It's too bad A-Mess-NBC has cracked down on Joe. Because it would have been fascinating to hear what Scarborough would have said if he didn't have to worry about Edward R Olbermann demanding that he be kicked out of 30 Rock. The clip from this morning's broadcast:
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Discuss, resolve, and recap. Comments are open!
That clip just proves how out of touch and far off the leftwing scale people like Joan Walsh are. Wasn't her :o expression priceless? I mean come on, you expect me to believe that dumb cow had no idea who Joe and Mika were talking about? Obviously there had to be some sort of conflict or Joe would have said who he was thinking about. Ms. Walsh is not only out of touch politically but also has absolutely zero common sense. However, I doubt that statement comes as any great shock to loyal Olbywatchers.
There are only like a handful of liberal commentators to begin with, when you think of leftwing bombthrowers I can only think of two names come to mind, Oralmann and the other fatass on MSNBC Ed Schultz. I don't count the scrubs because they have even less of an audience than these two insidieous slanderers. I think Schultz is more of a bomb-thrower, but he gets some points in his favor because he at least has the sack and is not scared of his own (very large) shadow and not deathly afraid of confrontation like Keithy is. That being said, Schultz will at least take opposition on face up, not via twitter or Daily Kos blog. Without the prompter he would be as lost, maybe more lost than he is in the bedroom.
Anybody else notice how Olbermann's twitter account has gone unused for 18 hours now? He was pumping out 20 tweets an hour nonstop for about 2 weeks, now he has gone silent. Since he obviously has nothing better to do than waste time posting there, I am going to guess that MSNBC may have told him to put a lid on it.
Well, his response to people posting evidence of black teapartiers (of which he said there were none), is to basically ignore it. Worse, actually. After already making fun of one black teapartier (calling her an idiot for going to a tea party), he then said even if there are blacks at the tea parties, there aren't enough
"Yep. 6 black people out of 25k proves no racism"
And when one follower asked if these black people could be actors paid to attend, Olby replied:
"The idea that they found 6 people thus erasing all racism, is far sadder if they (sic) people are real, not actors" (Note the typo he made, since he likes to make fun of his hecklers' spelling when he can't refute them).
What's his point with this one? That it's sad that black people are going to the tea parties, which to Olby implies they are acting against their interests? It's sad that people think racism isn't as big of a problem because blacks go to tea parties (or, similarly, that some blacks might think for themselves and not with the rest of the voting bloc)? Or is it sad that racism isn't as big a problem as it used to be?
Remember that Democrats need racism to exist in perpetuity, thus giving them a reason to exist (and apply more government regulation to 'get ride of it'). Affirmative Action, for example is far more damaging as a racist ploy than anything Olby can claim the teapartiers can do.
More insights into Olby's (limited) mentality with this gem:
"This bad reporting http://tinyurl.com/y7wknrh is why Comcast issued statement about its non-involvement in Kelsey Grammar's Hatefest"
He's referring to the RightNetwork, an upcoming conservative-themed network. You'd think Olby would welcome the concept of free speech and capitalism, being a journalist in America, right? Oh wait, this is Olby, who is neither a journalist nor a capitalist. Even before it is on the air, he calls it a Hatefest. Based on what? All he knows about it is it is "conservative." That's it. Thus, Olby equates any and all "conservatism" with hate. Automatically. So the Tea Party isn't just another example of conservatism, it's really an excuse for Olby to bag the whole concept of not agreeing with Liberals on anything.
Exactly the kind of objectivity journalists should strive for, isn't it?
So much for freedom of opinions of MSNBC. Be critical of Olby and what? Joe would be fired or suspended? I guess Joan being on the Hour of Spin so much she'll never speak ill of her lord.
What a spineless coward. And just so we're clear I'm talking about Scarborough. Grow a pair and if they fire you you're free to get a real job.
Who knew Chong was in Congress? Ironic they had him on today, it being National Weed Day and all. Arizona should pull him over by the way he looked, I thought he had a couple of lids on that outfit he was wearing? And of course Bathtub Boy was pushing him on and on, keeping up the fight. Yeah, good luck on that doughboy.
And who besides me really knows and cared about who Dorothy Height was? I mean I'm sorry she passed, (98 yrs is a good life) but they had her up into this "Rosa Parks" status, too stupid.
I loved when Obama finally snapped last night and told a heckler "you wanna come down?" The person should've called him up on his bluff and walked up there. Now of course if Bush had said that, the liberals would've been all over it, but of course, they were all praising him like he had stones, which he doesn't. It's a good thing he's out in about 2 1/2 yrs, hurry...hurry...hurry.
Tea Time- Blah, blah blah! Racism racism racism!
Really screaming "Racism" is the new 'screaming "Fire" in a crowded thearter'. Or did I say that last night.
Brought to you by Playtex 18 hour girdle, the only girdle that can hold back Keith's big old gut! IT'S THE WPITW ABSTRACT, where facts don't matter.
Bronze: Chris Christy- For pay
Silver: Revolution Muslim for threat to Parker and Stone for South Park. And Comtempary family services for denying a child to a Muslim woman for "not having pork in the house". Hell, I wouldn't let her have the kid either, SHE'S A MUSLIM!!!! Sorry, but every example of religous violence is made by one religion, The so called religion of peace Islam. I hope Parker and Stone do show Mohammad just to piss muslims off! And if anybody doesn't like what I'm saying, I'm IN THE BOOK!!!! Bring it!
GOLD: Beck-0 (with audio) - talks about "The Plan!!!!" For using a Ghost writer called GOD! What a asshole! Really, just because you and your butt buddy Bill Marah don't beiieve in God, doesn't mean everybody shares your little belifes.
Another girdle ruined by Olby!!!!
#4: Open border Arizona Congressman.
I'm sure I'll get jumped on about this, and it will probably be deleted so I better hedge my bet and spread the hate around to Olby some also.
I was gonna slam in Beck and his God talk as apostasy and heresy for his beliefs, of course Beck being the conman he is doesn't realize when he himself is being taken in since good conmen believe they can't be conned themselves.
That being said...if I have to hear about the Tea Parties being white from anyone on MSNBC, Matthews and Olbermann I'm gonna smash my TV. Talk about beating a dead horse well into it's next lifetime. Their position on the matter wouldn't stand the test of Beck's almight "Anvil of Truth". Even Big Fat Ed has become more creative than those two when it comes to racebaiting. Hugh Hewitt called him a joke and of low intelligence. Classic!!!!!!
Cjflan32 is right, Joe S doesn't have the sack to call out his colleague. So what if you lose Morning Joe, no one's watching anyways. Mika will still be around for your WABC radio show there Joey. If they did fire him, maybe Kelsey Grammer is looking for commentators on The Right Network, you know the one Comcast has nothing to do with.
I used to laugh at Countdown, in the past I found it rather hilarious. Now it has jumped the shark and I now know how to spot early onset Alzheimer's/Dementia in loved ones. The rhetoric and logic is so far beyond the pale even Christopher Hayes, Wolffe-man, et al. have to be rolling their eyes at times when the red light goes off. No sane person can be on the same page as KO 100% of the time. I mean they don't even nuance the arguments they just agree in lockstep. Why doesn't he just ask himself those penetrating questions. The answers would be no different.
RE: Bronze from last night's WPITW--see syvyn11 at 8:54 pm
The following is the story that Keith was referring to. Gov. Chris Christie in fact is doing the right thing.
http://tinyurl.com/y6tqkol
Hat trick to Ann Coulter
http://www.anncoulter.com/
In fact, as Ann points out, this is an argument for Gov. Cristy to run for President.
Keith's segment with Kos showed up in the cold open for last night's "O'Reilly Factor." Specificially, the part where Markos said:
"It's one thing to oppose it on policy. It's another thing to use a kind of exterminationist, eliminationist rhetoric that they're using ..." "Also tonight, the far-left continues to brand the Tea Party as racist and there is a very specific reason why. A Factor Investigation on using the r-word as a weapon."
First it was Scarbough, now it's Donnie Deutsch:
Apr 21, 2010
It has been learned Donny Deutsch, who'd been filling in on the 3pmET
hour this week on MESS-NBC, won't be anchoring for the rest of the week
after a segment yesterday seemed to criticize his colleague Keith Olbermann.
This week, Deutsch has been calling his show "American the Angry."
Yesterday, he played a clip of various radio and TV talkers in all their
anger -- including Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann.
Adding insult to insult, Deutsch's guest, radio talk show host Hugh
Hewitt, then called Olbermann and Ed Schultz, "the biggest hate mongers
on television."
Deutsch responded, "I'm not taking the side of either one."
MESS-NBC president Phil Griffin talked with Deutsch and the show's
producer and expressed his disappointment with the segment.
An MESS-NBC spokesperson tells us Deutsch was going to be off the rest
of this week due to a personal issue.
A personal issue called pissing off her royal majesty Keith Olber-douche!
Off topic: Why do Liberals believe that being "Fair and Balanced" and having a perceived bias are mutually exclusive concepts?
Looks like Keith is playing the role of Edward R. Olbermann, M.D., on his twitter account this afternoon.
"without family history of breast cancer/colon cancer you're probably good until reform kicks in."
Thank God the doctor is in the house. Obama is probably going to be needing a colonoscopy after Keith Olbermann is done jamming his nose up there. Think health reform will cover it?

Hope Donny has has resume ready.
Here is the link from Newsbusters about the story Syvyn11 was discussing:

I'm off to Vegas for 4 days...no Olbermann, MSNBC or politics...just alcohol, gambling and buffets.
See ya Monday.
I'm insulted that Deutsch presented such a MILD example of Keith "shut the HELL up!" Olbermann's inflammatory side. You might say he did Olbermann a favor by only making him look like an arrogant jerk. On the other hand, by roundly condemning people for calling others names and treating them like they are stupid, he is perhaps unintentionally calling out Olbermann. I'm thinking that is what's got Olbermann's goat. His schtick is under attack.
And I'm insulted that he claimed Ed is a quality human being. THERE is the joke, Hewitt.
Good ole Joan Walsh put up an article in that little read magazine, Salon about what happened on Morning Joe, saying she still can't come up with a liberal equivalent to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, etc. Duh Joanie, it's freaking Olbermann and Shultz for starters! I even tweeted to her, but I guess that catchers mit of a face of hers just doesn't see it.
As for poor Donnie, he got hosed by Olbermann, who apparently is having his butt probed today and won't be on the rest of the week. I wonder if they'll find what's left of Yankee Stadium, Jason Bateman up in there? One only knows.
The segment with Open Bordermann and Rep. Grijalva ended this way:
"Congressman Raul Grijalva, *who is one of the great representatives of that state*—great thanks for some of your time tonight. Good luck with this and we‘ll stay in touch with you on it if we can." Grijalva could have gone to "The Factor," but he chose to go to a friendly echo-chamber venue.
I thought you all would enjoy this comment by Iconocast at TVNewser.
" Iconoclast 26 minutes ago
Trust me, O'Reilly has owned cable news #1 slot for over 10 years.
...Olbermann has been relegated to testicle carrier for Maddow."

Wasn't Joan Walsh the idiot who made fun of Bret Baier for saying "I tried to get the most for our buck here" in his interview with the president, asking if he was ACTUALLY implying that FOX payed one dollar to get that interview? SOMEONE on the left said it, which proves to me once and for all that they have absolutely no concept of literary devices or jokes.

Jeanene Garafalo, Bill Maher, Michael Moore, Kos, in addition to Olby and Ed
Crazy Larry filled in tonight, but that won't stop me from naming guests. It was an all-progressive lineup with two repeat guests: Sen. Sherrod Brown (D, of course-OH), Chris Hayes, Screw 'Em Kos, and Geno Robinson. Chris and Kos were both on Monday. To be fair, Bernie Goldberg made his second appearance of the week on "The Factor" to reply to Jon Stewart's retributive attack last night (much of which was shown in #1) on "The Daily Show." But this time, Leslie Marshall and Nancy Skinner were on in the next block to reply to Bernie.
No matter who the host is, the Hour of Spin doesn't play the balance game. They prefer to stack the deck. While I'm at it, One Away, Plinko, Most Expensive, and Cliffhangers.
Off-topic: I can't stand game show contestants that bid or wager $420 or $69. The average age of those people: 20. Average gender: male. Shocker. I'm sure they're also OlbyLoons. Great Thanks.
Katie Couric had a colonoscopy on the air live yet Keith Olbermann needs two days off????
Maybe it's his Doctor?

with olberloon out getting his ass reamed (two day job apparently, looks like an epic job) and duetsh and shuster suspended, looks like MSNBC is getting short on asses to fill their rant quotas, surprised they dont give mr. maddow another hr. or is it she cant hold a smirk that long?
Nancy Grace is back to kicking Keith's ass! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
ENOUGH! RESIGN!
--
This is the 195th day since the current President was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Poor Donnie Douche. Donnie might be a super Douche Bag, but Olbermann is the head Douche Bag. Funny how this happens right after Chrissy Mathews says that republicans are having Stalinist purges in their party.
He is taking TWO days off for a colon check? Didn't this windbag do nothing but bitch and moan about how Bush handed off control of the presidency whenever he had his yearly physical? And that was for something like three hours. I have never heard of somebody taking two days off for this, I think it's time to revive his attendance percentage this year. To be fair, we should exclude the three weeks he took off for his father, but even after that, he is probably only at 70%.
I would ask why he didn't have this done over the weekend, but with the rating surge that crazy Larry gets, the MSNBC executives were probably on the phone begging with the doctor's office to take him on Wednesday. Better give him Friday off too, just playing it safe you know. With all of this free time on his hands, his personal attack quota on Twitter will probably reach critical mass at 50+ an hour. EVERYBODY IN AMERICA, COME GET PERSONALLY INSULTED FROM THE NEW MURROW! Murrow went after crony politicians, Olbermann goes after anonymous 15 year kids who just finished creating their 5th account of the day to provoke him. Seems like a fair comparison. Give this man a Pulitzer.
Hannity had one done in a morning and was on the air that afternoon for radio and on TV that night. Butts and guts Keith.
Hey brad90956, remember. You're best bet is the craps table. Just saying. When I was there last Christmas, I turned $40 into $300 in about a half a hour. Literally giving away money there.
But now the real posting.....
By Hugh Hewitt
"MSNBC's decision to dump Donny Deutch as an anchor following a show which
featured me as a guest has garnered a lot of comments.
The New York Times reports on it here. The Huffington Post here.
Newsbusters comments here and provides a transcript of the segment.
At a minimum the decision to dispatch Donny demonstrates that MSNBC is
definitely not "the place for politics," as the network has taken to
marketing itself as, but rather the place for hard-left politics only, and
of a particularly thin sort to boot.
Deutch's sin appears to have been an insufficiently vigorous defense of
Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz, two of the lightest feathers in the media
breeze.
Deutch's apostasy went so far as to include a clip of Keith on one of his
familiar rants in the same sequence that featured Rush and Glenn Beck.
Deutch's shtick this week had been "anger in America," and when Deutch
asked for my opinion on the credibility and impact of talking heads on the
political climate, I began with the obvious: Olbermann and Schultz are the
biggest hate-mongers on cable, and that before anyone on MSNBC begins to
lecture the world on how to conduct civil discourse, the physician would
have to heal himself.
When Deutch pushed back on Schultz, I made the obvious point that Ed is a
joke, a position from which I would not be moved, and to which Donny took
exception, citing Ed's "big heart" --an ironic description given Schultz's
recent rant about Dick Cheney's ticker.
(The irony of Donny waxing on anything to do with civility following his
description of Marco Rubio as a "coconut" was also lost on the host and
his producers.)
When the segment was over, so was Donny's career on MSNBC though the ax
didn't drop until the next day. Rule #1 in MSNBC-land: Never say anything
bad about Keith or Ed or allow a guest to voice an unflattering opinion
about them no matter how widely shared across the country.
And there we have the reason for MSNBC's dismal ratings. For most viewers
interested in real, vigorous, entertaining debate about serious political
issues built on sustained argument, there is no reason to watch much of
the programming on MSNBC as there are few dissenting voices from the
uber-left ideology ruling there. The hard left will watch for ratification
of their views, but the daily exchanges are so lopsided and rigged, the
censorship of the opposition so extreme, that most of the potential
audience long ago left for Fox, where a lefty viewer will find a Mara
Liasson, a Juan Williams or someone from the left side of the political
spectrum and, crucially, they will be given a chance to make their points
and they will be treated with respect. When Sean Hannity brings together
his "Great American Panel" every night, to cite another example, there
will always be at least one informed lefty who will be given ample
opportunity to make his or her points. Bill O'Reilly revels in long and
sharp exchanges with both left and right, and while he of course sets the
tempo and the agenda, he never denies his guest the opportunity to make
the key points in their case.
This is good programming, and it is the reason why lefties are welcomed on
my radio show week in and week out. It builds audience and entertains even
as it informs.
This is simply --objectively-- not the case on most of MSNBC's
programming, and the minuscule audience that follows it presently will not
grow and cannot ever hope to catch Fox as a result. There are still some
journalists appearing on the network worth watching --Howard Fineman,
Chris Cillizza, Jonathan Alter, and Chuck Todd to name a few who, no
matter what their politics are, remain pros with good information to
convey-- but their numbers are dwindling and their personal brands are
increasingly at risk simply because of their association with a
one-dimensional hyper-partisan echo chamber that refuses to recognize much
less debate with much of the American mainstream.
What is most amazing is that execs at the network are resigned to losing.
They obviously don't believe they can ever catch up to FNC, much less ever
produce a product that could win a ratings contest with the lineup that
Roger Ailes engineered.
Dumping Donny under the bus because of a few seconds of video or six
minutes of conversation with me underscores the extreme insecurity of the
left when confronted over the nature of their discourse or the quality of
their arguments. It also signals that MSNBC has embraced their inner
loser. "
Olbermann's lack of manliness is so disappointing even detractors have to be disgusted. It's not like he ever had anything up there the little sissy he is. Reading MS. Walsh's article in that rag Salon just reinforces how these people think they are in the mainstream. Even Crooksandliars knew who Joe and Mika were talking about. Joan obviously wasn't watching Donny's segment even though she appeared on Screwball not two hours later that day.
I didn't watch the show yesterday. But the Geico voice-over guy got fired for mocking the tea party.
O'donnell criticized the company for not respecting freedom of speech.
I thought that was funny, given how Keith reacted to anyone claiming "freedom of speech" in the case of Carrie Prejean.
Wondering what the poor Doctor ever did to have to be anywhere near Olbertards orfice? and also how would one tell his mouth from his large posterier as both spew the same product? maybe based on some volumn calculation. Just glad it isnt me
To be fair to Olby (I know, I know), but Olby would be useless the day before the colonelcy. The bowel prep (which I had to do three times), you take it before noon that day, you drink 4 oz. every 15 minutes. Within a hour, you are running to the bathroom every 10 minutes and everything in your colon and intentness and bowels are released VIOLENTLY! But two day? That's a new one on me.
Just put it on there for a second and FAT ASS MICHAEL MOORE IS ON!!! About wall street greed. Almost puked up my dinner while I was eating it. Hey, Mikey! If greed is so bad, why don't you A) Divest yourself of all your holdings and B) make all your movies avalibe FREE! Don't think either is going to happen.
To Mikey, it's a world of haves and have-nots, and he rather have us be in the have-nots, but he can be in the haves.
While this thread is still current, I want to make this comment:

What a spineless coward. And just so we're clear I'm talking about Scarborough. Grow a pair and if they fire you you're free to get a real job."
I agree 100%. My only quibble would be that I would instead call Joe Scarborough a gutless coward.

The heart and soul of the place for politics, right?
MSNBC, the place for propaganda.
A Story I doubt you will hear about on Countdown Tonight

Not so sure Scarborough and Mika were not the more clever duo here.
We got to see Salon "editor-in-chief" and, therefore, Salon unmasked as know nothing robotons. And the extended play and echo through the media was "priceless".
Far more attention than could be had by stating the obvious outright. And he did it in such a way that Olby, MSNBC and the rest can not contradict without replaying the whole awkward exchange.
Bee-uuu-tee-ful !!
