Didn't John Gibson get fired from MSNBC for spending too much time in the bathtub? You know, like when he should have been on the job...
No, you have it backwards. Gibson calls OLBERMANN Bathtub Boy because during the Monica Lewinsky scandal KO refused to come in to work and stayed in the bathtub all day instead. He could not stand that one of his heroes, Bill Clinton, was in trouble.
Gibson was the one who had to fill in for Olbermann while he was out, which meant he had to do his own show PLUS carry KO's weight as well.
WOW, now Kieth is impeaching those who aren't even elected. This man has some ego.
In New York City, Keith Olbermann is especially heinous. It's the brave men and women (there are some chicks here, right? I mean no Mariska Hargitays but one can hope) of Olbermann Watch to try to keep report about it while keeping sane. These are their stories.
WPITW ABSTRACT
Bronze: David Furdosdo: for calling out Keith about no Black tea partiers! IN YOUR FACE KEITH
Silver: BECK-O! Something about Romney care and Keith calls Mitt Romney a socialist. Says Becks will eventaully call everyone a socialist.
GOLD: Rudy Guliani for yelling at Obama for cutting our nuclear arsenal. Keith, if we give up our weapons, do you really think that our enemies (and yes, WE DO HAVE ENEMIES WHO WILL KILL US IF GIVEN THE CHANCE, FATASS!)
Another award winning Countdown to someone going Elliot Stabler on Bathtub Boy's fat ass!
last part of the show..
HE laughed because Mudddouck couldnt name a Dem that is FNC.
Somehow its ok for him to never have a conservative on shiw show?
HEY KEITH NAME A REPUBLICAN EVER TO BE ON YOUR SHOW!
ANd HEy Juan Willaims, Marha Alison and Geraldo? and a lot of lib contributers that show up...
IF I understand Olbermann no conervatives should ever be allowend on TV?
and a big annoucemnt coming tomorrow!
"during the Monica Lewinsky scandal KO refused to come in to work and stayed in the bathtub all day instead. He could not stand that one of his heroes, Bill Clinton, was in trouble."
Oh, is THAT how it goes? See, I thought he and MSNBC had a disagreement with it because he thought the media was blowing up what was a non-story. Nothing about bathtubs was mentioned.
"HE laughed because Mudddouck couldnt name a Dem that is FNC.
Somehow its ok for him to never have a conservative on shiw show?"
Well, it was established by you people the other day that simply appearing on his show makes you a liberal.
MKDUMBASS wrote: "...(Keith) thought the media was blowing up what was a non-story..."
Only Olbermann would think that impeaching the President of the United States was a "non-story"... unless he was a Republican.
Just listened to the Gibson clip. Is it me or does Bath Tub Boy's "jokes" fall flat like his ratings?
BTW, Fox News contributors Kirsten Powers, Bob Beckel, Geraldo Rivera, Juan Williams, and Alan Colmes... all liberals.
So much for msdnc's "The TEA party is racist" and "The TEA party is stoking violence" narrative.
CNN political producer Shannon Travis just finished a "five-city Western swing" following the Tea Party Express for the network's coverage and has posted this CNN.com dispatch of his experience:
Being at a Tea Party rally is not quite like seeing it on TV, in newspapers or online. That's the reason CNN is covering this political movement -- and doing so in ways few others can or choose to do.
It is important to show the colorful anger Americans might have against elected leaders and Washington. But people should also see the orange-vested Tea Party hospitality handlers who welcome you with colorful smiles.
Travis, who's African-American adds, "There were a few signs that could be seen as offensive to African-Americans. But by and large, no one I spoke with or I heard from on stage said anything that was approaching racist."

Ignorence is bliss at msnbc....
So, Keith, Geno, how did Glenn Beck really react to Coburn's Pelosi praise/Fox bash? Well, I don't know the TV reaction, but here's the transcript from the third hour of his radio show.
Oh yeah MKDAWUSS, because Olbermann has NEVER blown up a non-story!
"Well, it was established by you people the other day that simply appearing on his show makes you a liberal."
First of all, "you people"? You RACIST! Second of all, since you've finally decided to acknowledge my existence, I'll just give you a second chance to respond to this:
"If Olbermann NEVER has anyone on who disagrees with him (which cannot be denied) to talk politics, why should anyone believe he would bring someone on who disagrees with him to talk about a non-political issue? Suppose they suddenly wanted to challenge him on a political issue?
Besides, I think if anyone who grants that lying, hypocritical scumbag an interview must be just as morally bankrupt or at least WOEFULLY ignorant or DESPARATE for attention.....Unless of course you can prove that he is honorable, which you have proven time and time again that you CANNOT."
Great job, syvyn11 on the WPITW abstract. It's great to see you back there again. Also, see the previous thread for my response to your question that you asked me there this morning.
The Cable Game: Tom Coburn, Useful Idiot for the Left. Yeah, that's about right.
#3: More of the beating of the we-need-to-close-all-mines-because-of-a-mine-disaster drum with a guest to join in the drum beating.
#1: The eeevil Rupert Murdoch. David Weigel, another Olby-approved hack (not saying the #3 guest was), dropped by to bash the competition...because if we hammer them enough with the supposed truth, they'll drop Fox for us. That's OlbyLogic.
Them=News Corp/FNC/FBN/Sky/New York Post/Wall Street Journal
They=Gullible viewers
I was referring to #4, not #3. #3: The slavery card. Julian Bond played patty cake with Rev. Olbermoronn.
"Them" brought to mind another Olby meme: "them government(s)." He uses that when he's casting aspersions on viewers/voters he disagrees with.
The Ed Rendell pendulum has swung back to Fox. The Pennsylvania Governor went "On the Record" tonight. Friday night, he somehow wound up on the Hour of Spin.
I literally switched over to Meltdown for 10 seconds when I heard Bath Tub Boy accuse the Florida doctor of being racist. I immediately turned the channel, looked at the ceiling and stated, "I can't believe this lunatic is still playing the race card".
Pathetic
Keith has more Twitter followers (7) than viewers. Keith even managed to make John Hodgman look like Bond-era Sean Connery.
And how many Twitter followers does OlbyWatch have, and how many does KO have?
That's a meaningless question. KO doesn't have a twitter account, or don't you remember his half baked rant last year about how the MSNBC twitter account for Olbermann was in no way affiliated with MSNBC or Olbermann?
WPITW abstract:
Bronze-Gov. Tim Pawlenty for allegedly buying the domain name bachmanrally.com and redirecting it to his own website.
Silver-Sean Hannity for pointing out that Obama wants to socialize America like Europe, end Capalitism in America, and that Obama will go down as the worst President in U.S. history on both Economic and National Security issues.
Gold-Sen. Tom Coburn for advocating blocking the extension of unemployment benefits unless it's done as pay-as-you-go.
Another award winning Countdown to Countdown with Crazy Larry O'Donnell.
It just wouldn't be a Meltdown without a Glenn Beck attack taken completely out of context.
In the #4 segment "Crazy like a Fox" (who can guess what he is referring to?) Olbermann quoted a Forbes Magazine profile where Glenn Beck supposedly said "I could give a flying crap about the political process...We're an entertainment company". Based on the way that Olbermann cropped the quote, you would assume that he was either referring to his show on Fox, or his nationally syndicated radio show. Naturally, that assumption would be wrong since it was built on Olby Logic. What was Beck actually referring to? He was referring to Mercury Radio Arts, publisher of Fusion magazine, and wait for it.... A SELF DESCRIBED ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY which employs at least 34 full-time staffers separate from his show on Fox.
http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2010/0426/entertainment-fox-news-simon-schuster-glenn-beck-inc.html
So yes Edward R. Olbermann, you have successfully discovered that Glenn Beck is indeed the CEO of an entertainment company outside of his work on Fox. He was the CEO of the company well before his appearance on Fox, and possible even prior to his tenure at CNN. Doesn't really work as an attack on Fox, does it? However, it doesn't really come as a surprise that Olbermann would slip that out-of-context attack in a segment devoted entirely to attacking Fox.
I am going to have to slightly qualify my statement from above. The Glenn Beck show does have connections to Mercury Radio Arts, it accounts for a whopping 4% of revenue, with the vast majority coming from his book deals and Premiere Radio Network.
Jeff,
The WPITW Silver...Sean Hannity hit the nail right on the head.
Yes he did, Brad.
I challenge Keith to find a poll which actually showed that the majority of physicians like the current health care reform law. Here is a fairly legitimate one which shows that 63% thought the final Senate Bill was too complex and not targeted towards the actual requests of doctors.
http://www.themedicusfirm.com/pages/medicus-media-survey-reveals-impact-health-reform
Seeing as a he based the premise of his second quick Komment on the idea that the Florida doctor was a racist for not agreeing with the majority of other doctors, I think the least he could do is point out where he got that information from.
Quick Comment Comment: Keith gets it wrong, as usual. for Keith 2+2=6. Keith, I don't belive that vertern congressman, cause there is NO FRAKKING EVEIDNCE OTHER THAN HIS WORD!!! And I guess Keith is trying out for Croupier, cause he's playing the race card again.
NOW FOR THE GAME WHERE KNOWLEDGE IS KING, LADY LUCK IS QUEEN AND KEITH IS THE JESTER!!!
WPITW Abstract! (sung to Smokin' in the boys room by Motley Crue)
Bronze: Tim Planety - for defending Michelle Bachman.
Silver: HANNITY-O for calling out Obama for killing capitalism and our national security, Kieth can't see it. So Keith? How does Obama's butt taste?
GOLD: Tom Corburn: for block unemployment benifits. I don't really care any more. Keith blames Bush for being in debt while forgetting that Obama spent more in one day, than Bush did in 8 years.
Another Award winning Countdown to Keith dealing at Luxor!
"That's a meaningless question. KO doesn't have a twitter account, or don't you remember his half baked rant last year about how the MSNBC twitter account for Olbermann was in no way affiliated with MSNBC or Olbermann?"
And because he clarified a misconception last year, he's not allowed to get one now? Now what sense does that make?
Olby conjures his information out of thin air to suit his warped view of the world.
"Olby conjures his information out of thin air to suit his warped view of the world."
How come he uses facts and sources then?
Hey MK, how come he didn't cite a source in his second komment today? He called a physician racist because he went against the majority of physicians who supposedly support the new health care bill, but he made absolutely no attempt to qualify that statement or say where he got the "majority" statistic.
If you are going to go out on a limb and call somebody racist since they are against the majority of physicians who apparently love our President, I think some proof might be required. And I'm not talking about the majority of physicians who support reform as a general concept, but a majority which supports the FINAL health care bill as signed by Obama last month. That's what Keith claimed, and I want proof.
MKDAWUSS, what in the world is wrong with you? That's not a rhetorical question either; I really want to know.
You come here everyday and ignore the vast majority of what is said about Olbermann and anything you do address is immediately smacked down--at which point you disappear without a rebuttal--and yet you STILL insist that KO "uses facts and sources" to make such logical and reasoned claims.
So again, what is your deal?
""How come he uses facts and sources then?"" -MK
You can cite facts and sources to suit your warped world view.
And if you have nobody on who disagrees with you, you'll never have to answer about the other facts that call your view into question.
For example. Keith Olbermann routinely used polls that showed people supported the vague notion of "health care reform" to make a lot of his points. But he usually ignored polls that showed most people were against this particular health care reform. Hence, he is using facts, but still being dishonest.
Bobby,
Like the Daily Rag poll that shows Obama at a 54% favorable rating when 9 other major polls have him averaging 47% favorable.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html
Is Olbermahn and his elitist ilk too stupid to realize that labeling the Tea Party as racist, gun-toting, secessionists is counter-productive? The Tea Party is made up of Joe and Jane Six-Pack. Average, hard-working (now unemployed) Americans that don't want the Government intruding on every aspect of their lives... don't tread on me. By insulting average Americans, Olberdouchenozzle stokes their fire. Evidently, Kowardly Keith doesn't understand this simple fact because he's too afraid to leave Manhattan Island and actually cover a Tea Party event. It's easier to hide behind a teleprompter and hurl insults... just like his boy Obama.
New Murrow, indeed.
From MKDAWUSS
"And because he clarified a misconception last year, he's not allowed to get one now? Now what sense does that make?"
How many times does this need to be said? Seriously, if you are going to come here defending Olbermann then quite with the same lies every time a new topic is made. To recap for the 47th time:
1) MSNBC makes a twitter account for the Countdown show
2) Someone sends olbermann an email asking if they can list his twitter account on a political site
3) Olbermann goes on air accusing Fox News of creating a twitter account using his name in order to smear him
4) The truth is revealed that MSNBC runs the twitter account, the guy who sent the email was a liberal and no one from Fox News was involved
5) Olbermann to this day has refused to appologize or even correct his bullshit
Again from MCDAWUSS
"How come he uses facts and sources then?"
His sources are:
1) Daily Kos
2) Think Progress
3) Huffington Post
4) Media Matters
Notice that all his sources are blogs with an agenda? He doesn't use reilaible sources. For crying out loud, last year he took an anyonmous post on a huff-po article to attack a congressman. If I posted that I saw Allen Grayson kicking a starving kitten would you expect Bill O'Reilly to use it in his show? HELL NO but that is EXACTLY the stupid shit that Keith Olbermann does.
Bingo
game, set, and match! now enough with mk--we are getting distracted from mr. uberracist and his ridiculous utterances. which is of vourse the reason for this site! and yes---olby is racist--against whites and philipinos
Oh No this reading from that book crap is going to be regular friday night thing now..DEAR GOD!
I would rather have Rosie Odonnell Give me a topless lap dance then have to listen to KO read from this book..ever again!@
#2: The Media Matters Minute. Worser was Stuart Varney. Staccato British accent used. Worst was Brent Bozell. On a related note, NewsBusters has been inaccessible since this afternoon. The Media Research Center site is still up.
#1: Video title: "Fridays with Thurber." Ed Murrow loved to read Thurber on the air, and so did Eric Sevareid.
pwep_head, he also uses "Crooks and liars" which is the ulitimate projection website. They call us 'crooks and liars' when they are the biggest 'crooks and liars'.
There were only two repeat guests this week: Howie Fineman and Geno Robinson. Both appeared on Tuesday and Thursday.
He also uses the Politico, the NYT, WaPo, NBC News, Nielsen, and primary sources like Sarah Palin's Facebook page.
And did you hear about how many Twitter fans he has?
I think storytime is something that was best as a one-time incident, but... Hey, look, Thurber's children wanted him to do it, so...
Well, you sure showed us. You win.
Let me repost this so MK can dodge it again and deny doing so when pointed out.
Hey MK, how come he didn't cite a source in his second komment yesterday? He called a physician racist because he went against the majority of physicians who supposedly support the new health care bill, but he made absolutely no attempt to qualify that statement or say where he got the "majority" statistic.
If you are going to go out on a limb and call somebody racist since they are against the majority of physicians who apparently love our President, I think some proof might be required. And I'm not talking about the majority of physicians who support reform as a general concept, but a majority which supports the FINAL health care bill as signed by Obama last month. That's what Keith claimed, and I want proof.
MKDAWUSS, it's funny you should mention Sarah Palin's Facebook page, because Olbermann not only thinks it's a primary source, but he also cited it as an actual media outlet when trying to prove that conservatives have a voice in the media (even though that is not the claim by conservatives, but rather that the *mainstream* media is heavily *biased* in favor of the left).
I'd like to expand upon bobbytomale's April 9, 2010 1:10 AM post. I recall once that Olbermann claimed Glenn Beck sincerely asked a reverend on his show if Obama could possibly be the Antichrist. TECHNICALLY Beck DID ask that, but it was a JOKE as evidenced by his tone of voice and laughing; of course, no one heard his tone or the laughter as Olbermann read the quote instead of providing the video (which was available). Word to the wise MK, when Olbermann reads something that he could as easily let you hear or see, you know he's lying.
So factual sources amount to nothing if they're used to tell a lie.
MKDAWUSS says:
"He also uses the Politico, the NYT, WaPo, NBC News, Nielsen, and primary sources like Sarah Palin's Facebook page."
Well let's see there, according to Olbermann he is the number one rated news show according to Nielsen. His proof? Well, we are all still waiting for that.
As for the NYT, WaPo and NBC (a.k.a. GE) also all have an agenda to push. Why do you think that as soon as Obama became president he started hiring supposed "reporters" from these organizations? It was pay back for all the propoganda these "news" sources provided.
I don't remember much about Olbermann and Politico but doesn't he routinely call them a far right wing web site? The only other people who would agree with Olbermann on that are the hoopleheads at democratic underground (feel free to correct me here if I am wrong).
The New York Times, Washington Post, Nielsen and NBC? Stop it dude, you're killing me.
NYT, WaPo and NBC are as far left as you can get. As far as Nielsen is concerned, didn't Olby use them to say he had the highest rated cable news program NOT ON FOX and he was #1 in a demo that didn't exist.
Too funny.
It's pointless people.
MK will not grace this thread again as there are several blatant instances of Olbyprocrisy which he cannot defend. He will show up again early next week, and if any of us point out how he has a tendency of reappearing only when new threads post, he will claim that we are stalking him and that he has better things to do than answer questions here. Of course, that won't stop him from posting in that thread until the lies build up to the point they are defenseless again.
Move along, nothing new here. MK has proven that it's impossible to defend a scumbag like Edward R. Olbermann. The best you can do is drag down well known conservatives and dodge accusations against the deplorable one himself.
the show is jsut a joke. At least mandow actually attempts to do something akind to jounlalism. What do we get from KO segmeants entiled "WTF" and "book time with Keith""
Sorry, HoneySmacks. MK will keep up his crap! One thing a Obama/Olbermann lives in is hypocrisy and ignores it.
I thought i'd never quote a beatles hit , but in this case...IT FITS
Hes a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his nowhere land,
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody.
Hes as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere man can you see me at all?
