Tonight it will not be just one hour of spin...but two! The infamous, deplorable one joins forces with Democrat Chris Matthews and Err America alum Rachel Maddow for a 120-minute thrill-packed spectacular--in Obamavision! The President's Q&A will be rebroadcast by the Gang of Three, with special interruptions for their special comments. And as a bonus, no analysis by anyone who isn't in the midst of a slobbering love affair. That way no matter what questions the GOPers raise, or how the Prez handles them, the Gang of Three will be able to protect their guy and invariably get the last word.
Edward R Olbermann trumpeted tonight's desperate ratings ploy on his blog of choice, The Daily Kos (hat-tip to Inside Cable News):
We will be running, as they say, "large chunks" and then cutting back to the studio to see which one of our jaws can drop the closest to the floor.
No doubt this is a reaction to Herr Olbermann once again being trounced in the critical, all-important, vital, supreme "money demo" by the eeevil Mr Bill, who only beat him last night by 500%. Olby even lost to Nancy Grace on Headline News. So it was obviously time to try something different, and toss Rachel and Chris "I forgot he was black" Matthews into the mix as well.
But isn't this an abdication of MSNBC's news responsibility? Aren't they completely ignoring the Biggest News of the Day?!? How can Krazy Keith not devote the first 1/3 of his program to "Watergate Jr"? How will his phone booth full of viewers survive without another twenty minutes about the nonexistent "wiretapping" conspiracy that has dominated The Hour of Spin night after night?
Use this space to recap tonight's Pulitzer-worthy journalistic triumph. Or maybe you have something better to do, like watch The Factor or the finale of Dollhouse--either of which will provide you with far more redeeming social value. Whatever. Comments are open!
I really hope some smart conservative ad maker is goign to take this "lecture" by Obama and turn it into some great anti obama adds. Again another day wasted "talking" and more "lecutres" from his Pres and another day go buys where more people lose their jobs...that needs to be the tag line for the Repubicans this summer and fall..
Well, I made it through about 28 sec. of this fiasco. Ray Maddow had a smirk, Olby did a grunt & Matthews went into "this is one of the best blah, blah, blah."
If I had been forced to watch this for the whole two hours, I would have opted to be waterboarded.
No doubt the message came down from Axelrod to promote big time Obama going over to this meeting. Since Obama got a wee bump from Wed night. (what President has not?)
UN-FUCKING-WATCHABLE!
Has (MS)NBC completely lost their collective mind? First, it was Rachel Maddow and her cheesy game show skit. Now, The Gang of Three host a moonbat version of American Idol with Obama starring as the pre-determined winner. Instead of a slobbering, drugged-out Paula Abdul, we get a slobbering, donkey-drunk Ray Maddow. Randy Jackson portrayed by Chris "I forgot he was black" Matthews. And host Simon Cowell played by Keith "I'm screwing my buddy's daughter" Olbermann.
A two hour strokefest. The cringe meter was pegging. A total embarrassment to journalism. Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes Scholar?? Like watching three adolescents with ADD. Maybe some ritalin is in order. More meds for Keith!
The flip flops concerning the KSM trial in NYC have been astounding....and no more is it a hypocrisy-fest than on COUNTDOWN:
Olbermann, 11/16/09......
"Since when is America in the business of relying on its justice system as a last resort? And, by the way, when is America in the business of granting the wishes of terrorists, well, when they wish for a lawyer phone call jury of their peers or to face their accusers, when they wish for a last meal perhaps?
Mr. Giuliani, a former prosecutor, in New York, should know better. It's no shame to be afraid but what they really want, Mr. Giuliani, is not a New York City trial. We call them terrorists because what they really want is to frighten us into changing how we do things, who we are. And that is precisely what Mr. Giuliani, who once suggested he should stay mayor even after his term expired proposes to give them. It's a principle Mr. Giuliani used to understand, declaring after 9/11, quote, 'a renewed devotion to the rule of law.'"

So, now that Mayor Bloomberg, Chief Kelly, Senator Schumer, and many many more politicians from the left have changed their minds about the show trial in NYC, is it all because of the terror aspect of it all?....Are those people changing because of fear? Are the terrorist winning now that it seems the trials will not be held in NYC?
Hypocrisy.
Maybe FNC is more trusted because while Olbermann, Maddow & Matthews were playing ‘Naked Fantasy Twister’ with Obama for two hours Friday Night. O’Reilly had liberal radio talk show host Leslie Marshall and the Washington Post’s Sally Quinn.
Besides, isn’t Leslie Marshall and Sally Quinn becoming weekly regulars on The Factor. Ah, does anybody remember the last time Olbermann had anybody on his show with an opposing point of view?
And how about that ‘Fair, Balanced & Stable’ Ed Schultz? I can’t see any reason why I shouldn’t trust a guy who is a few fries short of a happy meal.

David Schuster? No one better prepaired then that guy. NOT!
Why Olbermann’s books never made it into the NYT best seller list is beyond me. Didn’t Beck have four or five best sellers last year?
While I’m at it: Hardball: How Politics Is Played – Told By One Who Knows The Game-Chris Matthews Pub. Date: November 1999
240pp
Barnes and Noble Sales Rank: 15,594
I would have used the one he wrote last year, but it seems the eleven year old paperback is selling much better.
Rachel Maddow: A Neowonk Guide to the Leftist, Lesbian Pundit
by Xander Cricket
Pub. Date: March 2009
76pp
Barnes and Noble Sales Rank: 187,085
WOW! Even at $4.50 I guess 76 pages is still a tough read for some.
From our friends at NewsBusters:
Matthews on Obama's GOP Event: 'I Don't Know Anyone Else That Could Have Done What The President Did'.
Olbermann: Obama One of the 1000 Smartest People in America.
I am so sick of the left equating supposed and unprovable intelligence with the ability to govern properly. Some of the most charismatic and inspirational political leaders have risen from humble educational beginnings, such as graduating from a *gasp* state school. I find that the people who went out and started working in the real world instead of camping out at an Ivy League for 8 years are much more trustworthy. But what do I know, Keith considers people like myself knuckle-draggers and troglodytes. Keep up the good work BathTub Boy, eventually you will completely destroy your ratings after you insult every segment of America.

It is with the greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, and that the Company will file soon under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of the business.
