Olby Week in Review

Mediaite's Jon Bershad removed all ideological doubt by posting that he found Olbermahn's lousy, malicious impressions of Lou, Rushbo, and Mr. Bill funny. Keith's impressions (and catchphrases) were funny on ESPN and Fox Sports, but no longer. Now, it's character assassination.
Having said that, Jon is free to find whatever he wants funny and be as left as he wants. A pleasure, sir. Great Thanks.

People have commented about this before, but it is rather ridiculous how MSNBC seems to just shut down on the weekends, and rerun crime investigation shows or whatever. FOX and CNN run real time shows on the weekends. For MSNBC to just write off weekends and holidays is really strange, like they don't care if they lose money doing it.

Not surprising. Didn't he promise to reinstate those ha banned in that period? I'm sure his fans will hold him to that.

You do understand it costs money to provide original television right? They probably save money doing this, which is why Olbermann and Maddow can brag about making all that dough for MSNBC. Remember NBCU is so cheap they started running movies on The Weather Channel, though I'm not sure if they do that anymore.

You know how most of us think MSNBC is a joke? No one knows that better than the brass at NBCU. There's no need to waste money on original programming when you know your already small base isn't going to watch.

Before the MSNBC defenders come in and bash generalities, yes, MSNBC does cover the news on the weekends...but from what I've seen not past 3 P.M. eastern. By then it's rape and prison docs.

And yes, when breaking news that fits their ideology such as Health Care and DADT votes, MSNBC is first on the scene.

And yes, when a Muslim with a bomb in his crotch tries to blow up a plane on Christmas, MSNBC comes in an hour after it happened with a news flash followed by more prison docs.
