Haha, Olbermann J.D. is going to pretend that he knows the law about cybersquatting and domain hijacking. If this dipshit actually did know the law, he would realize that injunctions are typically only granted when the outside party registers a domain name and sell it off for a profit in bad faith. They can also be granted if the registration of a domain name infringes with an existing copyright, like a brand name. Since you can't copyright your own name, and there is no doubt that Tucker is not intending to resell the domain for a profit, I don't know what legal footing Olbermann can stand on. Perhaps Olbermann should research the definition of fair use and how it works as an absolute defense to almost all defamation and First Amendment cases.

The Olby logic is in full force in story #5 today. Apparently, Bobby Jindal is a hypocrite for building the massively expensive sand barriers in the Gulf when he portrays himself as a fiscal conservative in the public eye. The problem with this argument? BP is fully paying for this sand project, the federal government isn't paying a dime to help. Olbermann even admitted this during the story, but he still spent an entire segment with Leonard Bahr attacking the project as being wasteful. Why is the scientist Mr. Bahr pissed? The government has done a lousy job of coordinating the different relief efforts with the science community.

So, in summary, Jindal is evil for coordinating a privately funded relief project, Obama is heroic for not having any relief projects. I would have to think even the liberals would be able to point out the holes in the #5 story today.

#4 story today was Olbermann pretending that the economy is in great shape because Obama says it is. His supporting evidence? A video of Nancy Pelosi where she says that Republicans are evil for not realizing that cap and trade and health care reform would save jobs. I have absolutely no idea how Speaker Pelosi can call a press conference and get away with that one, but Olbermann laps it up like the good liberal lapdog that he is. Olbermann then pretends that the phrase "got our groove back" can never be used in public as the film "How Stella got her groove back" apparently had a sad ending. In Olbermann land, each phrase can only be tied to a single original source, there is no way that anybody ever used the word "groove" pre-1995. Cue smug grin that accompanies Olbermann when he thinks he made a clever point.

Next in the segment was Gov. Granholm from Michigan, pretending that the Michigan economy is recovering because of Obama. Just like it recovered under Clinton, and just like it has been recovering for 30 years due to liberal policies. Olbermann turns blind eye to fact that Michigan is about as blue a state as can be, and the economy is still in horrible shape. Fill in the blanks with liberal talking points about how the stimulus wasn't big enough, and it's the Republicans fault that the stimulus doesn't work. Don't think about that one for too long.

Prior to oddball, the silently grateful Olbermann brags about his nomination for some journalism award regarding a piece he wrote about his mother's love of baseball. Not much more to say, it's not much of a shock he did it.

#3 was the attack capitalism parade with Dean Baker where Olbermann praised the new banking regulatory reform bill. Both the host in the guest perpetuate the myth that banks don't already inform their customers of the terms of their mortgage and credit cards. Mr. Baker even admits that banks were already forced to go over mortgage documents page by page prior to signing, but it wasn't "fool-proof" enough. What more do these people want? Every person who has ever held a credit card knows about the relentless customer agreement/information forms they send out on a quarterly basis. I'm sorry, if you are too lazy to read the current documentation, you aren't going to read the new dumbed down wording either. When exposed at its core, this regulatory reform isn't to protect consumers, it's to punish EVIL and RICH bank executives.

The economy is recovering? and Michigan is proof of it? Ha Ha. Anybody checking out the facts will realize what a disaster Gov Granholm has left this state is. Today, the jobless rate in Michigan shrunk, but the Detroit News explains why:

The good news: The state's jobless rate dropped by four-tenths of a percent in June, for the second straight month.

The bad news: The drop came because thousands of people decided either to QUIT LOOKING FOR WORK OR QUIT LIVING IN MICHIGAN.

He must have come to this conclusion by reading where the author of the piece calls the theory "bizarre" and a "wild claim". Looks like the new Murrow was stealing cliff notes from a liberal blog on this one, there is no way if he read the story he could have reached the same conclusion, even with his deranged hatred of the NY Post.

NOT THE SUBJECT OF CHOICE TONIGHT .... But ... Somebody get the script from the Show tonight. In his hatred and jealousy of Glen Beck did KO actually say that Glen Beck SAID it was the Jews who "killed" Jesus? Talk about KO twisting words and maliciously reading in his own meaning (trying to prove his superiority). I didn't even hear those exact words in the snipit that he aired (and I listened hard for it being alerted to it in his promo). It was inferred by KO (and he more than once actually mocked GB) for saying those exact words. I don't recall hearing him say that at all. By all accounts, the Jewish Religous leaders handed Jesus over to the Romans after arresting him insisting that he be crucified for subverting their religious beliefs. The Romans did so to satisfy the Religious Leaders even though at first the Romans offered to spare him in favor of a more deserving individual. Plus, did KO actually MOCK God and others in his attempt at humor?

Jennifer Granholm? Are you serious? You mean the same Gov. Granholm that RAISED STATE TAXES and SUSPENDED CUTS IN STATE SPENDING in 2007 when the state of Michigan was already in a deep recession? She raised state income taxes from 3.9% to 4.35% and and increased the state's tax on gross business receipts by 22%. The result...unemployment shot up in the state, the state felt its own recession before the country felt it and home values dropped faster than the national average. Also, people are leaving (and have left) Michigan at a rate of two to one.

And the same Gov. Granholm that proposed to extend the state sales tax to services before she leaves office at the end of the year.

This is the person Olbermann chooses to discuss the economy and unemployment? A tax and spend liberal who RAISED TAXES AND INCREASED SPENDING during the Michigan recession of 2007 that caused unemployment to skyrocket.

Well done, Keith. Well done.

I also haven't seen the Beck transcript the Olbermann was likely butchering to fit his viewpoint, but the quotes that he pulled from the Catholic church in the 1960s were 100% irrelevant to the claim. Even IF Beck did say that the Jews killed Jesus, how was it relevant to post a snippet from a Sunday mass where the Pope was pleading for current Catholics to drop any current anti-Semitic grudges they held? Beck supposedly made a factual statement of something that occurred 2000 years ago, Olbermann counters by the pope condemning something that happened 50 years ago. If anything, the quote that Olbermann pulled from the Pope reinforced Beck's claim, as it stated that even though the Romans were in charge, the Jews still drove up the public outcry against Jesus.

It was a weak accusation, even by Olbermann standards. If you follow the text of the Bible, it clearly points the finger at both the Jewish leaders and the Roman authorities who were trying to appease the populous. But if you know the Bible to the extent that Glenn Beck does, you would know all those who were involved in the crucifixion were forgiven from their sins, as it was Jesus' destiny to give his life. I'm not really a religious person, but I know it's pointless and petty to hate somebody just because they are firm believers in God.

I've long pointed to Michigan, and specifically Detroit, to illustrate the failures of liberal policies. Other favorite targets of mine include Cleveland, and the entire state of California.

So, kind of funny if someone is bragging about the economic policies of Michigan.

But, Keith doesn't understand economics at all. Most liberals don't. The liberal economic plan is:

1) Create an environment that is openly hostile toward business
2) ?????
3) Profit

The Olbsession played a clip (audio only) of Ben Jealous, President and CEO of the NAACP, appearing on last night's Hour of Spin (in #3). Olby's sycophantic "mm-hmm" can be heard in the clip. A check of the transcript reveals that before Mr. Jealous was on, the domainless one added to his "that woman is an idiot [Ding!]" tally.

You are correct Bobby. Detroit (and Michigan) is a perfect example of democratic liberalism run a muck.

I thought the Health Care Bill would not use taxpayer dollars to fund abortions? Obama told Congress on national television, "One more misunderstanding I want to clear up — under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions."

This week the Obama Administration has approved the first instance of taxpayer funded abortions under the new national government-run health care program, despite assurances that such funding would be prohibited through an executive order.

What's going on Keith? Care to clear this up? Bueller? Bueller?
