The greatness that is Keith Olbermann is so far beyond that of mortal men that it's almost like a god coming down to earth when he graces the rabble with a few of his immortal tweets. And Edward R Olbermann has a favorite topic: no, not Palin, or O'Reilly, or Beck, or even Obama. Nothing so warms the cockles of Olby's heart as talking about...himself! His achievements, the swells who know him and fawn over him, and of course the great and near-great who hang on every word uttered on The Hour of Spin. Submitted for your consideration, just a few examples of Oralmann on his favorite subject:
Comments are open!
Well he's not going to be on tonight's show for the bloated one is at Yankees stadium on Jackie Robinson night. He's been twittering like crazy, to which is kronies like Joan Walsh even commented. Tell me what in the hell is Salon.com? The history of women in hair rollers?
It's all about Keith 24/7.
I figured today would be a good day to rip the Tea Party movement. But I guess not. Of course they just showed video of a black guy at a tea party so that might wreck his whole racism theory.
Maybe David Shuster can come in and make some jokes. Wait, no he can't.
Context.
Bill-o's Talking Points memo attacked NBC (didn't name MSNBC or Bathtubboy by name), about the Corburn controversy. Called them 'dishonest', 'we deserve a honest media' and that once Comcast takes over, changes will be made.
Wonder if Keith is coming back tomorrow or he's done for the week? Cause when he gets back, it's going to be good, with attacks by O'Reilly and Gibson, Keith must be going nuts!
That picture of Cankles cracks me up every time.
Narcissistic, thy name is Keith.
Joan Walsh should go back to doing Glade air freshener commercials. LOL
Well MKDAWUSS....here's your context:
Boy! Is KO ever fat!
With his tweets boring people to tears
Comes a need to consume thirteen beers
A twelve-pack won't do
One more... maybe two
To read Keith-tweets to his twitter peers
I refer to an MLB blog today by the new Ebert:
http://keitholbermann.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/04/sad_but_true.html
Olby comes up with some nonsense about how it is somehow significant that the 2010 Dodgers have less black Americans than a few years Olby cherry picks to support his lame idea. It's all pretty pointless anyway, fueled by Olby's inate racism that his Liberal guilt is attempting to assuage by overcompensating in his racial sensitivity (also a nice explanation for his attacks on Tea Partiers). Anyway, Olby tries to cover this with a disclaimer: "Presented with no implication of racism, nor with any other comment."
Well, Olby can find no peace wherever he goes, I guess. Note this (soon to be deleted) hilarious and true comment:
"American-born MSNBC hosts, not of Hispanic descent:
2010 MSNBC lineup (0):
Sad But True
Presented with implication of racism by MSNBC"
By martyb@att.net on April 15, 2010 11:20 PM
keep an eye on this one to see how fast Keith knocks out that comment (when he gets home from the Yankee game?). In any case, it's preserved here.
The actress in the Glade commercials *does* look like Joan Walsh. :D
You have to got to be kidding me: Buzz Aldrin was on tonight.
Glad somebody noticed. I'm afraid, however, that Joannie has 15+ yrs on the gal in the ad.
Buzz is plugging the Obama version of a space program. He was on Fox News this morning with a model of the Mars moon Phobos and was talking about landing on Phobos and building a base to land on Mars. At least he wanted to talk about that. Bill Hemmer was kind of rude to him.
Yikes. Check out this Olbytweet:
@Sarahbearstare a day without being mad at teabaggers is like a day without sunshine!
So he admits he gets off on hating conservatives!
Let's break this down.
Teapartiers basically think they pay too much taxes. It isn't a factor of what the actual tax rate is, it's a matter of philosophy of governance. To be mad at someone for wanting to keep more of their own money is to relish the ability to take their property.
You'll note a lot of liberal pundits are criticizing teapartiers by comparing what they are complaining about to historical trends. But to do so misses the point. One's tax burden currently may be the lowest it has ever been, but that doesn't mean they think they are still paying too much.
To disagree with them is one thing. But to actually be mad at them? This is being mad at them simply for disagreeing with you. And to enjoy that anger enough to equate it to a bright sunny day? That's really sick.
This one tweet demonstrates perfectly how much KO despises the basic freedoms on which America is based.
I guess I should stop being surprised with guests I wouldn't expect to be on "Countdown" appearing on "Countdown." They're free to appear wherever they want...unless they're MSNBC contributors. Then, they're only on the NBC family of networks.
The Daily Caller's Olby Week in Review
More amusing Tweets from the New Ebert:
"@KeithOlbermann have you ever heard the expression "don't feed the trolls?" ;)"
"@binkitybonk Yes. I thought it only applied if you weren't feeding them hemlock."
Wow. He actually thinks his counter-insults are effective … and appropriate.
Unbelieveable
I think Twitter will what finally drives Olbermann over the deep end. I imagine by the end of the year he'll be completely agoraphobic.
Sorry, correction:
I think Twitter is what will finally drive Olbermann over the deep end. I imagine by the end of the year he'll be completely agoraphobic.
Also, the latest meme among the Lib bloggers (Olby included) is that Obama has somehow lowered taxes to their lowest level in 60 years (my own taxes went up, but whatever … thank you California). Most cite a CBS blog: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20002548-503544.html
It lists most of the various ways people got a tax cut. Except, every example is a TAX CREDIT, not a tax cut.
The 60 year estimation comes from William Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center and director of the Retirement Security Project at the left-leaning Brookings Institution.
The blog also questions the Tea Party's motives, since if taxes are so low, why are they angry? It then blames state and local governments for raising tax rates (see, it's not Obama! Blame your state!)
Anyway, leave it to the wonkish leftists to twist and turn the tax data to deflect blame from the Chosen One, right?
Never mind that many local expenses can be affected by Federal policy (think of it as the Federal government cutting taxes but enacting policies to cause the states to raise them). California, for example, has a substantial illegal immigrant expenditure because the Federal government refuses to crack down on the problem.
Then you have the fundamental philosophical differences that lets wonks call a tax credit a tax cut.
See, if it's a tax credit, that means the government is giving you the taxpayer a discount, usually for something the government wants. If you don't qualify, or don't want what the government wants you to want, too bad. This is the government letting you keep more money, which implies it's all the government's money anyway.
If it were a tax cut, the government simply wouldn't ask for that much money to begin with. This would imply that money earned belongs to the individual.
See the difference? What the libs don't get is that the Tea Party is not objecting to taxes per se. They are objecting to the notion that Washington and Obama think that anything is earned at the consent of the government, when in fact government should be run by the consent of the people.
Now, Libs will say in a democracy the people voted this philosophy into power, so it must be true. Which is a fine position, but let's not overlook another frustration of the Tea Party, that the government has turned over too much power to unions, especially teachers unions that have choked our schools to create an environment to teach kids to disavow their own property rights as they grow up.
What the libs either don't understand or want to ignore is that this debate is fundamentally about property rights. Are they natural rights of the individual (Tea Party), or a factor of government allowance (Obama)?
As we have seen time and again, the Libs are too close minded to even grasp the concept of how someone could reach an opposing viewpoint, which is why they are so vile in their attacks. To them, simply questioning their position is a personal attack, they they have to respond in kind. Then when their opponents throw their crap back at them they can't take it.
Sure, conservatives can be close-minded too. But close-minded conservatives tend to come from a position of you helping yourself, so it's easier to ignore opposing viewpoints. The lib philosophy of government control requires power over others, hence the Alinsky ridicule tactic to beat them into submission.
Anyway, get ready for whatever blitz Olby has in store with that 60 year low tax number.
Back to the subject of Olby's MLB blog. As expected, he deleted the comment slamming MSNBC's lack of minority hosts. For preservation, I therefore post these two additional beauties that may be targeted for violating Olby's dubious sense of logic:
"I am struck by the irony.
I always thought that the beauty of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, or any other triumph of racial desegregation was the fact that we were looking past race, and just looking at people as individuals.
Counting up the number of black players on a roster seems completely opposite of what we are supposed to be striving for. It just seems like a very racist point.
"We should have more black people on the team" is a shockingly racist sentiment. But nobody seems to realize that.
So, basically. Ok. There are fewer black American ball players than there used to be. So what? If there's no discrimination taking place, I don't see what the problem is.
By gc051360@live.com on April 16, 2010 12:46 AM"
"Anybody know the number of minorities currently hosting a show on msnbc?"
By jpage08 on April 16, 2010 2:51 PM
I wonder if Olby understands that he is being called a hypocrite, or if he just doesn't care.

^ I agree with this statement.
Fairly logical isn't MK? What will you think if Olbermann deletes it?
Looks like he left that one but he deleted the one about minorities at MSNBC
That gc comment was from me. I am a big baseball fan, and I hate when I hear all that racist BS.
Also. To America47000. Another thing liberals overlook is that increased spending today, results in increased taxes tomorrow. The "taxes are low right now!" argument is so incredibly shortsighted.
If the government spends trillions and trillions of dollars, it is not stupid for a person to conclude that taxes will be going up at some point.
Also. This may just be my biased conservative side talking but I hate the way liberals act as if they own the intellectual side of the debate. They don't. The policies of high regulation, high tax, centralized government, heavily unionized policies simply do not work.
The example I love to bring up is Texas vs. California. How can any liberal claim to have intellectual high ground given what is happening in Texas right now, and what is happening in California?
Uh-oh, MK. You're agreeing with evil right-wingers. ;)
I've gotten into a few arguments at the Daily Kos when it comes to abortion.
WPITW- It's friday and I can't come up with anything cleaver. Give me the day off okay? God knows Olby takes enough of them.
Bronze: Tucker Carlson for sponsering a tea party event through his website, which is supposed to be 'non partisan'. Olby bringing up someone being partisan? Really?
Silver: Lou Dobbs- calls him senile. Uses a Dr. Evil type voice. About Dobbs running for president. AND OLBY BRINGS UP DOBBS RATINGS!!!!! Chutzpa!!!
Gold: Boss Limbaugh- For bashing unions and the coal mining tragedy.
ANOTHER AWARD WINNING OLBY READING SOME DAMN BOOK!!!!!
Screw this, I'm going to play final fantasy VII. See you suckas Monday!
Is he devoting #1 to last night's Talking Points Memo? Video here and transcript here.
Longtime Dodgers announcer Vin Scully......
"I remember in spring training of 1950, and traveling with him was quite an adventure. We would play in the Deep South, and the black fans would come by the numbers in these small ballparks, and they would be standing in the roped-off outfield," Scully said Thursday night.
"And when Jackie would be shagging flies or taking infield, he was very sensitive to the behavior of the black fans. Some of them overcelebrated his arrival, and Jackie was quite upset at them and would lecture them: 'This is not what it's all about.' And it was remarkable that he could do that, still play and play well," he said. "But he was so socially aware of the attitudes and the behavior of the black fans. It had to be tough for him. He received threatening letters and all that stuff."
Something tells me that if Mr. Robinson was around today, he would be lecturing Mr. Olbermann. on baseball roster quotas.
BTW: It might be Vin Scully's last year broadcasting for the Dodgers. If you want to here one of the truly all time greats broadcasting a televised game (he pretty much only does home games now.) It's well worth a one month subscription on MLB.
#5A: President Obama takes a shot at Tea Partiers; says they should be thanking him. As OlbyFans would say, fail. The Wolffe Man showed up.
#5B: Ha-ha, Fox News ordered a Sean Hannity Tea Party event canceled. Eric Burns of Olby's #1 blue blog source not named Daily Kos reveled.
#4: Video title: "GOP pledges to block financial reform." Oh, those evil Republicans. They're in the pocket of the corporations and the insurance companies and the oil companies. Chris Hayes discussed.
Oddball: Mascot fall down, go boom. (Those are my words, not his.)
#3: Happy National Health Care Decisions Day. Video title: "Same-sex couples given more hospital rights." I think that's good. And if I'm gonna agree with Keith Olbermann and his guest Nathan Kottkamp, I'm gonna have to ask myself to step outside.
#2: See Syvyn11's comment.
#1: Thurber Bowl III.
To answer my earlier question, no, he didn't attack his Olbsession. He went after Tuck, Sweet Lou, and El Rushbo in WPitW and had the third running of the Thurber Stakes in #1. I'm on a roll with the sports references.
Rebecca Lobo was on celebrity Jeopardy today.
Just thought I would throw that out. During the meet the contestants segment, she revealed that ESPN is giving her a big fat contract too. I Wonder how Keith feels about this.
She was on yesterday. Neil Patrick Harris won.
Mike,
My local syndication schedule must be off, my DVR recorded it today. Looking at the wiki page, I had no idea that Olby himself appeared on the show twice. It comes as no surprise he lost both times. The really odd thing is that the charity from his 1998 appearance apparently specializes in treating leprosy patients in India. Too bad Bob Costas kicked his ass.
Once again, KO cleared up the misinformation regarding death panels while pointing out Sarah Palin's hypocrisy.
Does this man ever not talk about himself? Within the last 20 twitter posts, we have three references to his appearances on The Soup (which I no longer watch because of him) along with a reference to his numerous "cameos" (his words, not mine) on the The Daily Show and and The Colbert Report.
Not only that, it appears that Olbermann has been duped by the personal smear against Hannity which said he was pocketing money from his charity concerts. We have two specific references to how he only flies on private jets with Oliver North and he runs "a charity where Hannity keeps the money". Olbermann is lucky he lives in a country where the free speech standard is so high that it's impossible for a public figure to win a libel case. Freedom Alliance has already opened their books from 2008 and debunked this.
http://www.freedomalliance.org/images/pdf_and_largepics/freedom_alliance_response.pdf
MSNBC: the PLACE for POLITICS.... or unsubstantiated smears about the charity donations of others.
Anyone get a load of the love fest over at Lobo's stalker twit page? When he's not taking pics of him at baseball games, or with "celebrities", or quoting Whitman or Proust, he's commiserating with his peeps about what a pussy Bill O is (don't mind the lack of proof or anything, his lemmings need none) and or wishing 16 year old's happy b days!
I couldn't help but to ask if the 16 year old was a mashed up bag of meat with lipstick on her. Granted, pretty rough, but nothings too witty or good for Fat Ass's lemmings.
http://twitter.com/MSDNCTeabaggers
In an all-time WPITW pot and kettle moment, Queef criticizes Dobbs about lack of viewership, while pumping up his MASSIVE (24,000 LOL) Twitter following, 2/3 of which are detractors and Olbywatchers who call him out on his BS and get banned by a true champion of free speech. While I don't like Palin, Sissyboy has absolutely no business calling her or anyone else out on there hypocrisy. Matthew 7:5 must have been a prophecy about Bitchboy: You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. (Matthew 7:5)
Amen!!!!
Just got done visiting Olby's Twitter page....I swear to God that is the funniest stuff I have ever read. I pray that MSNBC/Comcast continues to let him tweet because it is absolutely priceless.
And MK, if you're gonna agree with sovietcolonel, I'm gonna have to ask you step outside.
(NOTE: I use that line because Olby uses it and I hate it.)
Shameless plug folks, but it helps put into words what I think we've all been seeing nightly, or on a bit by bit basis... Whatever our stomachs can handle.
http://msdnc.blogspot.com/
MK is an Olbyapoligist, so I hope you were joking Mike C. since at no point in my previous post would someone like MK or any other person that carries water for Olby agree with me, other than it is the truth.
Well Played KOlby! Enlightening and entertaining, which is more than I can say for the excrement spouted by Dobermann and his little brother Madcow.
Going back to #3.
Obama's 'order' to hospitals letting same sex couples have visitation rights. I don't think Obama can do that. He isn't king/god yet, his word isn't law. He has to get this through congress, just like any other bill. You'd think the world's smartest man would know that. But Obama isn't that smart.
Just joking, Sovietcolonel. Don't worry. :)
np MC. I can't stand looking @ Keith's twitter. Aside from the fact I have no I idea what the # means. I'd rather search the comments people send to him rather than his gay responses, ego puffing, and lies about the so called conservative/closet liberals archnemeses Bill-O, Rush, et al. I don't care for Rush or Palin or the phony conservatives. I'm more on the Savage/Alex Jones wavelength but am more entertained by MSNBC, especially KO's and Matthew's absolute obsession with the Tea Party and the racial demographic of it.
It is nice alot of people are starting to bring up Comcast and the possibility they will fire his lardass. He doesn't respond to those posts, however. He has found his calling though, the lame comeback/#beseeingyou block combo would definately make Sportscenter's NOT top 10.
Apoligies for the rather schizophrenic post.
Fox Haters Week in Review!

Looks like the lying weiner Edward R. Olbermann is doubling down on his attack against Hannity. From yesterday, he tweeted (in reference to Hannity)
"this could be the tweet of the day - he's as phony as a three dollar bill he accepted for charity and then kept"
This dope can't even get his smears right. Nobody ever actually accused Hannity of pocketing the money from Freedom Alliance, the worst accusations were that he was charging personal airfare and the fund itself wasn't giving out the money supposedly promised. Both of these have been subsequently proven false, the author of the original hit piece even retracted the story after Freedom Alliance and Sean Hannity both released the documents disproving it.
http://spectator.org/blog/2010/03/19/did-schlussel-smear-hannity
You know an attack is on shaky grounds when Media Matters wouldn't even run with it, but that doesn't stop the new Murrow from digging it up and repeating it! And it's not like this is a mistake where he didn't know what he was tweeting about, this is at least the fourth reference made over the weekend.
In addition, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Keith every actually bringing this story up on his show. I am fairly certain the MSNBC producers specifically forbid him from doing so, but it sure didn't take long from him to get it up on Twitter.
This one is hilarious:
Alexis9091: "New CBS poll states people in the tea party are more educated and wealthier than Liberals...."
Keith's response: "OBVIOUSLY! TPs don't pay taxes!"
Huh? I thought Olby was on board with Obama about spreading the wealth around. How do the "wealthy" TPs avoid paying taxes when they make more money than the average citizen (per the poll)?
Another delusional moment in the bizzaro world of Olby logic.
A good article over at Newsbusters about a Washington Post reporter who attended a Tea Party rally in D.C. last week.
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gladnick/2010/04/18/liberal-wapo-columnist-attends-tea-party-rally-discovers-refreshing-ra
Robert McCartney stated, "Based on what I saw and heard, tea party members are not seething, ready-to-explode racists, as some liberal commentators have caricatured them."
"Commentators on MSNBC and elsewhere have called the movement racist and likened it to the Klan...I didn't see evidence of racism at Thursday's rally. A sign read: "Not prejudiced. Not racist. Not violent. Not disenfranchised. Not silent anymore."
No wonder Katy left him. Her Prada shoes were made for walkin'. Too bad FatAss bought them for her.
$3 bills who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Just sayin', FatAss.
