Listen and enjoy as Gibby explains to his clueless caller the empty idiocy of Keith Olbermann, and how he came to be known as 'Bathtub Boy'. Then recap the week's last Hour of Spin. Comments are open!

So... ESPN hates Keith Olbermann. Apparently, little girls do too.
“I got beat up by girls all the time,” says Olbermann. “They literally posted a sign-up sheet and would take turns."
No wonder Olbermisogynist sees a psychiatrist on a regular basis.

OMG KO is o for 2 tonight whith his guests! Both guests are throwing cold water on this stupid letter HCR Public option crap. Even Larrt the Loon says no way the Public Option will pass...LOL
KO is trying hard but they keep shoting him DOWN! ROFL!
#2: The Media Matters Minute. For Worse, Rush Limbaugh made fun of the Olbsession on his radio show. Monkeymann's reaction, with a laugh: "I'm utterly conflicted." Then, he quoted Monty Burns from "The Simpsons" episode 4F17, The Old Man and the Lisa. "Ketchup, catsup. Ketchup, catsup." They love you, too, Keith. (I could go on to quote much of the rest of the episode, but I won't.)
Worser is irrelevent to me. Skiparoo.
Worst were Jed Babbin and Scott Brown. Blue blog sources: Talking Points Memo and Talking Points Memo. Slight outrage and massive snark. At the close, Brown was referred to as "Scott 'We're Gonna Have A Lot Of Fun With You, Aren't We?' Brown." "We," of course, is Olby and the far-left.
Once again, I was wrong in my prediction for tonight. There was no canonization of the actress who played the Down Syndrome girl on "Family Guy." Seth MacFarlane didn't show up, either.
Until 2006, I was a huge "Simpsons" fan and watched all the time. The same can be said for Seth MacFarlane's shows, but ideological cheap shots became the norm, and sub-par plots or endings to episodes, and I quit watching for a while. I will occasionally DVR "The Simpsons," but I DVR "The Cleveland Show," "Family Guy," and "American Dad" every week. And when I'm done watching, I erase the recording.
It's good you haven't been wasting much time with new Simpsons Episodes. I don't think I watched a single new episode since about 2000. And you are right about the ideology. The Sideshow Bob episode from season 6 where he ran for mayor showed that you can successfully parody conservatives without cheap shots. That's a classic episode, the parody on Rush was hilarious, and although they were obviously mocking Republicans, it was non-stop laughs. They even allowed conservatives like Kelsey Grammer to get in on the joke. Some of the best lines from the series occur right after Sideshow Bob gets arrested at the end of each episode. One of my personal favorites...
"I'll be back. You can't keep the Democrats out of the White House forever. And when they get in, I'm back on the streets, with all my criminal buddies!"
Now if the show wants to attack conservatives, they just have a character say "THE BIBLE IS A BOOK OF LIES!" and throw in some stereotypical redneck along with an abortion joke. Add in some pointless cameo by John Stewart or other liberal whine box, and it's a half hour of horrors. It's just so tiresome, and the shows' ratings have been slowly tanking. When are the major networks going to realize so many of their shows tank because the immediately alienate over half of America every single episode? I still can't believe the Simpsons ever allowed Edward R. Olbermann to do a voice. Ugh, just cancel it already.
Silver in WPITW isn't irrelevant to me. Since it happened 1 mile from my home! What's worse, his plumbing company works on my building. I don't know if I should be happy or upset.
I apologize. I guess I shouldn't just focus on when he targets Republicans, conservatives, News Corp entities and their personalities, or any media that criticize him.
That Bathtub Boy story never gets old.
That's alright Mike. It just happened to happen in my hood.
One little thing, MSNBC used footage from a non NBC station. WHAS11 is a ABC affiliate. WAVE3 is the NBC affiliate.
Keith offends Kos Kids and apologizes, sort of.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/19/838804/-Lack-of-Respect
Angered by something Ann Coulter said, Keith said these words:
"If this man wants to live his life as a woman, who am I to object?"
This drew criticism from some of the Kids. They did not like his comments and said that Keith insulted the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community.
1) Mr. Olbermann has been something of a cad recently. Without President Bush to call out he goes more and more to the jerk side.
2) Olbermann and his ilk are entertainers who play to the lowest common denominator. And notice that he made the context of defending HIMSELF from Coulter's insults directed at HIM. He throws folks like yourself under the bus for no better purpose than to satisfy his own ego.
I don't think Keith is a horrible person, mind you, but he does not speak for me politically-- never has. I prefer more fair, thoughful, reasoned voices.
You are correct to point this out, Robyn, and I'm sorry that you have to put up with this kind of stuff so much. Don't let em get you down!
3) When is daily kos finally going to purge assholes like Olbermann from this website?
Ban the witch!!!!!!!! Unless that might cost the place some revenue or something.
4) We all can let Olbermann know what we think. The e-mail is countdown@msnbc.com
Really, there is no reason for any of us to let Olbermann slide on this one.
5) I like Keith a lot but when he said that I said to my teevee "you just fucked up buddy." I'm surprised it isn't bigger news, frankly.
6) My respect for Keith Olbermann is gone. He didn't need to perpetuate this ugliness.
7) Yeah.. not cool. Until I he apologizes for this comment I'm finished watching his show.

Of course Keith could not stand this reaction from his beloved base so he had to post a comment:
I Will gladly apologize for the pain I've caused you with this remark.
I think it is necessary, however, to see it in context, and who it was directed against in the context of reality. Ann Coulter traffics in almost nothing but sexual identity slurs - against everybody. Without them Coulter's columns would all be less than 40 words. Coulter's personality is predicated on some kind of gender intolerance towards EVERYBODY. In the column to which I was responding, these assaults were directed at me, at Rachel Maddow, and at Richard Wolffe - just as they have been in the past directed at John Edwards and a host of others. They are thus gender intolerance directly not only at the LGBT community, but an even larger one: the human community.
Coulter is not someone who will be convinced, altered, nor awakened by entreaty nor enlightenment. Nor is Coulter someone who will be silenced by anything up to and including hate crime laws. There is only one way to impact and diminish someone like Ann Coulter, and that is on their own terms.
And you may think what I said was a punch-line to a joke. In fact, it was what I said because while I did not want to insult the LGBT community (I damn well DO support anyone's right to live as a woman), I am not permitted to say what I actually feel about somebody who would make a series of jokes predicated on my mother, who died ten months ago, and do so while my father remains hospitalized. I can appreciate that my personal issue here does not, in your opinion, rise up to the overarching issues you face in your life. Perhaps in time I will agree with you. Right now, I can only underscore that this point is central to me: Ann Coulter's joke was about my recently deceased mother.

The comments that followed were mixed. Some thanking Olby while other said it was b.s.
It just amazes me that Keith's ego is so fragile that he feels he must defend himself to a bunch of lunatics on an obscure, far-left hate site. I know this is 99% of his viewership but how egotistical can you get? He will apologize to this community but in his mind (and theirs) it is perfectly OK to lie, cheat and steal as long as it involves a conservative or a Republican. It also OK to call thousands of people racist without a shred of proof and to throw smear bombs from the safety of a TV studio without any sort of civilized discussion or debate. But, God forbid, he insults the gay community or the Kos Kids...then he turns into Mother Teresa.
What a FRAUD!
The verbatim Coulter Attack from the unapologetic Oralmann went like this: "All I have to say about Ann Coulter is this: if this guy wants to live his life as a woman, I'm going to back his choice up 100%." J$, would Olby's Kos defense be considered tu quoque?
He's still trying to make it seem like Coulter was attacking his mom? Here's the full quote, taken from Coulter's website
"Naturally, the most hysterical response came from MSNBC's Keith Olbermann. After donning his mother's housecoat, undergarments and fuzzy slippers, Keith brandished the NIE report, night after night, demanding that Bush apologize to the Iranians. "
She clearly isn't attacking Keith's mom, she's specifically attacking Keith's feminine tendencies. Now, I don't think Coulter really helps her cause when she goes down this route, but for BathTub boy to assert this was an attack against his mother is nonsense. Sorry that your mom died 10 months ago Keith, but I really doubt that Coulter was thinking about that when she threw that joke into the column.
Speaking of Ann, she spoke at CPAC and guess who came up?
Another diary from the Kids demanding that Olby apologize:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/21/839143/-Keith,-I-think-you-should-apologize
I think there is a good chance Olby will make an on air apology Monday. He almost has to since this is almost the only viewership he has left. If he loses them he will be down to the mental patients at Bellevue...and that is only because they do not have access to the remote.
Remember Keith Olbermann is a girl. I loved that when Ann Coulter said that at CPAC. Ann is smart, hillarious, and gorgeous, so that is why Olbermann hates her. Olbermann has always hated women that are beautiful, intelligent, and successful. Look at what he has said about Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Carrie Prejean, Marsha Blackburn, and the ladies at Fox News. They are all beautiful, intelligent, and successful women. So why does keith have a problem with these women? Remember when you were in middle or high school and you saw all the popular, pretty girls, remember what the unpopular and unattractive girls used to say about them? Remember Keith Olbermann is a girl.
It's time once for the Fox Haters Week in Review.
So KO is upset that Ann Coulter said a joke involving his mother..but thinks Sara Palin is silly for being upset about jokes about her son Twig?...so he can dish it out but not take it..plus KO has been caught using his mother's death and father's illness has excuses to take off from his show and pop up at baseball games..so he loses some points on using them as a shield. New Murrow indeed.
The Great Moments in Olbypocrisy just keep on coming.
Another good review of how large a plank there is in the eye of Olbermann as he incorrectly points out a speck in the eyes of the TEA party protesters......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMdPTpOyUk4
Mike, the Dallas Tea Party had this little invite for Keith,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMdPTpOyUk4&feature=player_embedded
will he be man enough to attend? Would Rachel?
I'm waiting to see if he says anything about it and if so what tack he takes?
From TVNewser on the Dallas TEA Party invite of Olbermann.....
"Olbermann's response: 'I appreciate their invitation but with my Dad still in intensive care all this time, I have been only able to leave New York one night in the last six months.'"
