The Olbypocrisy just doesn't come any thicker. Oh the self-righteous moralizing from Rev Olbermann about Breitbart's video of Shirley Sherrod--an accurate clip but one that was cut off before the full context of Sherrod's story had been included. Oralmann fumed: Sherrod was 'assassinated by that scum Breitbart!' Edward R Olbermann called Breitbart 'scum' no fewer than four times in one diatribe. All for a clip that ended too soon.
Fast forward to the present. Herr Olbermahn is cackling over Bill O'Reilly's appearance on The View, and he can't seem to resist doing so on twitter:
There was more: O'Reilly hates America, falafel [Ding!], loofah [Ding!], yada yada yada. But Oralmann was clearly enjoying the moment.
Now that little jumble of letters at the end of the tweet? That's a link to a video of the segment which you can check out here. If you do, you'll notice something peculiar. After Mr Bill talks about Muslims killing Americans on 9/11, Joy and Whoopi stage a theatrical walk-off. And--boom!--the video ends there. That's all Edward R Olbermann wanted you to see.
How very Breitbartian of him. He could chose any of hundreds of clips that ran longer and/or showed the entire segment. But then his groupies would have seen O'Reilly's response, his clarification of what he was talking about, his apology, and the return of the prodigal co-hosts. The conversation continued, and even went into a second segment.
Now if somebody says something, and just seconds later corrects themselves so they won't be misunderstood...um, isn't that called 'context'? Apparently it is for some people, but those rules don't apply to Keith "Man on Fan" Olbermann. He can direct his credulous lemmings to a video that neatly leaves out what happened just seconds afterward, removes the context just like the Breitbart video did, all to satisfy his anti-O'Reilly bloodlust.
C'mon, Olby. By your own standards, you are scum. Scum. Scum. SCUM! Said four times, just like you did to Breitbart--for doing what you just did.
Scum.
Comments are open!
Remember Olby is a Alinsky type of guy. He can't live to the rules that he sets on others.
What about Koch? What about Armey? HEY GUYS! What about George SOROS? You got your money man, we've got ours. GET OVER IT! We're playing the game by YOUR RULES! In short, ANYTHING GOES and THE ENDS JUSTIFIES THE MEANS!!! Let's see how you bitches like it.
Like that pharmacist that gave you a tainted bottle of insulin, IT'S THE WPITW ABSTRACT!!!!!! The Damn vial was open already!!
Bronze: BILL-O for the view flap. SO WHAT, BILL IS RIGHT! already summarized so finely by J$, I need to add nothing.
Silver: John Racine- for saying to don't negotiate with the Iranian president. He takes the threat seriously, Keith doesn't.
GOLD!!: Chiicago Board of Elections for misspelling the Green party candidates. A computer error makes you a worst person?
I'm off this totally unwatchable crap. See you guys tomorrow.
Johnny Dollar, who cares if Olbermann did this?
I know, you need anything you can to run a hit piece on Keith Olbermann.
Sorry guys, MKDAWUSS is here and he wanted to get his two cents in.
OK, that's not true. I just figured I put in a b.s. answer because usually when Olbermann's hypocrisy is brought to the forefront it's back to Kossack Command for the resident troll.
I'd also like to point out that whoever is in charge of MSNBC right now is a complete moron.
Seven. Million. Viewers. And you stuck with the douche who's talking about gays. Again.
Lean Forward my ass.
For Oralmann, I present Mr. Bill's mailbag:
Marianne Martinovic, Port St. Lucie, FL: "Bill, not saying whether I agree or disagree, but you were the most entertaining guest I have ever seen on The View."
Toni Lanzer, Durham, NH: "Mr. O, I believe you are looking out for us but you certainly did not make your mosque comments clear enough for the ladies."
Bill's response: "Perhaps, Toni, but I am losing patience, as I said, with the political correctness here."
Steve Davies, Freeport, the Bahamas: "And the winner by a knockout: Bill O'Reilly and the majority of the people!"
Janet Yenshaw, Oscoda, MI: "It was obvious that Whoopi and Joy planned to walk out."
Bill's response: "No way, Janet. That was totally spontaneous. Nobody knew that would happen."
Joan Mintz, Venice, FL: "I said Whoopee and was filled with Joy when the ladies left the stage."
Debbie Lemke, Plainfield, IL: "Joy, Whoopi and Barbara should be ashamed of how they treated you, Bill."
Bill's response: "Now, I don't see it that way, Debbie, but I appreciate your concern. Barbara was fine; she and I just disagree on the Muslim perception. Ms. Goldberg and Ms. Behar are sincere in their beliefs; they just don't coincide with mine."
Anna Bendig, Talladega, AL: "After seeing you on the View, O'Reilly, I am going to buy Pinheads and Patriots!"
Bill's response: "Yes! That is why I was there. It was all worth it, Anna, thanks to you."
Terry Ackley, Maine, NY: "They insulted you more than once, Bill. I'd never go back."
Bill's response: "Takes more than an insult to keep me down, Terry."
Johnny Hanks, Orange, TX: "What America saw was two very far left women getting mad at the truth. Outstanding, O'Reilly!"
Mary Sullivan-Trent, Virginia Beach, VA:
"Bill, I just saw your spot on the View
And from the stage two ladies flew,
Their convictions were shaken
They were certainly mistaken,
Overall the winner was you!"
Bill's response: "Oh! Excellent, especially 'the winner was me' part. (laughing): Signed copy of 'Pinheads and Patriots' on the way to you, Mary."
The "Coutndown" webpage isn't loading videos as fast as they used to.
So, what did Keith say in the Worse O'Reilly Attack that he didn't tweet this afternoon?
First of all, if you wanna' throw context into the picture, you're now also going to have to include what Bill-O said on The O'Reilly Factor (AKA The Oh, Really? Factor, Factor Fiction, etc.), where he more or less rehashes the point that Keith-O and company criticized him for, and the reason why "Exeunt Stage Left" occurred.
You might have passed muster for criticism on "Worser," however.
As someone said the other day, "OlbermannWatch is more interested in throwing punches than landing them."
"Sorry guys, MKDAWUSS is here and he wanted to get his two cents in."
#5: Video title: "O'Donnell has 'Palin' [Ding!] moment during debate." Who better to echo this thought than Howard Anything-But-Fineman?
#4: The now-nightly Chamber of Commerce attack, combined with a Beck attack. A rank propagandist from Think Propaganda kept his appearance streak going. Look out, Cal Ripken.
Twitter report.
Oddball: A naked jogger gets tasered. Big fat hairy deal.
#3: Video title: "Big oil [Ding!] backs Tea Party." More rank propaganda from Matt Taibbi.
#2: See Syvyn11's post. Here's how the O'Reilly Attack went:
"The bronze, Billo the Clown [Ding!]. He's out selling his latest bold fresh piece of crap book, blah, blah, blah, man is allowed to sell a book, big deal. But this time on ABC's "The View," he asserted that his book proves that the Park 51 Islamic Center [Ding!] should not be built because, quote [Ding!], (partial Ted Baxter voice: 'Muslims killed us on 9/11.' And that's when for hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, it was exit stage left to the thunderous applause of the audience." Edited video at the top shown. "Lost in that, of course, is the fact that Billo [Ding!] without benefit of a script revealed himself to be just another Fox News bigot [Ding!] and Islamophobe [Ding!]. I mean, it's like asking who used to be the cleverest juvenile delinquent in a school, but now he's just parroting [Ding!] Gretchen Carlson and Glenn Beck over there. (Whispering with a pseudo-disgusted face): It's sad."
Worser was a John Raese attack, but why? Gov. Manchin's latest campaign ad has him promising to get rid of the worst parts of Obamacare and shooting a hole in a paper acting as the Cap-and-Trade bill. Wait, I know this: it doesn't matter who the D is as long as they keep their Senate majority. To wit...
...#1: Playing gotcha with Mark Kirk. Go, Giannoulias, Go!
BTW, is Mary Sullivan-Trent one of the resident poets here?
Well, Kossack, here is what Mr. Bill said on "The Factor" tonight. Oh, and about those rap lyrics in parentheses: Olby told those guys two years ago to knock it off.
I forgot to tackle Olbermoronn's "asserted that his book proves that" line. Barbara asked Bill why Obama's approval numbers are low (but right where Reagan was two years in, yes, I know). He gave his answers: economy, community center (he pointed to a CNN poll where 70% of those polled said it should be moved)...and then he didn't get to give other reasons. So, where was the part in which Bill "asserted that his book proves that" the community center shouldn't be built? He made it up. In other words, Another Olbermann Lie. Are you surprised?
is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the accusations from olby, ed and rick are getting more and more stretched and and outlandish? also, it seems their voices are more strained. i think they well realize that having thrown their lot in with obama isnt working out for them, and any credibility they once may have had is now gone? so when these gigs end (and they always do) their employment futures are slim and none, and bathtub boy is getting fatter.
Now that the midterm elections are less than 3 weeks away I am going to use my expert analysis (LOL) make some predictions:
The House: I am predicting a pick up of +52 House seats for Republicans (Republicans - 230 / Democrats - 203).
The Senate: This one is a little harder to predict. The Republicans are assured at least a 5 seat pick up with 6 states listed as toss up. I think the Republicans will take 4 of the toss ups (Colorado, W. Virginia, Nevada and Illinois) while the Democrats take the other 2 (California and Washington). This would have the Senate at 50-50 (2 Independents, Lieberman/Sanders caucus with the Democrats).
The next few weeks will be very interesting to see how the polls swing back and forth.
I am certain of this...I will be watching MSNBC on election night to witness the funeral-like atmosphere. Does anyone know if Olby will be on the air or is he still banned from covering elections. Either way it is going to be a very fun night.
"is (Olbermann) still banned from covering elections."
I thought the election coverage was why Olby is temporarily off Sunday Night Football...
Wrong Wussy, he was taken of FNiA because he was missing so much "Countdown". Not to mention that he made it suck.
What I think really needs to be considered from The O'Reilly Factor tonight is his interview with Laura Ingraham where he asked whether we have to start going out of our way to make sure we say that RADICAL Japanese people attacked Pearl Harbor and so on during WWII and when Ingraham pointed out various religiously bigoted remarks made by Joy Behar over the years. Still not a peep on that.
The truth is that the 9-11 attackers WERE Muslim, as are the people building the mosque at Ground Zero; and, justly or not, it bothers some people--people who lost loved ones on that day. WHY? Because it is not abundantly clear to some that these people at Park 51 are moderate Muslims seeking to reach out to the rest of the world. For one thing, in light of their stubborn--bordering on rebellious--refusal to relocate despite 70% of the population being passionately against the mosque being there, I would have to agree. It is my opinion that any idiot knows that their assumed purpose is now defeated and that it is therefore in their best interest to move; and because I credit them with at least a modicum of intelligence, I believe they are quite simply provocateurs.
In summary, O'Reilly was simply giving voice to people like me (in the majority). At any rate, it's the LEFT that likes to whitewash entire political movements, religions and other organizations. The rest of the country is good at making distinctions within different groups.
I know Matthews and Olby were demoted from the anchor position in 2008. The next thing I saw was Matthews and Maddow (no Olby at all) in the Massachusetts Special Election earlier this year.
I hope Olby is on the air Nov. 2nd (along with the other loons) so I can watch their collective heads explode.
"head explosions" heh heh heh ! wow! i'd pay money to see that! lets work to make it happen! vote now and vote often!
Actually MKDAWUSS the context we (or at least I) wanted to throw in was Olbermann is once again a hypocrite and you once again ignored it and dug a deeper hole for him.
And of course the big time Olbermann fan that MKDAWUSS is will surely recall his progressive champion and Tingles getting canned from election coverage for being jerkoffs on air.
Wow. Isn't Olby lying about the entire context of that View walkout. I mean, he says the conversation was about how O'Reilly's book proves the Mosque shouldn't be built because Muslims attacked us.
Well, not that I know what's actually in the book, because I haven't read it ... and not that O'Reilly's statement about muslims killing us is factually incorrect, because it isn't. But if I recall correctly that segment of The View wasn't even about Billo's book. They were discussing Obama's sagging poll numbers, and O'Reilly repeated his oft-stated notion that Obama is having trouble connecting with the values of ordinary citizens ("the folks"). Joy Behar seemed to take offense to the notion that other Americans don't share her values ("I'm an American!") and then O'Reilly cited the controversy over the mosque and the 70% disapproval of it, and Obama's unwillingness to offer a concrete opinion, as an example of Obama's disconnect with the values of the majority of Americans.
So Behar and Whoopi seem on the verge of saying that this majority who don't want the mosque are stupid, but they don't actually say that. They just seem to be offended by the notion that people don't want the mosque there. You know, like they are taking it personally that their opinion isn't universally revered as fact, and they see O'Reilly's attempt to explain this as given air to this opinion, which to them is the same as endorsing it (which we know Bill does, but it could have been anybody).
But the issue that's coming up is why the families of 9/11 victims would object and whoopi and joy are talking about 70 families of muslims killed in the attacks, and why they can't be respected with a mosque.
So then O'Reilly says the thing about the "muslims killed us on 9/11," which is factually correct. The terrorists were indeed muslims, and their motive for the attack was their religion (a perverted interpretation of that religion, but still). But I got the sense that O'Reilly was saying that to try to explain why "the folks" don't want the mosque — because the association between islam and terrorism is real, regardless of whether it is fair.
Whoopi and Joy, staunch keepers of the muslim faith all of a sudden, had to stress it was extremists, and then they started yelling as Bill was trying to clarify, and then Joy left (probably to purposefully create a scene to generate buzz which could be used to promote her HLN show) and Whoopi followed. Watch the clip again. Joy is the one who walked out. Whoopi just followed her, probably because she thought it would be cute.
But I don't think any of that had to do with Bill's book or what it does or does not "prove." Because a few moments later Billo apologized about not being as articulate as he could have, and then Joy and Whoopi came back and appreciated the apology, and then Babs said they were taking a break and would come back from commercial to talk about his book.
Olby doesn't show Babs chastising her colleagues for leaving, or Elisabeth Hasselbeck making an excellent point (without Joy there to shout her down) that the Obama administration's insistence on not referring to terrorists as terrorists maybe softened the distinction between muslim extremists and the common muslim.
And that there is context. The difference between roadkill and a meal.
What's more funny is that Olby says that THIS is the example of O'Reilly as a "bigot." As if Billo had never said this stuff a million times on his own show before. Which he had. So a big whatever to Olby, the boy who cried Wolffe.
And another thing. Can we drop the crap of the moral equivalence between Timothy McVeigh and Al Qaeda? McVeigh may have been religious, and an extremist, but not necessarily a religious extremist. I think his actions were motivated by his experiences, which fueled an anti-government political sentiment.
The muslim extremists are simply brainwashed into an irrational anti-American sentiment apropos of nothing.
Also, just want to say that I went to the Countdown site and watched the worsts video and before it was a nice little anti Meg Whitman ad. Real subtle, guys. Lean forward my ass. I hope you fall over.
Think Olbermoron will talk about this tonight?
Angle clear winner in debate with Reid: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/oct/15/reid-lost-debate-angle/

Olby Week in Review
MK. The only argument I have ever seen you use to defend Olbermann is to try and excuse his actions by pointing to the actions of others.
That is not solid argumentation at all. Defend Olby's omission of the apology and clarification from the clip he showed. If you can't, don't. But pointing to something O'reilly did is silly. Bill O'reilly explained what he meant. He has clarified what he meant.
Olbermann uses the shortened clip to show O'reilly saying "Muslims killed us on 9-11" and he takes that to mean that O'reilly is taking rational muslims, and extremists to be the same. That is absurd, and O'reilly (about 30 seconds later) clarifies. America has done a pretty good job of summing things up on that issue.
But. After looking at Olbermann's twitter page. His position now seems to be that the attackers on 9-11 really weren't Muslim due to the fact that they went to a strip club prior to the attacks. Which is really a bizarre claim to make.
But, Keith Olbermann doesn't care about the truth or soundness of an argument. He only cares which arguments best suit his purposes. Hence all the inconsistency.
Don't count on it, Tony. Olby will use a out like that the Journal-Review's owner 'has it in' for Reid. A few months ago, Harry Reid dissed the owner of the paper, stating that Reid wanted to take him "out". Using Olby-Logic, you can twist it into that the owner will lie to tank Reid's campaign, even though Old Harry is a clod.

Sorry for the double post.
First, your Thurber-Free Random video of the Week.

About #3, a all in one attack on all things Tea. Bashes Sister Sharon, Brother Rand and Sister Michelle. And I called it, Keith called Reid the winner. He's still thinks Oakland didn't get a raw deal in their Playoff game against the Patriots.
Then, he takes Rand Paul out of context about education. Makes fun of Heritage Foundation. Yes, that pesky constitution, who needs it? Not anyone leaning forward at MSNBC.
They are banging the drum of the Tea Party saying "Government is Bad". No, Keith, Government has it's purpose. It isn't to exert total control over your life.
The time I "lean forward" is when I'm on the john. Thank god for Stool Softeners.
Like that receptionist that makes your appointment at 2:30... IN THE FRAKKING AM! It's the WPITW abstract. I'm sure it's a typo.
Bronze: CVS pharmacist, for the sin of not having the correct co-pay.
Silver: Doug Shohen- for not being liberal enough to Lean Foreward, triples down on the Chamber of Congress story.
GOLD!!: Brian Kilmeade- For the sin to calling terrorists Muslims. CREATIVE EDITING AWARD GOES to the MSNBC staff. I see nothning wrong with what Brian said. BRINGS UP TILLER!!! Yawn. Again, context is lost on Olby, what else is new or old.
Well, drag out the DVD player, have the new night janitor Rich Sanchez tidy things up, and have Rachel put in the prison disc before they lock up 30 Rock. IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!! Looks like we made it. Next few weeks will be intersting for me to say the least. I'll be starting my kidney transplant education class. Hopefully I'll be on the list soon. So If I dissapear, please understand. But until then, I'll keep pounding it out for as long as I can. So, If I get anything, I'll post it here, see you monday. And, Let's be careful out there.
NewsBusters: Olbermann Slams FNC's Kilmeade as ‘Un-American Bastard'.
Radical Olby: "But our winner, Brian Kilmeade. There is stupid [Ding!] and there is bigoted [Ding!] and there is paranoid [Ding!], and there is Islamophobic [Ding!], though it takes a big man to combine all four of them. [Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!] ... No, we're not. But that was just a warm up. Wait for the hate [Ding!]. ... Every terrorist is a Muslim. Scott Roeder [Ding!] – who assassinated [Ding!] George Tiller – must be surprised to find out that he's a Muslim. Jim David Atkisson [Ding!] – the church murderer who says he was inspired by Bernie Goldberg's writing – he converted without his knowledge apparently. Eric Rudolph [Ding!] and the guy who tried to attack the Tides Foundation and the ACLU [Ding!] and the man who detonated a bomb at a mosque in Jacksonville [Ding!], all Muslims. And Timothy McVeigh [Ding!]. ... That's right, see, because when McVeigh [Ding!] was put to death, that ended all threats of American-born terrorists on the radical right [Ding!]. So here's one for Mr. Kilmeade. Not every un-American bastard [Ding!] is Brian Kilmeade, but all Brian Kilmeades are un-American bastards [Ding!] and tonight's Worst Person in the World."
Good news and bad news for the Fox-hating Edward R. Olbermann: Fox Out-of-Business [Ding!] Network was one of a handful of channels pulled from Cablevision by the eeevil News Corp., as the two sides couldn't reach an agreement. The bad news: Fixed News [Ding!] is still available! No!!!
I read the article on Newsbusters about Olby and my favorite was the comment that said, "Olby can see November from his bath tub"...Classic!
Farmer FatAss's hatred of Brian Kilmeade is connected directly to the ratings success of Fox and Friends. Poor bitter Oldermann. How's Katy, FatAss?
Be on the lookout for a full on Rand Paul attack on Monday's show. In tonight's Ky Senatorial debate, Jack Conway is stinking it up. He'll need Olby to attempt some "rehab" on this cluster-frak of a debate. Watch out for the return of AQUA BUDDA!!!! A new low in Ky politics.
Johnny Dollar did something slightly different this time:
FHWiR: Take the Fox Haters Challenge!
http://tinyurl.com/24gjjfe
Kilmeade has apologized..
I predict that tonight Olby will go after News Corp in their ongoing brawl with Cablevision. This is especially since his beloved sports, namely baseball, were withheld from customers. As a customer, I believe Cablevision is the ultimate villain, even though they're supposedly fighting for binding arbitration, but others believe News Corp is the villain. And if you hate FNC, FBN, Roger Ailes, and Rupert Murdoch, this brawl is a great excuse to bash them. So, Monkeymann will either name News Corp Worse, Worser, or Worst, or he'll devote a whole segment and have a guest kick the topic around.
Liberals mistakenly view Rush Limbaugh as a ranting blowhard. So liberals went out and got themselves their own genuine rating blowhard.
Keith Olbermann is a lame and pathetic attempt to give the liberals their own "Rush". But Rush and other conservative host do a lot more than just rant. And unlike their liberal (Bolshevik) counterparts, most put a high value on honesty.
