According to his twitter account, he will be talking about perjury in relation to......SARAH PALIN!

Only this jerk would find a way to demonize somebody who was testifying as a victim to a crime. Of course, with Keith leveling such a serious claim tonight, I fully expect the justice department to haul Palin in for questioning. Oh, wait.... everything he will mention tonight will probably be a character assassination smear. Hey Keith, remember how you didn't show up to work when Clinton actually did commit perjury? And he was actually in office when it happened!

According to his twitter account, that segment won't be the only nugget of derangement on Meltdown. He will be calling on all Americans to boycott trips to Arizona, and he is also plugging another segment of Tea Time! Can you feel the anticipation?

Surprisingly, Olby also responded to somebody on his Twitter account who sent him the video that Broliath posted today. Of course, he deflected the actual accusation that he is hypocritical windbag, and instead turned into an attack on gun owners.

Is Keith's next baseless attack going to be an expose on the 2nd Amendment? Stay tuned, Olbermann will be dictating who should and shouldn't have gun rights. Thank you fearless leader, Markos and Chris Hayes will be hanging on every word.

I must say, I am pumped for tonight's hour of spin. Chrissy Mathews just handed off to Countdown by using Avatar as a reference to how evil humans are, then used Avatar as an attack on the illegal immigration law.

And now Keith is screaming about how Arizona will lose the 2011 All Star game. What's his evidence that MLB is actually considering this? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Nice work there Edward R. Olbermann. This guy is worse than the 9/11 truther nuts. He makes these stupid statements which obviously imply that MLB is considering moving the game from Arizona, then falls back with the old "Hey, I was just raising a question!" defense when it becomes clear MLB had no intentions of moving the game.

Not only that, his perjury accusation has been leveled on Palin. Keith is claiming that Palin used her personal email account for business when she stated she didn't when she testified. Unfortunately for Keith, "business" has a very vague legal definition. In addition, the actual content of the emails in the account is completely irrelevant here, the charge deals with identity theft where Palin was the victim. It really doesn't come as a surprise here that Keith is attacking the victim here, it wouldn't surprise if he called the hacker a hero to the American people later tonight.

Another classic on the Twitter report today. Olbermann indirectly repeats the lie that Beck has had a huge ratings drop by posting the tweets of his followers making the claim. There were also some attacks that Beck should buy more gold before he goes broke. Perhaps Olbermann should look in the mirror when it comes to falling ratings, he actually does fall below the 1 million mark on a regular basis.

Edward R. Olbermann's attack on Palin fails because of one simple reason; they haven't released the court transcript which Olbermann claims contradicts the content of the emails. What did he actually say to preface his attack?
"In summarizing Palin's testimony in Knoxville Tennessee last week, a REPORTER (my emphasis) wrote that she denied using the personal email account to conduct gubernatorial business"

Ladies and gentleman, the new Murrow! A man who isn't afraid to go live with an attack without actually seeing the court transcript he thinks he is quoting. Where did he pull most of this attack from? The dialogue box on screen references Palingates.blogspot.com, a personal blog purely dedicated to attacking Gov. Palin. If you go to that website, the author openly admitted that they even got the story incorrect the first time due to not having a court transcript. Their solution was to call the court reporter who witnessed the testimony, but still wasn't able to definitively give a word-by-word transcript.

Then Olbermann brought on David Weigel, who surprisingly pointed out the exact things I just quoted above. NO TRANSCRIPT= NO PERJURY. So yet again, Olbermann goes off on a three minute smear of Palin with complete disregard for reality. Even one of his own hack guests smacks him down, and he sits there with that smug "I don't care I'm wrong, I'm right!" look. However, he managed to call her a perjurer at least a half dozen times by constantly plugging it at the end of each segment. Why is this man still on the air, and how do even the Olby loons consider him a real source of news?

Can anybody tell me what is wrong with this article? It is merely pointing out that violence is a non-partisan issue, that there are nuts on both sides of every issue, so we shouldn't define the movement by the extreme members. Olbermann read the article as providing a defense for that Tim McVeigh wannabe who asked to speak to the president while holding a gun a few days ago. He then completely misquotes the article by implying that it would excuse the actions of Bill Ayers when he was in the Weather Underground.

Nowhere in the article does is attempt to excuse the actions of those who actually are violent, regardless of how Olbermann attempts to rewrite the authors intentions. It is merely a call for the media to stop characterizing the well-meaning intentions tens of thousands with the yet-to-occur act of a hypothetical violence from one person. I swear, this "newscaster" doesn't even read the articles he uses in his hit pieces, he just takes one line out of context to form an entire hypothesis.

Finally, my last post for tonight after my marathon live-blogging session of Meltdown. After giving Sen. Grassely WPITW for his quotes regarding limitation of Medicare cuts in health care reform, Olbermann implied that Grassely was taking credit for the passage of the bill. This of course is false. Grassley was referring to one of the "hundreds of amendments" which Democrats claim Republicans added to the bill. Remember how Keith constantly bitched about how the Republicans had all of this input into the bill but then screamed partisanship come the final vote? Grassely actually just partially validated those original statements by claiming the Republicans were able to slightly lower the projected cuts to Medicare during the amendment process, but Edward R. Olbermann ran with quote as if Grassley was taking credit for the entire package.

BLAH.

All I heard, was Olby ADMITTING there are death panels.

That's more Olbypocrisy, Syvyn11. Two months ago, he was screaming that they're life panels. It's a life panel!

As I told my Aunt (professional victim and a democrat to the end), you can call it any damn thing you want! I haven't actually watched an episode of Countdown since Olbermann's extended absence in March and I was starting to wonder what I missed. Apparently what I was missing is a migraine since that is now what I have. Stealing Mike C.'s format here's my impression of tonight's show.

How is this racist? The law specifically states that you can only ask for identification during "lawful contact" which prohibits cops from just walking up to random people and asking for papers. Will Olby correct his blatant lies or will he continue with the "reminiscent of mid 20th century Europe" euphemism for Nazism?

#5b Howard Fineman doubles down on the covert Nazi comparisons of the new Arizona law. I wonder if he bothered to read the law (only 17 pages) before commenting on it, my guess is no.

#4 Sherrod Brown, makes me sad I'm from Ohio. Brown and Olby agree that a bi-partisan filibuster is all the Republicans fault. Fact is that Dodd and Shelby were close to a compromise deal but the Dems wanted to try to get some easy political points by forcing a vote on a bill before it was ready. Also the bill before the Senate gives the POTUS a $50 billion slush fund and does not tackle the financial disasters that are Freddie Mac and Fannie may. Without reforming those two corrupt institutions any attempts to prevent another financial situation like that in 2008 will be useless.

Yankee VP tells Obama to enjoy the trophy, might be the last time he gets to hold one, Obama replies that is why other teams don't like the Yankees. Both statements are absolutely idiotic, first whoever wins this year will most likely get a Whitehouse invite (whether it's the chi-sox or not) and second people hate the Yankees because they are the Yankees, not because they make stupid comments to Obama. Olby's an idiot.

#3 Olby invites David Weigel on and the first words out of Weigel's mouth are "Olby you ignorant slut, there's no perjury and this is not a real story". Olby's reply? "Umm, I got this OCD situation with Palin so you mind if we pretend it's a story anyway?" To recap - four kids facing no charges for going into a senator's office is worthy of a full week of GE shareholder's time, another kid facing 50 years in jail for hacking a VP-candidates email during an election deserves praise as an American hero.

Twitter! What the hell is this, Olby reads twitter messages? When did this start? This is just sad, kind of like when he uses anonymous comments on blog posts to attack a conservative rep. SO what were the tweets? Beck is down in ratings, like almost 4%! Wait, Olby is down 42% over the same time period? Is this guy brain damaged to use this as an attack on Beck?

#2 Worst, and the winner is anyone dumb enough to watch this crap (and I am including myself here). Stephen Baldwin is teased all episode and then we find out some Christian group is raising money for him but they are not affiliated with Baldwin. So the real Stephen Baldwin isn't involved but Olby doesn't care, he has a chance to bad mouth someone he disagrees with. I really don't understand what motivates this man.

#1 Stephen Hawking is the smartest man alive! Forget that most of his theories have been debunked by real physicists in Olby world what Olby doesn't understand is just proof of how smart Olby is. Anyway, someone says aliens coming to Earth will be like Columbus coming to the Americas, the aliens will eat us all just like Columbus and his men ate all the American Indians, yum yum yum! Once again Olby shows his ignorance on history by not realizing that Columbus's coming to America was bad in that it brought European diseases, not viscous man-eating Spaniards. As an * on #1, Olby but forth that Dennis Rodman is an alien and as a middle aged white man I can say from experience that when middle aged white men call a black man an alien they are really making a racist euphemism.

Adam Baldwin isn't a Baldwin brother nor related to them, so in the end we're all winners. lol
