In the tea time segment, Keith Olbermann started with something along the lines of "if you point out that the tea party is almost all white..then you're the racist!" he said it mockingly of course, but he is absolutely correct.

If your mind is so obsessed with race that you are measuring entire groups of people based on their racial makeup, then yes, you are a racist.

It's the same type of racism that Shirley Sherrod engages in. It's the same type of racism that inspires "affirmative action" policies. It's the same type of racism that has turned the word "diversity" into a meaningless buzzword.

Also. Keith Olbermann kept tossing around the word "laundered" in relation to Target giving money to some PAC.

Either he doesn't know the meaning of the word, or he's just being a dick. Either way.....wtf?

I never understood liberals hatred of corporations. They can sometimes be dicks, but corporations don't demand a certain percentage of my income. Corporations don't tell me what I can and can't ingest in the privacy of my own home. Corporations don't tell me where I can't smoke. Corporations don't force me to wear a seat belt.

And if your complaint is corporations swaying politicians.......politicians still have to be voted on. So even if a politician is bought, he still has to win elections...at which point his presence in office is nobodies fault but the people's.

On the immigration segment. His guest tried to point out a hypocritical stance by Mccain and Kyl's viewing of the Constitution. Kyl expressed dismay over the "anchor baby" loop hole that people use when illegally entering the United States. The guest said something along the lines of "these strict constitutionalists want to go against the constitution...."

but being a strict constructionist (what I think he meant) doesn't mean you can't favor changing the Constitution. It just means you take a more narrow, literal view of what the words in the Constitution mean. So when you read the first amendment, for example, the part where congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech, you don't read that as "but corporations don't count as being protected by this".

Personally. I think there's no way to close the anchor baby loop-hole.

But man. Keith Olbermann's been away for two weeks...I think I may have forgotten what a dishonest, intellectual lazy person he is. I was reminded tonight.

Also. One final point about Arizona.

Liberals keep using the "crime is down in Arizona". Yes. Crime is down. But that point doesn't help the liberal point, because illegal immigration is ALSO down.

The economic slowdown in the United States, and Arizona (which was extremely hard hit by the housing bubble burst) has decreased the number of illegal immigrants entering Arizona.

I'm not saying that less illegal immigrants and less crime is a direct causal relationship. I'm just saying the liberals have no point on this one either.

Before you use it to avoid the actual point, I know about Red Eye being on over night and what that means concerning ratings, so I amend my last post to read "MKDAWUSS, if Countdown was on when Red Eye is, who but you would watch it?" You may not like the belittling of Olbermann here, but you really need to find someone worth defending.

Don't even start on Redeye wuss. It only airs at 3am (eastern time)and with virtually no advertisement (save for whenever one of its three regulars appear on other shows as guests) it occasionally beats CNN's prime time ratings. Your problem is that it is not a 100% left wing echo chamber. For once, why don't you take a page out of the conservative playbook and watch good entertainment even if occasionally (or even half the time) you have to overlook or just play along with certain ideas that conflict with your own. For instance, _The West Wing_ was the first television series I ever got on DVD. Hardly a conservative fantasy that.

Yeah, and for some reason, I watch "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show." All of those shows lean left and are often overly political, especially in the case of "Family Guy."

Interesting how Olbermoron times his vacation to be the same exact week as O'Reilly isn't it? O'Reilly is controlling the fools life and he doesn't even know it.

Replying to an OlbyFan ("Only one man has the ego to put his face and the president's on a book jacket w/ the word 'pinhead'"), he said: "At least he's accurate: Obama, patriot. O'Reilly, pinhead." At least 300K people watch Red Eye each night. So your silly question puts Olbermann Watch members at 300K. If I had created this site, I would be very happy with those numbers.

I think the results would be disastrous for KO. Red Eye could easily top KO's number even on his home turf at 8 pm. It's the choice of a mean-spirited, lying hypocritical ass always in a bad mood or people laughing and having fun with the news while informing.

I know that I should ignore MK who just drives by and pops off with a pea-shooter. No substance and even worse style.
