The infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann has completed another year of Countdown, one that has solidified the show as the most biased program this side of Radio North Korea. An analysis of the MSNBC transcripts for the month of December reveals once again just how Edward R Olbermann prevents any dissenting views from entering his echo chamber on OlbyPlanet:

It is safe to say that no other news program in the free world is as severely and consistently cleansed of dissenting views like Krazy Keith and his Hour of Spin. Congrats, Bathtub Boy, on preventing your audience from hearing even one voice that disagrees with yours. But then again, what choice do you have? How else could you possibly win an argument other than by not letting the other side speak?
Discuss, resolve, and then recap The Hour of Spin. Comments are open!
So who wants to bet that Olby is going to lambaste Rush for his hospital stay.
We have a new segment!
Edward R. Olbermann will now be providing TWO (!) "Quick Comments" with every single broadcast.
What's the first one about? Could it be about such current people like Obama, the Nigerian bomber, Napolitano, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi?
With so much going on in the news the last week, it obviously makes sense that he would pick.... Dick Cheney, the man who has held no official position in government for almost 12 months now.
Also, maybe my cable feed is really horrible, but it almost seems like he got cut off right after he called Cheney "a traitor" during the new "quick comment". No typical Countdown commercial break graphic could be seen.
Another note, it looks like NBC's "terrorism expert" Evan Kohlman just completely bitch smacked Olbermann when talking about the Christmas day attack. Keith thought he would be clever by asking the question (I am paraphrasing it)
"Why did the guy leave the bathroom when there was almost no chance that he would have been caught there? Doesn't this just reek of a guy with psychological problems that he almost wanted to get caught by attempting it in his seat?"
Kohlman's answer (in my quick summary) "If you had done any research about this, you would have known that the guy and his terrorist buddies deliberately picked that seat because it was directly above the main fuel supply of the plane"
After that, Olbermann kept his mouth shut for a good 2-3 minutes.
First Worst Persons of the last year of this decade:
CAN YOU SMELL THE INDIFFERENCE?
Bronze:Scott Rasmussin for daring to poll Obama low. Said that he was a paid consultant for Bush.
Silver:Grechen Carlson- for the sin of attacking ACORN. Revisionist history by Olby too sickening to account. Needless to say, he gets it totally wrong.
Gold: Brent Bozell- For giving award to Ed Shultz. For Ed saying that he wants republicans dead. Olby accuses Rush of wanting dems to die, but totally forgets his favorite congressman Alan Grayson saying if you get sick, republicans want you to die. REMEMBER THAT KEITH?
ANOTHER AWARD WINNING COUNTDOWN!
Any chance you guys can keep a running tally of how many days Olbermann misses this year?
So called "underware" bomber?
I love when KO tries to play arm chair phycolgist..WHO THE FUCK cares when he spent time in the bathroom for 20 minutes...he in the end ignited the bomb..Im more worried about how he got ont he god dam airplane!

and I bet in KO's mind he is thinking the terroist was doing one last ..spanking the monkey before he goes to see the 75 virgins
Nomorekeith, it's 72 virgins, but they all look like Rachel Maddow!
"Countdown" was on my TV tonight as I was getting some work done on my computer. During his "Quick Comment" he called Dick Cheney a traitor, and all I could do was yawn and continue working. In his futile quest for ratings, he continues to try to shock or "push the envelope" to get someone...anyone to notice him. In doing so, these types of outlandish statements have become ordinary in the circus he calls "Countdown." He and Richard Wolffe and the whole cast of clowns walk hand in hand after the show with their big red shoes. The show has a few seconds of accuracy every night - when his orange face is on the screen with the word "Oddball" right next to it.
Suggestion for Olbermann: Change the name of your 2 "Quick Comment" segments to your old segment name: WTF segment. After all, "WTF" is what your viewers who have common sense are saying during these "Quick Comments." In fact, that's what they're saying throughout the entire show.
hey anyone else notice fat ed dosent have his 30 rock studio anymore? FYI on a side not today, I was Matthews and he had on Howard NOsoFIneman, and he said that Fineman was the most impartial journalist that he has ever know, really Chrissy!

Reading the NB transcript in the link I provided, I picked up another Great Moment in Broadcast Journalism:
"Here now, Senator Joseph R. McCarthy, junior senator from Wisconsin. ..."
"[DAN SAVAGE:] ... And we've got to stop, we’ve got to de-escalate this rhetoric and the rhetorical war pitting one religion against another religion, particularly as inoffensive a religion as Buddhism.
OLBERMANN, LAUGHING: We haven't heard any threats from radical Buddhists lately in this country.
SAVAGE: There are no Buddhists with bombs in their underpants on airplanes, I don't think.
OLBERMANN: I'm going to avoid a bomb in the underwear joke about Tiger Woods for God's sakes, but is it not in the interests of people of faith to avoid this kind of public proselytizing? ..."
(CBS News theme, Olbermann Watch logo)
Or maybe it wasn't a GMBJ. Whatever.
So wait, was I needlessly pessimistic? Coming out of the gate with nothing new, being beat down by his own hack guest, a new segment or rather a retread of a "special" comment HE SAID HE'D NEVER OVER DO!?!?!? Could it all be just me???
Ya'll must remember that, when in so many words he told his EP's or whoever that this is something that has to be thoughtful, spur of the moment, passionate. That he wouldn't want to exploit his anger, his passion, his witty scathing intelligent attacks on those that would do this great country wrong!?!?!
And now? Now he's going to do not one, but TWO, every night? Mini comments? Now I don't post often, but when I do it's through anger and resignation that in the end, this fool isn't going anywhere. His ratings are the highest on the network, he helped bring them from bottom dweller status to struggling for second, and whether we like it or not, he now has a built in audience of basement-ed tinhats that won't miss an order.
Those facts and more just gave me the all around feeling that he's there to stay for as long as he wants. But now? With Comcast taking over, albeit replacing one lib company takeover with another lib company take over, could ol Phil and Olbs be a bit worried? They surely won't cancel Obumbles biggest cheerleader, but maybe they'll expect a ratings "surge" of sorts in the next few months, year, ???
And if no such surge occurs, will there possibly be any consequences for a man who works about half a year and gets paid MILLIONS? Guess for where we'll be this time next year?
Well when last I looked, the two (kids) who Keith said got "owned" by the ACORN actually did the "owning" on them. He really knows how to twist things around doesn't he?
And what was with this dual mini-comments tonight? Pathetic.
Olby is far from intelligent
His intentions are malevolent
He has issues with truth
Friends fit in a phone booth
(He's completely irrelevant)
