It must be galling to the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann that his hated nemesis, the Fox News Channel, actually attracts more Democrat viewers than either CNN or MSNBC. That's the kind of fun fact that just inflames Oralmann's insistence on inflicting another week of hate, venom, and aggravated misinformation on the American public. Fortunately most of them won't sit through it, but in case you will, this is the place to discuss the Orange Man and his nightly assaults on journalism.
What can we expect tonight? Well, Edward R Olbermann has another 'fair and balanced' line-up of topics and guests, as you might well imagine. Some highlights:
Tuesday's Hour of Spin:
Comments are open!
Wow! Keith is predicting the future? Let me guess his success rate for tomorrow..... ZERO!
First a Video of the day: the 25th aniversry of Super Mario Bros. So a speed run of the first game. Done in five minutes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwIEqNWykzM
Get out your DSLs and cheap scanners, It's the WPITW abstract!
Bronze: Pia Paterson, for the sin of having too much pressure. Sounds like another day at MSNBC. She feared that she couldn't eat? Why can't Keith have that fear.
Silver: Michael Steele- For the sin of opening new credit lines for Small Bussiness, then walking that back. Keith doesn't understand. So he mocks Steele.
GOLD: Newsmedia in general for omitting the fact that there is a Mosque in the World Trade Centers. So, what? Does that fact make Cordova house the right thing to do? To put up a VICTORY MOSQUE should be peachy-keen for the family of the survivors? No it doesn't Keith.
Another day of Keith Olbermann not getting it.
About #1, the higher the tea party gets in polls, the more desperate Keith will become. I don't know if it will be sweet to watch or a total meltdown?
It is kind of fun watching Olbermoron melting down when Palin endorsed candidates keep winning, LOL.
Re: Tweet of the day: SO WHAT? So what if a middle class girl buys meat to eat and a rich girl (Lady Gaga [who is a liberal]) wears a dress made of meat? THAT'S CALLED FREEDOM!!! YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE IT, BUT THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.... for now.
And Olby ragging on someones else ratings? Irony for $300 please, Alec.
Olbermann mocked Fox Business Network's ratings quite a few times from what I saw.
So.....I suppose this would be another example of Olbermann hypocrisy.
And Olbermann lacks comprehension skills if he thinks that was Fox telling the GOP guy what to do.
Also. He made a comment to the extent of "Fox News is fair and balanced, they have conservatives and Republicans on"....
which is hilarious coming from Olbermann, the guy who never has anyone from the right on. But he disagreed with Howard Dean once....so THERE!
Bashing FBN and slur to David Asman. Can you get any lower, Keithy? And what do you think that MSNBC does on a nightly basis with the DNC? I guess you're pissed that you give it away like a college cheerleader at a frat party. Speaking of cheerleaders sluts, Debbie Wassermann Schultz with the fair and balanced view.
Reminds me of a joke. What does a cheerleader does in the morning after a big game? She puts on her clothes and takes a cab back to her dorm.
See, I can go to the gutter too. But I'm actually funny.
Dear frakking gods, I can feel the headache coming now.
Tonight's threat: an attack towards BP and Ms. O'Donnell.
Get out your wi-fi and worn out sexual references to other men, It's the WPITW abstract.
Show: Inazs Sans and ALL OF US!!! For being prettier than keith? I don't know what the problem with Keith is tonight. He hates women.
Place: Bill-O; For the sin about pimping his book. Olby for some reason takes criticism of Beck-o and Rush-o as attacks.
WIN!: Bob Dudley for the sin of adhearing to the rule of law. Sorry, Keithy. We are still a nation of laws. Not of men. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities. FUCK YOU, KEITH!
Really, bitching about FBN's ratings? I bet they out do MSNBC in the 15-21 year old male (the non-existents) demo.
Did you see Olbermoron on the 9:00 election coverage? He had a look on his face like someone shit in his cornflakes. And his nephew Maddow actually made the comment that "when these Republican incumbants lose, it is anti Republican Party, not anti Democrat!". What a blithering idiot.
The O'Reilly Attack comes to OlbyPlanet from Media Matters. MM got the eeevil Fox to run an ad of theirs on FNC, seconds after Oralmann's Rip 'n Read screed.
Thanks to the early transcript (with help from my ears), the O'Reilly Attack:
>>> The runner-up tonight, Billo [Ding!]. ABC has an excerpt from his book (Ted Baxter voice): "Pinheads and Patriots," which is not to be confused with my book "Pitchforks and Torches." His book has a picture of himself above the word "pinhead." He takes shots at two major conservative figures above him in the food chain, reading, (Baxter, reading rapidly, swallowing words): "My colleague Glenn Beck thinks that the 44th President of the United States-- that might God help us resemble France. Rush Limbaugh believes pretty much the same thing, that the President is a force for pernicious change. I am not so sure this scorched-earth strategy aimed at the President is good for the country."
Hold on there, sparky [Ding!]. You're going to insult Lonesome Rhodes Beck [Ding!] and Tokyo Rose Limbaugh, I'm going to have to ask you to step outside [Ding!].
Olbermoronn just can't grasp the fact that Mr. Bill is not an ideologue and "P&P" is non-ideological. "P&T" on the other hand is hyper-ideological, and so is the author: the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann.
They'll go to any lengths to deny the victory to Sarah Palin.
If any class I had for MSNBC earlier, has now went out the window after tonight when Maddow pulls out an old piece from '92 on an MTV interview of O'Donnell about her forming an abstence club.
That has NOTHING to do with what she is doing now. It had no revealance whatsoever. And there was Maddow and Olbermann going off on the "lust" thing as they showed her supporters after finding out she was declared the winner. Talk about pathetic and no class at all.
It's dirty politics at its worst, MKP, and the commentators of MSNBC are more than happy to assist the Democrats in doing that.
Not to get off topic, but I've been watching my Twitter feed in the last hour, and I've seen tweets from people that either think these Republican Primary results helped or hurt the party's chances in November. As cynical and pessimistic as I am, I'm starting to believe those that think the results hurt them.
"If any class I had for MSNBC earlier, has now went out the window after tonight when Maddow pulls out an old piece from '92 on an MTV interview of O'Donnell about her forming an abstence club."
This coming from people who don't mind digging up decades old opinions made by Barack Obama.
I tweeted bathtub boy tonight:
@KeithOlbermann did you and rachel have to bring up an old MTV piece that quite frankly has no significance to her victory tonight? sad.
here was his "reply"
Obama's religious beliefs are your core issue. O'Donnell's looney tunes 'no touching' - out of bounds? Hypocrite much?
MK, you seem to be conveniently ignoring the fact that we don't hold ourselves up as real newsmen, unlike Edward R. Olbermann. You can't claim to be impartial while relentlessly regurgitating the same liberal attacks on conservatives. If Olbermann and Maddow just admit that they are tools of the Democrat party, I could care less how close they get to committing libel on a nightly basis. If they are going to continue calling themselves legitimate news media, then they will get held to that standard here.
Did he block you after that?
Interesting that KO and MK echo each other. Hmm.
By the way, this "[verb/noun] much?" business has to stop. I think of it in the same vein as "do me/us a solid," "for the win," "fail," and Twittermann's infamous "#beseeinyou". Outside of the last one, I was speaking in general. Snark and sarcasm are dangerous in the hands of amateurs or when the victim is someone like me.
Olbermann's response to Meerkat clearly outlines what I just posted above. Olbermann is openly admitting that his attacks on O'Donnell are similar to the attacks on Obama's religion. Ignoring the fact that no mainstream conservative actually questions Obama's faith, isn't Olbermann declaring there is no smear he won't match with an equally disgusting smear?
The hypocrisy is so blatant here, and it will be nteresting to see if MK can actually justify this.
Exactly, HS. Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz are deeply honest.
Yeah turned out he did block me. Wow - for not saying anything that bad, what a wussy.
That's what he does, MKP. I'm glad I didn't tweet him while I followed him for a few weeks. I #beseeinyou'd myself.
actually I had been following him since he opened up the account. and sent him tweets that I guess didn't get his "attention" with the exception of the last two. He let the last one pass but I guess since his panties where in a bunch tonight, he wouldn't let this one go. I decided to "block" him as well. :)

Which basically allows you to have double standards and hypocrisy. Got it.
"The hypocrisy is so blatant here, and it will be nteresting to see if MK can actually justify this."
I did with my original point. It's OK to dig way deep into a liberal's past, but you can only attack a conservative by something that was said in the past 30 seconds - anything beyond that is history and they could have changed their mind since then. If it's OK for one, it's OK for all. If the Palin kids are fair game for public criticism, so are the Obama kids...
First of all, who HERE is bringing up ANYTHING about Obama? If that ever happens on this site it is usually in relation to Olbermann.
But who's bringing up things from decades ago? Do you even know? Anyway, Obama is a young guy and has not been in politics that long, so anything he's done is not going to be that long ago.
But yeah, we're the hypocrites Mr. Olby Fan.
Get a grip man!
Wassermann Schultz: "As someone who is an occasional guest on that network (Fox News) I have often struggled to find the neutrality in the interviewers questions, at least now they are letting it all hang out there."
Obly: "Yep, they are fair and balanced, they have Conservatives and Republicans."
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Wow. Amazing. Um, Ms. Shultz, you are appearing on a show (Countdown) that does not allow Conservative/Republican viewpoints but you "struggle to find neutrality in the interviewers questions" on Fox? How do you say that with a straight face?
Then Olby bashes Fox for only having Conservative and Republicans? The hypocrisy is outstanding.
I wish I could have been there for that "interview". This is what I would have said:
"Excuse me, Mr. Olbermann. When have you ever had a Conservative or a Republican on your show?
[Crickets]
If MKDAWUSS is calling someone a hypocrite and calling out double standards then it must be true. He and his hero have had that market cornered on both those qualities for a while now.
Since we're talking about things that don't matter, I'd like to ask MKDAWUSS when his champion will get around to blaming Al Gore for what happened at the Discovery Channel building a few weeks ago.
Oh, I know the answer: Right around the same time Beck/Limbuagh does blah blah blah. Who's the hypocrite with double standards now?
I'm going back to the theory that WUSS is just a made up name from the mind of Johnny Dollar because it's impossible for someone to be this inept.
MK is still completely missing the point I was trying to make about Olbermann. Let's try it in all caps.
NOBODY HERE PRETENDS TO BE A LEGITIMATE JOURNALIST OR SOURCE OF NEWS. OLBERMANN PRETENDS TO BE AN IMPARTIAL JOURNALIST.
Where exactly is the double standard here, MK? We hold Olbermann to the standard he constantly invokes on his program and through his new tacky series of promos for Countdown. If Olbermann would just declare himself to be the obvious liberal ideologue that he is, then no double standards would exist with his relentless attacks on only conservatives. Although we may attack Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz for using shady facts, nobody here gets too upset when they go off on one of their Democrat sponsored diatribes, because they are honest about who they represent.
And before you try and claim that MSNBC doesn't consider Olbermann an anchor for real news stories, his constant presence whenever there is an election says quite a bit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity don't host election night returns on Fox, it's typically Bret Baier, Shep Smith, or some other combination of the daytime anchors. Even when Hannity is doing one of his staged "town hall" reviews of the electorate, he doesn't try to pass it off as real news.
I was only pointing out the fact that no more than when O'Donnell was declared the winner in Delaware, then Maddow comes right on and brings up this video which was made back in '96 by MTV on O'Donnell's organization SALT.
The video has NOTHING to do with the election last night, so what if O'Donnell back then ran an organization about abstence, my god that was 14 years ago!
I think it was very un-classy by MSNBC to do something like that. Then to have her and Olbermann start running with the "lust" card as they watched her supporters celebrate once the announcement of her victory was announced.
I wasn't question Olbermann's journalistic quality or really LACK of, I was just stating MY opnion.
