As Keith Olbermann slips deeper and deeper into irrational dementia, his claims become increasingly divorced from reality. Anyone who reads Olbermann Watch knows how he regularly lies with impunity, often in an embarrassing attempt to puff up his own importance. All of this gets magnified when he saunters into his personal echo chamber of adulation at his blog of choice, The Daily Kos.
The latest example finds Edward R Olbermann boasting of the money that flows into A-Mess-NBC from just two programs: Countdown and Rachel Maddow. But it's not enough to claim that his show is profitable. Olby has to kick it up a notch, and tells the credulous Kossacks that, between him and Maddow, they are responsible for nothing less than a billion dollars in profits!
Those of you who've posted about Comcast meaning the end of my show or Rachel's can, I think, relieve yourselves of such concerns....Whatever else you think of these guys, they are not in the habit of saying "a billion in profit over the next five years? Who needs it! Cancel the shows that generate it! (Oh, and let's keep paying both of their salaries, too)."
Now maybe Keith has a point there. Because his show, and Maddow's, are such powerhouses in the ratings that they are just setting the world on fire. The advertising revenues must be huge because their names are on everybody's lips. But don't take our word for it. Check out the latest CBS/NY Times poll:

Discuss, resolve, and recap the week's last Hour of Spin. Comments are open!
$1 billion in profit? What a hoot. Olberdouchenozzle & Ray Madcow couldn't generate $1 billion in REVENUE given 100 years. Look at their ratings. Consider their sponsors. Do the math.
what I LOVE about KO is when he talks about the "extreme" on the rights, when he is sitting there with Larry "the loon" O Donell! Its like there are not "extermemist on the "left"
I have no idea what KO is going to do on the 1st Tuseday of Novermenber 2010 when the news comes in that the House is GONE>>
and the Senate falls soon after making it the biggest take over in US History? Wil he even bother to show up for work that night?
I can't believe that the poll was even PUBLISHED. Predictable results though. Loved the "insufficient number......." part. Again predictable.
Olbermosexual is REALLY off his game tonight. Probably distracted by Miss Tur being at the Olympics "mingling" with hundreds of people HER OWN AGE!
NBC was willing to waste 50 million building Conan a set that didn't last year and an extra 30 million to get rid of him. What's left of Olbermanns contract is chump change compared to that.
This guy is so getting fired it's not funny, it's HILARIOUS.
Did Goebbels bring up this subject tonight?

The Senate approved legislation Thursday increasing the federal government's borrowing limit by $1.9 trillion, enough to enable the Treasury to pay its bills through 2010.
The 60-39 vote was strictly along party lines with no Republicans joining the Democratic majority to approve the legislation.

Or was he busy blaming Bush for something or talking about how his show is so profitable?

Thurday, February 11, 2010:
Countdown w/ K. Olbermann – 1,052,000 viewers (246,000) (516,000)
Nancy Grace – 878,000 viewers (274,000) (396,000)
Beaten by Nancy Grace (again) in the 25-54 "money" demo. If Obly pulls in the profits he claims...Nancy must be a money making machine for HLN.
#4: Crazy Larry held over from #5B, free to rail against Marc Thiessen, something he couldn't do on "Morning Joe" this morning. Don't worry, Mr. O'Donnell. Dr. Olbermahn, Ph.D, is here for you.
The real reason Keith does not have opposing points of view on his show.
From the Kos Kids:
On "The Big Show", he tried putting people from the left (or as left as any cable channel put on air in the 1990s) and right on at the same time. There was one incident where Ann Coulter insulted the more liberal guest over his weight. Keith had to make a big apology right after that. I believe Coulter was banned from his show after that.
You'd have to ask Keith about this, but I think those "debates" devolved into yelling matches and I wouldn't be surprised if he decided not to do that again.

Keith responds:
It was The Big Show
And it was election reform and the prospects of parliamentary debate. And the next day the executive producer came to me with a minute-by-minute graph of the audience ratings (first time I ever saw one of those) and it looked like Wall Street 1929 and he said "we are not doing that again."
and I went back to sports.

But then there is this delusional Kossask who disagrees with the FACT that Keith never debates anyone:
Yes he does
He has people on that he disagrees with, but he doesn't shout at them, shut off their microphone, or interrupt them. Remember Mancow? You're going to tell me he agreed with him? On one issue, yes... but they had a civil discussion.
He's had plenty of people on that he disagreed with, but he's polite, so you don't notice it as much.

So, to recap...Keith doesn't debate anyone or have opposing points of view because of the RATINGS. According to Olbylogic, if you have two opposing views on your show it will just results in yelling and screaming and your producer will tell you the ratings are not good so "we are not doing that again".
I have 2 words for that ridiculous statement: Bill O'Reilly
As for the poster who says, "He's had plenty of people on that he disagreed with, but he's polite, so you don't notice it as much."
Plenty of people? Who are they?
Polite? Get real.
What color is the sky in your world?
"Remember Mancow? You're going to tell me he agreed with him? On one issue, yes... but they had a civil discussion."
yeah, because the entire discussion was on the one issue where they agreed!
Brad: Remember what Olby always says. MSNBC is the highest rated REAL NEWS NETWORK! Remember logic and reason need not be servered at diner Bath-tub-boy.
Correction: Larry wasn't *fully* able to rail against Thiessen on "Morning Joe." He got his shots in despite Joe trying to rein him in. Bush let 9/11 happen! [Ding!] Mr. Bush! [Ding!]
Torture! [Ding!]
Katy is really at the Olympics? That's terrible. Nepotism continues to strike again.
Speaking of the Olympics, did anybody catch NBC's broadcast tonight, specifically the Tom Brokaw piece on Canada? NBC basically opened their coverage with a 10 minute piece where Brokaw explained why the people of Canada are the greatest in the history of western civilization, and Americans should be ashamed we don't behave like them.
Seriously, he ended his piece by insulting Americans who chant "USA! USA! USA!" at international events (specifically the 2002 winter games) by saying that Canadians would never participate in such a brutish display of national pride. In addition, there were shots about how Canada entered WWII before we did. Somebody might want to inform Brokaw and NBC that Canada was forced into WWII due to their commonwealth association with England. Americans saw substantially more action than Canadians because it took the Canucks a much greater period of time to mobilize their forces to Italy and eventually Normandy.
And people wonder why NBC is tanking, both in their broadcast network and in their political arm at MSNBC. Americans generally have a low tolerance for those who attempt to discredit our greatness and apologize for actions which need no explanation. Are we generally an arrogant and proud nation? Hell yes, and I see no problem with that.
I almost wish that NBC would put Olbermann at the sports desk for the Olympics. The more the public sees his face, the more they despise him. Giving him some international face time might result in an even earlier cancellation.
And we have a guaranteed target for WPITW next week. On Red Eye tonight, Gutfeld, Coulter and Tucker Carlson just went after BathTub Boy over the ag school diploma incident again. Tucker Carlson personally thanked Ann for inciting the overreaction from Olby, and even known lefty Bill Schultz gave her a high five.
No doubt that we are going to have another justification for his time at Cornell come Monday.
Olbermahn and his Ag School degree
It's not a Masters or PhD
Not a Doctor (or nurse)
Olby's much worse:
Jocksniffer and Cornell wanna-be
Rachel "Rhodes Scholar" Maddow had an Obama moment last night. She actually had to stop the show in mid-stream and REWIND THE TELEPROMPTER. The cringe meter was red lining.
Yet, Maddow has the gall to call out Sarah Palin during the same show using a google ad rip-off. What a hoot!
Rhodes Scholar, indeed.
From NewsBusters: Keith Olbermann Blames 9/11 On George W. Bush [in #4].
I can't be the only one who finds it odd that even when Olby gives an explanation, even his own _supporters_ turn around and disagree with him, can I?
Could it be that the Kossacks have gone so far left that even Olbermann isn't enough of a left-wing extremist for them?
By HoneySmacks on February 13, 2010 2:37 AM
Really Mr Brokaw? I can see he has never tuned into a Montreal Canadians telecast on CBC to hear the crowd boo the American Anthem?
Habs Fans are know for disrespecting the Anthem, especially when the Bruins are in town.
And Vancouver Canucks fans? Well, Mr. Brokaw is getting very old. I'm sure he forgot about this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmwpTVnqpxU
So I guess in Mr Brokaw's mind It's okay for me to go out, get drunk & loot stores after my team loses, and if anything bad happens just blame it on the cops. It's the Canadian way.
This is not to say all Canadians are like this, they are not. But for NBC to say one Country is better behaved then another is indeed ludicrous.
Maybe Mr. Obama will go on another apology tour.
The disrespect of our country from the hollywood elite and overpaid journalists has been going on for sometime now, and it never ceases to amaze me being that these same elitists would never do a tenth as well in the country's they hold to such high esteem. Not only in the sick amount of money they would lose, but in their basic freedoms as well. I remember watching the Johnny Carson show where Candice Bergan was on exhalting the many "wonderful" and "exhilirating" traits held by the Chinese government while she was there filming "The Sand Pebbles" with Steve McQueen. She blathered on for about a full 5 minutes saying how much America could learn from China and to how far behind we were in basic manners compared to the Communistic regime.
Well, thank God for Carson, as he called her out on it and told her if she was so thrilled with China and so down on America that nobody was forcing her hand as she was free to move there anytime she wanted. Subsequently, she was so "insulted" that she just got up and left, to a loud applause from his audience.
Unfortunately, if the same thing had happened now I'm sure the audience would have applauded her most for her disparaging of the country that allowed her to make an un-Godly amount of money, and if the host was Letterman he would have applauded too.
Where has our national pride gone? Sickening...
