slam Bush?
WPITW? So, a protester makes a valid point that representatives should be accessible so their constituents can properly redress their complaints. And that the congressman in question was not making himself available through having a hard-to-find office? Not that I'm familiar with the case, but it seems kind of a stretch for KO to then claim the protesters want the congressman to move closer to them so they can protest him easier.
But the #1 segment commentary is perhaps the most bizarre thing I've ever seen on Countdown. It made no sense. I just stood in astonishment as KO kept blathering on without end. My god. First he makes a bunch of claims about Beck and O'Reilly instigating violence, and then shows a few timid clips that he thinks support him but they really don't. Then he recycles his usual pablum about Tiller, and the Bernard Goldberg book, etc. And then to claim the media leans to the right because it's mostly corporate owned is simply proof that KO has lost his last connection to our reality. "Corporations are by definition conservative because they favor the status quo" (tell that to GE). Wow. Then he pretty much lists every conservative member of the media, as if to prove his point. Of course, he misses the point that yes, those are the conservatives in the media. VERSUS EVERYONE ELSE.
There are two explanations for Olby's bizarre conclusions here.
1) He is so far-left that 90% of the media might actually seem to be conservative from his perspective.
2) By claiming the media is right-leaning, Olby can thus set himself up as the counterbalance, and thus eliminate in his mind any need to present right-leaning guests. Thus, like he says, he can offer rebuttal to what he sees is the unchallenged dogma put out by the regular news.
Oh boy. The man is deranged, isn't he? Does he have any clue to a reasonable observer his rants come off as unprofessional and hedge on propaganda for the DNC?
By the way, #2 is basically the argument Rush Limbaugh used 20 years ago in response to claims he was too conservative for the radio ... that he was the balance for the liberal media.
The fact he continues to have his own show, and that anyone is willing to pay him, let alone simply listen to him speak, is a sign of the gross injustice that exists in this universe.
