Set the wayback machine for May 25th. That's when the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann sanctimoniously attacked Bill O'Reilly for joking about plugging the oil spill hole with members of NBC News. This shocking depiction of fantasy violence really offended Herr Olbermahn...because he didn't think of it first. Just three days later, Olby would crack that the way to plug the hole was to stuff it with BP executives:
That's how it works on OlbyPlanet. It's only wrong when someone on Fox does it. It's not even wrong when someone at the Washington Post does it--as long as they agree with Edward R Olbermann. So what if frequent Olby parrot Dave Weigel called for Matt Drudge to commit suicide by setting himself on fire?
This would be a vastly better world to live in if Matt Drudge decided to handle his emotional problems more responsibly, and set himself on fire.
No WPitW for Weigel, because Olby approves of Weigel's aims: to slant the news to benefit the Democratic Party, or when necessary to minimize the damage to the Dems, as when Scott Brown defeated Coakley:
I think pointing out Coakley's awfulness is vital, because it's 1) true and 2) unreasonable panic about it is doing more damage to the Democrats.
Hmm, does that sound familiar? It should. It's like a living, breathing example of the sort of "news" that you get on OlbyPlanet. Twisted, slanted, choreographed, and filtered. Ergo it's no surprise that Dave Weigel--out of a job, discredited, and exposed as a slovenly political hack--will be welcomed back in the Seat of Honor on tonight's Hour of Spin. Along with Crazy Larry, The Perfessor, and a Special Education Comment attacking...wait for it...Palin!
Only the diseased mind of a feckless propagandist could welcome Weigel back because he has been exposed as a partisan hack. But that's life on OlbyPlanet. Comments are open!
