Yes the very notion of anyone in the melanin-challenged MSNBC lineup complaining about segregation or diversity is the utter height in self-unaware irony. But A-Mess-NBC is on a mission, and since Keith Oralmann runs the station, he's leading the charge. Racist! Kook! Loser! Watch for it tonight as Krazy Keith kicks off his smear-fest with ultra-leftist David Corn and that crack analyst of American politics, the Brit who is Pinocchio to Olby's Gepetto: the Wolffe Man. Oh and you won't want to miss the ultimate in compelling television: three fables from the overrated James Thurber--like Harry Potter and bubblegum cards, another indication of Edward R Olbermann's stubbornly arrested development.
Since KO fancies himself an ace wordsmith he's already crowing about the oh-so-clever line he will spew on tonight's Hour of Spin: "Enjoy Rand Paul while you can." Yes, he swears he wrote that himself. Such brilliant discourse Shakespeare could only aspire to. We'd better get a telegram off to the Pulitzer committee right now. They don't want to miss this.

We know the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann has a peculiar relationship with our canine friends. For example there was that night when Olby had to leave a woman's apartment because he was convinced her dog was talking to him. OlbyPlanet is a place where dogs may talk, but don't bark. And the dog that didn't bark last night was predicted right on these pages by brad90956:
His name is Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat and Connecticut's Attorney General who is running for the US Senate. He claimed he served in Vietnam but obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war. In at least eight newspaper articles published in Connecticut from 2003 to 2009, he is described as having served in Vietnam. Will this candidate make the WPITW list or will Olby refuse to cover the story? I think we all know the answer to that question. Instead, Olby will dedicate the segment to Sarah Palin, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Fox News. What a "journalist".
Sure enough, while Blumenthal was headline news everywhere else, his name never even came up on The Hour of Spin. Another Dog That Did Not Bark. What stories will prove to be tonight's quiescent canines? Here's our sneak peak of what Oralmann has in store:
Hmm. GE benefits from green energy programs, will make a bundle on Cap & Trade. Is pushing this agenda some sort of Conflict of Interest for A-Mess-NBC? What, how dare you impugn the ethics of Edward R Olbermann?!? For that crime you are sentenced to having to recap Monkeymann's sixty minutes of chicanery. Comments are open!
We wrote about how little it took to get blocked by @KeithOlbermann, and told you how many people have been banned from Oralmann's Twitter presence. It shouldn't surprise you that it's still going on:
He was tweeting so many people-and it seemed like he would be on for hours. I swear, I was one of the first people to tweet him. I tried to let him know that I was a huge fan-no response. I tried my unique brand of humor-no response. I looked at who he was tweeting and quickly realized that he like to tweet cute white girls, so I created an account-@OlbermannsBrain and had an avatar of a chick with really big "ta-ta's" I tweeted him, and he responded-by blocking me....In my last attempt to get a response from Keith I tweeted him this,
"Ha! @KeithOlbermann is getting his ass beat in the ratings by @CNNCampbell"
It provoked a response from Keith that read,
"Keith Olbermann @shaggieshapiro ah I see the problem. You think 150 > 250?
I was so happy! This was it! Mission Accomplished, well it was until I found out that the tweet I sent him got me blocked. I mean, come on-I was blocked because I jokingly said that Campbell Brown was beating him in the ratings???? Campbell Brown's ratings are in the toilet, and if he took the time to read my profile-or my tweets-he would know who I am. But, maybe he just didn't like what he saw.
After all the years I defended him-from all the wingnuts who said the problem with Keith is that he puts people on his show that agree with him-no dissenters. For years I was proud to carry the "Olbermann Kool-Aid", and this is how I get treated? He has ruined my experience, and MSNBC's President Phil Griffin has too. With the absence of David Shuster, and the arrogance of Keith Olbermann I am left with no choice but to stop watching MSNBC.
Twitter is just not cool anymore. Looks like I will be hanging around Facebook. Hopefully, that douchebag won't be on there.

The head honcho of Comcast is talking about what they plans are when they take over NBC. Brian Roberts was effusive about the acquisition of NBC News, but his tone was a little more, well, cautious when the subject turned to the network's illegitimate offspring, A-Mess-NBC:
Playing devil's advocate, former News Corp president and COO Peter Chernin asked Roberts what course of action he might take should, say, MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann begin taking pot-shots at Republican Congressmen."Let's have that conversation in 12 months when we're playing with live ammo," Roberts said, before adding that he would ensure that NBC News continued to "keep [its coverage] down the middle, whatever that means."
"Whatever that means"?!? A revealing and arguably appropriate response to the notion of putting Oralmann and "down the middle" news coverage in the same sentence. They aren't even on the same planet! With all the fulsome plaudits he bestowed on NBC the network, his squirrelly reluctance to say even one good word about the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann could prove to be very telling.

Is it satire? MSNBC's idea of Comedy Gold? Or are they seriously trying to make Countdown's one-sided guest list a feature?!? Watch MSNBC's new promo, discuss, resolve, and then recap tonight's Hour of Spin.

Keith Olbermann is having the time of his life on Twitter, but it seems like maybe he doesn't get the community/exchange of ideas/conversation aspect of it very well. Because it seems that he treats it like his kingdom on OlbyPlanet--dissent will not be tolerated. KO keeps an eagle eye out for anyone who dares tweet criticallly of him by watching for his twitter address: @KeithOlbermann. As the tweets fly by, he routinely just blocks dissenters from following his tweets, which in his diseased mind is probably like denying the Library of Congress access to the works of Shakespeare. For a while he was using the #beseeingyou hashtag to rub it in, but perhaps he realized that spectators would actually see how many people he was blocking. Sort of a numeral count of his pettiness quotient. So he's cut back on that, but he's still banning people left and right...well, more correctly stated, banning people right and right.
We didn't think our tweet was particularly controversial. We wanted to draw attention to our monthly analysis of Countdown's guests, neatly categorized by partisan and ideological viewpoints. It's nothing we haven't done before, and it's not exactly some kind of devious attack. The guest lists are right there on the Countdown transcripts page. We just go through, tally up all the names, and place them in the appropriate categories. The results for April were typical, indicative of the exclusionist approach Herr Olbermahn takes on The Hour of Spin. So we issued our tweet:
We thought we were being generous by saying it's "just a tad" imbalanced, but Edward R Olbermann didn't see it that way. He quickly responded with a tweet of his own:
Experienced OlbyWatchers will spot immediately the same sort of demagoguery that regularly appears on The Hour of Spin. First, the substance is completely ignored. The chart is based on NBC's own transcripts. The counts are accurate. So switch-hitter Oralmann drops any challenge to the truth of the chart, and pivots to a personal attack. One entirely without evidence, concocted purely from the malevolent brain of Fat Ass himself. In other words, Another Olbermann Lie. How quickly he forgets that "accusations demand evidence", when it comes to smearing someone as being on a nonexistent payroll. But concern for truth is not exactly high on the list of Olby attributes.
It was just moments later that it happened. We had been following Olbermann's tweets for weeks, but all of a sudden our access was cut off. We tried again to re-add him to our follow list, with this result:
Blocked by Keith Olbermann! Banned from being in the Emperor's Twitter Presence for daring to post a chart that told the truth! We knew Krazy Keith had some self esteem issues, and that his cowardice has kept opposing viewpoints off Countdown for years. But we didn't realize he was so insecure that he has to put up walls around a freaking Twitter account! It almost makes one pity the sniveling little weasel.
Make of this what you will. Discuss, resolve, and then prepare to recap tonight's Hour of Spin. Comments are open!
PS: Here's a twitter user who has obviously figured out the real story about johnnydollar01. There's probably a 50/50 chance that Oralmann will think this seriously true:
Watch as Beck mocks those immortal lines that still stand today as the zenith of Keith Olbermann's intellectual badinage: "You're a fascist!" The video is excerpted from a post at The Right Scoop, where you can watch a longer version that also tackles Obama's "predator drone" jokes. Watch and enjoy, watch and enjoyers:
Another month of Olbermann spin, and once again we poured through the MSNBC transcripts and tallied up the guest breakdown for The Hour of Spin. The results will not surprise you:

This is the sort of fairness and diversity of opinion that must be the envy of Radio North Korea. A few fun facts about the statistics:
Notes: Lawrence O'Donnell is a long-time strategist for Democrats though that is often unmentioned in his MSNBC appearances. Markos M says the purpose of his website is to elect Democrats and he has worked for Democratic candidates, including Howard Dean, so he is considered a 'Dem strategist'. Chris Hayes is categorized as 'liberal' based on the fact that he consistently takes liberal positions. (Duh!)
