Seems Dodd and Shelbey reached a compromise today and the bill will proceed. Will Olby come on tonight to correct his blatent water-carrying for the Dems in the Senate or will be find some way to spin this to be Obama cracking down on those fillibustering Repubs? I won't be tuning in to find out.

P.S. to MCDAWUSS: Why are you still using month to month numbers rather then year to year numbers for ratings? No one does that but hacks like Olbermann and bloggers that listen to hacks like Olbermann. If you want to come here to defend btb then use accepted logic, not Olbylogic.

Water-carrying? Where? If there was going to be a filibuster, it was going to be because of the GOP. That compromise avoided the filibuster, but if there was one, who was going to create it? The GOP.

Now, I was thinking, how can I make it up for not giving you a dose of humor during this horrorshow. Let me give you my Netflix instant streaming movie of the day: Nine Deaths. A movie I watched because it starred Melissa Joan Hart (it was actually a revenge flick). Good movie for 80 of 90 minutes, but it was worth it to hear Sabrina (or Calrissa- it depends) drop the F bomb more than Carl Levin. It's strangely sexy (hearing it from MJH not Levin).

Reid knew that Shelbey and Dodd were days away from reaching bi-partisan support for a reform bill. However Reid and the DNC want to keep going with the whole "Party of No" crap so they forced a vote on a bill that no one supported. The only reason 57 dems voted for it was that they knew their asses were covered because the republicans are willing to stop the BS Reid was throwing up.

For the water-carrying you had Olbermann true to form on his show Monday spouting DNS talking points. You think Murrow would have just gone with the DNC press release on this or dug into it to see what the Dems and Reps were really up to?

Olbermann is whole owned by the DNC. He has no credibility, no standards, no ethics and certainly no fairness when it comes to political stories.

Right now Olbermann has till the 4th quarter of this year before Comcast takes over and he's shown the door. Perhaps all the stalling being done by the FCC will push it into next year but his days are numbered. Also why is the FCC delaying this deal? Obama trying to pay back the hack MSNBC staff for the 24 hour a day campaigning the network did for him?

Make fun of his low ratings by using sarcasm and hyperbole such as "what does your one viewer think" and he invariably responds with something along the lines of:
"I have 2 million viewers a night. If you people keep displaying your bad maths skills you will continue to look like fools" or words to that effect. Basically, he's whining like a nerd with no concept of humor.

But sometimes he'll throw this one in:

"Top-rated news show not on Fixed news, and thus the top rated NEWS show."

All stuff he blathers about on his show of course.

The natural response to that would be to ask how in hell's glory he could possibly consider what he does a news show. But I don't know if anyone has asked that question, since he can pick and choose what he responds to, and he has never responded in a way to justify how what he does is considered "news." He just makes fun of the hecklers (calls it Batting Practice), cites statistically dubious data, and insults Fox and its anchors.

The fact that he justifies the hecklers by responding in the first place is an embarrassment, but what he says just makes it worse. Oy.

THE VERY FIRST THING HE SAID GOING INTO THE SHOW was that the Arizona Diamondbacks are the only MLB team without a prominent hispanic player on their roster. Who better to ask about the state of mind of the tea party than Howard Dean? It's not like entire tea party organizations have been begging Olbermann to invite them on or for him to make an appearance at one of their meetings.

So, summary of #4 tonight: Tea party is stupid for rejecting another RINO in Crist. However, they are too stupid to know they are being stupid. Howard Dean nods in agreement.

#3 tonight was Olbermann attempting to blame Sarah Palin for an oil rig that was constructed before Sarah Palin was even elected governor of Alaska. Evidence of this? Sarah Palin saying that we have the technology to reach new oil in the gulf we couldn't reach before. Somebody might want to inform the MSNBC staff that discovery of oil =/= safety of pumping oil from the ground. What was exactly incorrect about what Palin said? Better technology has allowed us to build oil rigs in deeper waters. However, the rig that blew up was not one of the hypothetical rigs that Palin was talking about last month.

Then, the new Murrow, with his vast intellectual and linguistic abilities, artfully concluded his attack on Palin by saying "That woman...is an idiot". Somebody is dropping hints they deserve an Emmy!

Worse: Fox News, for apparently having a 19% one years rating drop, and leaving Glenn Beck out of a promotion for their dominating ratings. Olbermann completely misses the point that Fox was boasting about their shows that have been a staple in their 100 month ratings domination. Beck has been on the air for 15 months. See how the bottom of the ad says "Celebrating 100 months and counting"?

Worser: Some criminal in Iowa who attempted to bail his friend out using counterfeit money.

Worst: A facebook page which jokingly wishes Obama were dead using a call to prayer. Olbermann's lack of research shows he had no idea the Facebook page wasn't the first to post the joke. He also thinks the people who created the page are evangelical Christians who are literally praying for God to kill Obama. Sure, the page was distasteful, but Olbermann couldn't help but to make it an attack on Christians.

I knew when he said "prominent" he left himself weasel room to get out of it, as the Ape Ruler is the master of flimsy excuses, but he fell short once again as Montero is rated the number 6 catcher in all of baseball. I'd say that reaches the level of good, and I'd also say the ape ruler is one pathetic loser.

Can't win one even when he leaves himself enough wiggle room to pass an ocean liner through. God, what a wasted peace of human flesh.

And finally, you stay classy, Edward R. Olbermann. His #1 story featured him attacking Beck for his former drug addiction, as well as comparing him to a television skit 15 years ago where Dave Foley said he was crazy conservative because his parents beat him nightly with a Bible.

Olbermann thinks it's a novelty that in a country which demonized the Soviet Union for 50 years, there were comedy skits that actually breached the subject. You are right Keith, you stumbled upon the only video taped parody of anti-communists. Dave Foley implies that it was a bad idea that Beck entered rehab, society would have been better off if he had just died in a gutter. And I'm not being over dramatic there, even Olbermann paused for a few seconds before laughing at that one.

No class, Keith. No class at all.

I tuned in for about 30 seconds just to see if Olbermann was in tonight and I caught the guest in story 3, not sure who he is, say that Palin claimed she had foreign affairs experience because she could see Russia from her house. Did Olbycrit correct him? No, he followed that lie with "Sarah Palin is an idiot". How can anyone take this man seriously? MCDAWUSS, if you are still around how can you defend this?

It was about the oil spill in the gulf. Bathtubboy was making fun of Palin's "Drill, baby, drill".

What was Keith's point about the Arizona Diamondbacks? That if you're a young Hispanic player and no one thinks you can make an all-star team, you might as well give up? Huh?

It's like his little blog about the Dodgers having less black players in one random year than they did in another random year. He's just pulling meaningless stats out of his ass and throwing them out there as significant and then patting himself on the back for it. But what he's suggesting is probably more racist than the brand of racism he's supposedly trying to eliminate (of course we all know 'progressives' don't want to eliminate racism since it gives them an excuse for government intervention).

Edward R. Olbermann's line of logic for his attack on the Diamondbacks made no sense. Basically, a private business which is in no way connected to the Arizona political scene is complicit in their racist legislation because they don't have any "prominent" Hispanic players. That's right, the Diamondback's front office has been plotting this day for years, when they would send out horrible Hispanic baseball players to send a message they are aligned with those racist state politicians. Obviously, the GM prefers having bad players as opposed to good players. Money be damned, it's not like they have any concerns beyond meeting Olbermann's racial prominence quota.

Good job Diamondbacks, you should be ASHAMED that almost half of your roster is populated with average Hispanic players. Obviously if you weren't so racist, you would only be employing Hispanic all-stars. That racist Cy Young winner Brandon Webb should stop winning games so he doesn't make his inferior Latin-American teammates feel bad. You also need to watch out for that white-supremacist Adam LaRoche, he should let the minorities on the team get more RBI's instead of hoarding them himself. Conor Jackson? With a name like that, he might be a white male who drives a pickup-truck. Bench him!

I still can't tell if it was an attack on those Hispanic players who aren't all-stars, or if he actually believes that boycotting the Diamondbacks is a constructive means of protesting the law. By the way, I have to echo what Wolverine said regarding Montero. He sucks so bad he is only batting .500 this year and is the fifth most owned catcher in fantasy baseball leagues.

Not was Dave Foley in #1, but Paul Rodriguez was in #5A. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) was in #5B. Another blue suit interview.

One final comment on the Diamondbacks fiasco, he responded on his Twitter account when somebody pointed out the most popular player in Diamondback's history, Luis Gonzalez, was actually a Hispanic.

His answer?

"Wasn't clear on that - meant active players"

So it's not enough that the team rallied behind Gonzalez in 2001 and he got the game winning hit against his beloved Yankees in game 7 of the World Series. Actually, I think I may have unearthed his obsession with the Diamondbacks right there. Those racists actually made Mariano Rivera blow a save in game 7 of a World Series. It now makes slightly more sense. Olbermann is a bitter jackass who loves holding grudges and making them national scandals.

Oh, by the way, minutes before the Tea Time attack, Mr. James was on the Juan Williams-hosted 'O'Reilly Factor'.

And, Olbermann just takes a shot of nearly every resident of Central PA, with that Commonwealth Foundation crack. I'll admit, Matt Brouilette (Head of the Commonwealth Foundation) gets on my nerves every now and then, but dear lord, he's a more intelligent and well-spoken man than Olbermann could ever hope to be.
