What's this? Another spittle-flinging rant from Edward R Olbermann. That's right. You see he's suddenly very perturbed. Because despite all the talk about civility, rhetoric, and the like, it seems nobody has come out and condemned violent rhetoric. Well except for Olby, of course. So that means another ten minutes of melodramatic bluster...in the name of 'civility'.
What is really means is a chance for Krazy Keith to go after those eeevil Fox people. Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and--the greatest Olbsession of them all--O'Reilly! Hey, this would be a good time to demand again (Oralmann loves to demand things) that Obama back out of his interview with Mr Bill. Now this is surely just a coincidence, but yesterday this began running:
How that must drive the infamous, deplorable one up a padded wall. The green-eyed monster stalks again.
On tonight's Hour of Spin:
TUESDAY UPDATE:
It's must-miss tv! Comments are open!
"What's this? Another spittle-flinging rant from Edward R Olbermann. That's right. You see he's suddenly very perturbed. Because despite all the talk about civility, rhetoric, and the like, it seems nobody has come out and condemned violent rhetoric. Well except for Olby, of course."
Give him credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem.
"Give him credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem."
Getting his a** handed to him by Bill O'Reilly every night shows that people know this guy is full of it, wuss. Ratings don't lie, but in the land of The Hefty One, twisting the ratings system proves that he is the guttersnipe O'Reilly says he is. When a person is this dishonest, people like us call him out on it.
"Give him credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem."
I agree. Him skipping a few days have been astronomical in the civility game.
*has. I'd hate for Olbermann to come in here and make fun of my grammar.
MKDAWUSS, does the Daily Kos know you linked a Fox News story to your Facebook page?
Dream on, Olbermahn. President Obama will not back out of the O'Reilly interview.
What are the odds he glorifies--nay, canonizes--Eric Fuller?
"Give him credit for trying to be the trigger man and attempt to be part of the problem and not the solution."
I hear you mkdawuss, and agree.
CJ, I don't think civility is in this douche's vocabulary. Everything to this guy is anti-civility, buffoonery, and downright dastardly. Seriously, I think he will use the Packers Fans' yelling at the game only because it was on Fox, to sabotage the coveted O'Reilly interview with Dear Leader. HOW DARE FOX AIR THAT! SEE, THEY ENCOURAGE RACIST BEHAVIOR ON THAT NETWORK. OBAMA, I FORBID YOU TO GO ON FOX SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!
I have taken ryder's advice about the MKDAWUSS list under advisement and have decided that giving it an "Olbermann suspension" is the best thing to do. In its place will be a reading of the principles of journalism.
As many of you know, MKDAWUSS recently proved to all of us that Keith Olbermann is not a "responsible journalist". Begin at the 1/13 @ 6:41 Eastern comment:
http://www.olbermannwatch.com/archives/2011/01/olbypocrisy_in.php#comments
I believe we all owe MKDAWUSS a round of applause for confirming this information. Who better than one of Olbermann's loyal fans to make such a declaration.
Now I give you the principles of journalism:
http://www.journalism.org/resources/principles
1. Journalism's first obligation is to the truth.
2. Its first loyalty is to the citizens.
3. Its essence is discipline of verification.
4. Its practitioners must maintain an independence from those they cover.
5. It must serve as an independent monitor of power.
6. It must provide a forum for public criticism and compromise.
7. It must strive to make the news significant, interesting, and relevant.
8. It must keep the news comprehensive and proportional.
9. Its practitioners must be allowed to exercise their personal conscience.
"CJ, I don't think civility is in this douche's vocabulary."
Well to be fair he did say this at the end of his Special Comment on the Saturday special:
"Violence or the threat of violence has no place in our democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or anything in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence because for whatever else each of us may be, we all are Americans."
So that's that. If it lasts it lasts and MKDAWUSS will have a legitimate point.
If it doesn't, well, we know what that means.
"What are the odds he glorifies--nay, canonizes--Eric Fuller?"
Is he even gonna be in tonight? It is a holiday. I don't mean that in a derogatory way. Everyone tries to take holidays off.
Anyway Mike, that story was over the minute Fuller was arrested. IDK if you caught the Tweets this weekend but he threw Fuller under the bus as soon as the story broke.
"Give him credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem."
And who IS part of the problem.
And please when you name names, cite specific examples with credible sources (that means Media Matters, the "progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media," is not credible).
It's what the "responsible journalist" would do.
Never mind then.
"Since you made the assertion, when was the last time Keith Olbermann ran a story without all the evidence?"
You know, you asked this question four days ago MKDAWUSS and were given multiple responses.
Why would you ask a question and not respond to the answer?
"Violence or the threat of violence has no place in our democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or anything in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence because for whatever else each of us may be, we all are Americans."
So that's that. If it lasts it lasts and MKDAWUSS will have a legitimate point."
I want Der Kommissar to go through his dark past and be specific to what he said "that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence".
If step #1 is admitting there is a problem, then I'd rather see him skip all the way to the step where he should seek out all of those he offended and apologize. He has 42 days left. Let the apologies flow like water over the Niagra Falls.
You want some IRresponsible journalism?
Look no further than Christiane Amanpour. If I was handed a story like she was and buried it I would have been fired.
Anyway, Beck injected some humor into the situation:
http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2011/01/17/glenn-beck-pounds-abc-and-amanpour-shrugging-death-threat-tea-partier
I'd like to take this time to note that not all graduates of the University of Rhode Island are as shameful as Christiane Amanpour.
MK. First of all, I don't buy that there is a problem.
I'd have to actually see Olbermann stop engaging in the petty name-calling that he engages in before I give him any credit for a change in tone. Judging by the way he is still all out insults on Twitter, I doubt you will see a change in his tone.
The only reason he apologized and rebuked violent rhetoric, is so he could smear those that he deems haven't done as much as he has in the name of civility.
"I want Der Kommissar to go through his dark past and be specific to what he said 'that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence'."
Hey, good catch bro. I see where you're going with this.
Is Olbermann implying that he HAS said things "that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence"?
"MK. First of all, I don't buy that there is a problem."
Some of us are smart enough to understand that a gun metaphor is just that...a metaphor.
At the end of the day all of us are responsible for our own actions.
cjflan32, do you think can quit your Olbermann suspension as quickly as Olbermann?
Richard Cohen, Washington Post:
"How much time do we have left to talk about how stupid Sarah Palin is?"
Civility for everyone. Except Sarah Palin.
MKDAWUSS, is this guy Cohen part of the solution or part of the problem?
See, I told you so. CNBS, right now as we speak, is running a show on the Marijuana business in this country. They are gloating how Marijuana is a great industry that is creating jobs. Drugs good. Guns, Conservatives, and words bad.
"cjflan32, do you think can quit your Olbermann suspension as quickly as Olbermann?"
Well, do you mean his actual suspension or when he suspended WPITW?
Because I was thinking WPITW, but the more I thought about it I figured that I'd have to have a poll to bring it back and then call it Not MKDAWUSS' List or something like that.
I'd rather bore you with the principles of journalism and dedicate it to MKDAWUSS and his proclamation regarding Olbermann's dishonest journalism.
"MK. First of all, I don't buy that there is a problem."
Exactly. The whole silly whining about metaphors, symbols, and rhetoric that have been used by Olby's pals for the past decade never got a peep out of Olby. Not once did he condemn his friends for kill Bush signs, Bush/Hitler signs, etc. Indeed, Olby himself called Bush a fascist and an idiot-in-chief and said he has 'blood on his hands' because he's a 'war criminal'.
The whole rhetoric thing is a political trick. And there is no one less worthy to argue it than the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann.
Which one's CNBS? I can't keep track of all your nicknames.
Keith Olbermann is fawning all over himself. Examine his apology. He mentioned one specific, in reference to Hillary Clinton. And he was out of line for saying that, but it was just a joke. A bad, vitriolic joke, but a joke nonetheless.
And he gave a blanket apology. It was a sort of "If I did anything, I'm sorry" type thing. Sort of like his apology amidst the #mooreandme fiasco which caused him to quit Twitter for a couple days. It's a non-apology apology.
He still defends calling Michelle Malkin a mashed up bag of meat. The guy is a fraud.
I almost choked on my chicken sandwich when I heard that Olby took 'responsiblity' for what happened! Is he out of his frakking mind?
And now he's defending the guy that shouted out the tea party death threat, and olby is praising him.
And a democrat's best bud, John McCain is once again reaching across the aisle. Thanks John. Now go back home.
Special running commentary on the SPECIAL COMMENTARY coming.
BTW, The False Murrow went back to the teenage unibomber picture on the TWITter. I guess he figured out that the picture of a hefty, middle-aged, single, and extremely angry man holding a child isn't a good way to get women in the tub with him.
Dj, is there any room in the tub while Keith is in there.
Something that may come up in the Komment: "'Are you Tom Brokaw? BAM!'" Which Keith kompetitor said that jokingly Friday night? Go on, guess. Business Insider, Mediaite, and Newshounds (at least) posted about it over the weekend.
CNBC.
I'm missing the eclipse awards for this $#!T! Go Zennatta!!!
The things that I do. But if I can undergo the pain of dialysis, I can undergo the pain of the RUNNING SPECIAL COMMARTY OF THE SPECIAL COMMENT!!!!! (dailysis hurts less).
HERE IT COMES!!!!!!
I should realy do this on twitter. But I need more than 140 on my thoughts.
Jan 25, The SOTU or in other words MSNBC's superbowl.
Left right middle, meaning right only.
Only one on the left. Keith, your favorite mashed up bag of meat proved you wrong!
Kneel down to Bill (The rapist) Clinton.
Hell, yeah, it's a argument of free speech. The left can't win in a free arena.
Keith beautifies himself and McCain is once again the useful idiot.
What did Beck, Palin et al make violent rhertoic?
IT'S COMING FROM THE LEFT! ALL FROM THE LEFT!!!!
So, that wasn't violent. It was true.
MISSPELLED WORDS, WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!
The left is aiming for shootings.
Dupnik is a liberal Keith. HE'S ON MSNBC MORE THAN THE WOLFMANN!
Rush in entitled to his opinion. So are you.
Wow, someone teach Keith out ads.
Calling Beck Crazy, way to tone down the rhetoric.
Second amendment is a bitch keith.
GO MARK LEVIN.
GO TO HELL MIKE SAVAGE!
Bashes War Hero Col. Alan West.
She is right, Why can't libs see that?
What about Obama bringing a gun to a knife fight?
Dupnik should resign. He was wrong. On that note Bloomberg should resign too.
Hawking is right.
Keith throwing dirt on Sister Sarah. Remember, she doesn't have a right to defend herself on Olby Planet.
Franks was right.
Keth's throwing a lot of what ifs.
Obama did fib, he did it on Sunday. WHAT SPONTAINOUSLY? What? did they open her eyes with tongs?
Yes, Keith there was appaluse. It was a fucking kegger. Not a memorial service. No man of god there either.
Trent Humphies is the REAL CRIMINAL!
FULLER IS A HERO! THERE WE GO!
NBC NEWS? WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!
Fuller is one of your guys Keith.
Carroll is right. SO WHAT?
Obama is a nazi, SO WHAT?
What about all the shit that Markos scrubbed from Daily Kos? (Crickets)
Camera turn, head turn.
And the left is still attacking the right. But it's the right that is at fault.
POOR MUSLIMS. Keith is a closet Muslim.
THE RIGHT DOESN"T UNDERSTAND? WTF?
What about all the violence in the left towards the left.
That's what the left is doing Keith.
It's over! THANK GOD!!!!!
Well, that was interesting. And by interesting, I mean a total load of crap!
DJ, Bill O'Reilly said it in Dumbest Things of the Week after showing a clip from "Morning Joe" of Brokaw admitting he's afraid of going into a bar in Arizona because of they can carry concealed without a license. So, Bill used the reductio ad absurdum technique and then went to Greg Gutfeld and Arthel Neville for their opinions.
So, Keith *did* canonzie Fuller, *and* Dupnik. I was right on the money.
Now, my special commentary on the running special commentary on the special comment.
Noticed how many of Keith's examples is supposed disrespect of the right to the left. No real violence. This is the left's game, make it a word game. You can't use certain words anymore. Which is bull crap. Again, it's the same rules. The right is held to a higher standard than the left. We need to stand up to the left. When you turn the other cheek, IT GETS SLAPPED! I know, that's my childhood. My parents told me to turn the other cheek. And I got beaten up a lot. Till I fought back. In which then my parents beat me for fighting. Then I didn't fight back. And I kept getting beat up in school. You can't win. Niether can the right.
My mom now says she was wrong. I should have stood my ground. And that's what the right should do. STAND OUR GROUND!
Good night and bite me.
"Violence or the threat of violence has no place in our democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or anything in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence because for whatever else each of us may be, we all are Americans."
Keith Olbermann, I hold YOU directly responsible for anyone that gets killed in the riots on Greece, France, and the UK. It is YOUR constant anti-american rhetoric in blasting capitalism that is causing this. YOU are throwing gasoline on the fire (metaphorically speaking) by insisting we cannot reform entitlements, which you know we cannot afford.
Keith Olbermann, I hold YOU directly responsible for all mercy killings against out soldiers on foreign soil due to your open support to Julien Assange as not only a hero of yours, but a traitor.
Keith Olbermann, I hold YOU directly responsible to the 111th Congressional gridlock. It was YOU who openly supported that asshole Bernie Sanders making an ass of himself on the filibuster. It was YOU that directed Obama to the notion that All wealth is owned by the Federal Government, and it has the right to seize ALL wealth from the living and the dead. It was YOU who ignored all of the warning signs of financial collapse.
Keith Olbermann, I declare you a traitor to this country. If you were to ever get married, oh wait, you prefer civil unions may you find someone just as contemptable, shallow, and disgusting as yourself. Hey, Jane Fonda crawled up from the depths of Hell this weekend to attend the Golden Globes. Maybe that Succubus has some free time. Give her a call. I'm pretty sure her maggot-infested crotch would be perfect for you to lose your virginity.
Guess who won't be invited to Piers Morgan's new show?
http://www.popeater.com/2011/01/17/piers-morgan-cnn-blacklist/
He claims his ban on Olbermann is just "a temporary ban, designed to
confuse and bemuse him, and hopefully engender a violent reaction.
At least I agree with Piers on one fight he picked. His fights he picked with Mr. Bill and Greta are a different story.
I can't imagine Olbermann taking too many shots at Piers Morgan. These British entertainers (Morgan, Cowell, Gervais) are assholes. And because of politics.
Olbermann can say whatever he wants about O'Reilly because he knows BillO will ignore it. Morgan won't, though I expect they'll find more common ground than not.
"And he gave a blanket apology. It was a sort of "If I did anything, I'm sorry" type thing. Sort of like his apology amidst the #mooreandme fiasco which caused him to quit Twitter for a couple days. It's a non-apology apology."
I couldn't care less what kind of apology it was. It was still an apology.
This way when he f**** up you can throw it in his face.
I couldn't care less about the Lyin' Limey. He, just like his lame predecessor, will still get trounced in the ratings.
"Jan 25, The SOTU or in other words MSNBC's superbowl."
syvyn, If The False Murrow had his way in writing this speech he would call it the STFU, aimed right at the Republicans and the SCOTUS. And actually, he probably would change the SCOTUS to SCROTUM.
Also, if the Jets make it in, I think Rex Ryan would demand the NFL change the name of it to the SHOEper bowl and the trophy be a large silver Stiletto.
Can you fucking believe what the liberal websites and media pundits are trying to say now? That they never attacked Sarah Palin, and that no one in the media ever connected her to the Tuscon shootings. Are they all becoming like Olberdork? What they say before doesn't matter now, and if they ignore it, it never happened, and they can just deny they said it, whether it's on tape or not? It's mind boggling. It's like Olberdork saying he never threatened Hillary Clinton when he very clearly did.
Tonyome, and at the same time they are doing that, Crazy Larry, our favorite socialist, is ripping into Sarah Palin for quoting MLK. He is like a satanic chihuahua.
I'll add to that list, CJ: Brand. Russell Brand.
Breaking News at 10:04pm EST. BTW, David Frum looks like he had waaaaaay too much to drink at the bar next door to 30 Rock. That one-eyed blinking is driving me crazy!
Palin: I WILL NOT BE SHUT UP
Palin: Blood Libel controversy is a diversion
Palin: No one ever asked me if I knew what Blood Libel means.
etc.
Wow. Obsessive much?
Breaking News at 10:23pm EST
Crazy Larry, Howard Fineman of the George Soros funded Huffington Post, and David Frum.
Palin: "Obama speech setting like a pep rally."
Wow. That's breaking news???????????
Once again, Olberdouche makes the story about him. The sad part is that 6 people are dead with more critically wounded.
He's arrogant and his wits are dim
And the story is all about him
Six people are dead
But Olbermann said
Blame the right in the interim
This has to be a joke:
http://www.dailykos.com/weeklypolling/2011/1/14
One of the poll questions is "Do you think violence against the current American government is justified or not?"
I don't even care what the results are. Why would you ask this?
Is this the type of civility you're promoting MKDAWUSS? Asking people if violence is justified?
Actually I should comment on the results because if I don't I'll get lambasted for covering up the, ahem, "findings" on the Tea Party. Because liberals have never, NEVER, pretended to be Tea Party members before.
Was that Special Comment written to bash conservatives or was it written for Olbermann to pat himself on the back.
We get it, you and John McCain were the only people to take responsibility for all the violent rhetoric that kills people. Congratulations.
This is gonna bite him in the ass hard.
Noel Sheppard, NewsBusters: Olbermann Cherry Picks Poll to Bash Tea Party as Violent Threat to Elected Officials
When The False Murrow has to "Cherry Pick" a Daily Kos Poll, or a Media Matters Poll, or a CBS Poll, or an M.S.S.R/Wahington Compost Poll, or pick a dinkleberry from a Whitehouse ass, HE knows he and his Communist friends are in trouble. I think it is safe to say that this network is going down in flames. AND you can take my hyperbole as fact. The Hefty One is throwing more gasoline on the fire and making it worse for the Comcast Execs when the official takeover is complete. If I were on the Board of Directors at Comcast, I would go as far as to handle the M.S.S.R. situation as the NCAA handled the Southern Methodist College Football Program in the 1980s.
Calgon, Take him Away (but don't take his 1st amendment away: We need to be reminded of what STUCK ON STUPID looks and sounds like).
By the Way, when Obama holds his State Controlled dinner with Chinese President Hu, will it be appropriate to now officially call Washington DC the Bejing in the West? Or rename Obama's Residence "The Red House"?
Could you imagine if someone who published a book on Bush did this? The slimy smear merchant hatemongers over at M.S.S.R. would be slamming this as a way of hiding criminal activity:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thecutline/20110118/ts_yblog_thecutline/publisher-asks-journalists-not-to-comment-on-obama-novel
Comcast merger approved.

Goodbye olbermann and good luck...ha!
whodatt36, I like your blogname. I am originally from New Orleans. Also 36 makes me picture Ruben Mayes catching a ball from Bobby Hebert out of the backfield for a touchdown :-)
Those were the days. Although last year wasn't bad either! Not from NO but am a fan.
So now the "Sgt. of the Short Bus" Eddie Schultz is claiming the term "Job Killing" as being said by the republicans is now politically incorrect, but yet he says in the same sentence "Young Gun" Paul Ryan.
Now Hurricane Katrina VandenHoevel of the Communist Nation (Wasn't she part of the Manson Family?) just stated the truth: The country liberals want starts with the absolute destruction of the Health Care System in this country. NO PROFIT, NO PROFIT, NO PROFIT.
Can't wait for the talking heads at M.S.S.R. to blast Jeffrey Immelt on this, because "they care so much about the American Worker".
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f14afc34-2347-11e0-b6a3-00144feab49a.html#axzz1BR1rOpm3
I love the name of the reporter too.
I may be a bit premature (like olbertard with a real life woman) be it may be time to dig out a bit of Jim Morrison " this is the end ... My only friend the end... of all elaborate plans the end..." Tic Toc twitter boy days are numbered
"Ex-conservative David Frum shreds his reputation by beaming up to OlbyPlanet."
Oh, the man who looks permanently hung over and only one eye blinks? Just by looking at that guy I can tell he is a creep.
J$, any chance you can post some good John Gibson clips? I haven't heard some good Gibby clips in a while. (Oh, sorry, pretty soon the word "Clip" will be banned because it can either be used to hold ammo, or be the mafia term for a hit.
It is 41 days 4 hours 2 minutes and counting until the False Murrow goes and gets his f***ing shinebox.
Hey dj hate to piss on the parade but I think olbermanns contract isn't up until 2012.
http://www.observer.com/2008/media/msnbc-extends-keith-olbermanns-contract-through-2012
The rhetoric is going to lead to another tragedy?
Yeah, Keith. It is. But it's going to be left wing nutcases, riled up by Olby, Larry, Rachel and the rest of the MSNBC Nazi Youth. Then Olby will come back and say that the right brought upon themselves.
"Keith Olbermann is at the core of MSNBC's current success," said Mr. Griffin in a press release today. "'Countdown' is our signature program and I'm thrilled that we're going to be able to bring it to Keith's loyal viewers for another four year term."
"I'm delighted that we can continue to lock Countdown into the nation's political dialogue through at least the next election," said Mr. Olbermann in the press release.
"Personally, I noticed that as of about six weeks ago, I'd been doing this show longer than I did SportsCenter, so it's delightful to have a true home."
This really explains why MESSDNC is MESSDNC in a nut shell dont you think
dj, I told you that countdown was wrong.
But, you'll be happy to know the Comcast deal is all but done. I doubt everyone at MSNBC will remain intact.
If he considers that rat trap his home, maybe it should be condemned!
Enough! EVICT!
I am becoming disturbed that cowdungs "loyal" fans are only revealed (unmasked?) at death like spies, secret shoppers, superheros, or the good people in the witness protecton program. Are they are ashamed to be fans? or does olbertard just make it up?
"The rhetoric is going to lead to another tragedy?"
In the mind of Der Kommissar, this means since we failed (mirerably I might add) in pinning the Tuscon tragedy ALL ON REPUBLICANSM "we in the media would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling AMERICAN PEOPLE! We will get you if it is the last thing we do!"
Actually ILduckkiller, I did some thinking about The False Murrow's contract, if indeed it gets picked up through 2012. I believe it may actually be a fantastic idea to keep this douchebag around so we can see this reaction on election night when Chariman Obama gets trounced (unless his fellow Communists decide to outlaw elections):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY-03vYYAjA
It is graphic, but yet inevitable.
BTW, Maddow is now reporting breaking news of an attempted MLK parade bombing in Seattle? This is just breaking now? After all of this Breaking news from last night on M.S.S.R.:

Palin: "Obama speech setting like a pep rally."
Wow. That's breaking news???????????
I am not totally convinced that these subhumans over at M.S.S.R. are now committing political arson. Yes, these people are arsonists. If they are proven wrong, grab your pitchforks and torches anyways.
DJ if nothing else and he stays on the air as his "loyal fans" die off and are revealed at least or suspicions are confirmed. how about a pool? who kicks? and if they were or weren't a fan. (not advicating violence)
I take George Bush 1 not a fan
& Hanoi Jane Fonda not only a fan but super fan.
Winner gets Complete best of collection of either Bill Shatner sings or Best of Olbocricy.

Well, I can tell you this much: George Brett is a dear friend of Rush Limbaugh. If Brett were to die (hopefully not) and Der Kommissar can't help himself, he will use the smear "Countdown viewer", not "Fan of Countdown".
#5A: Ezra the K.
#5B: The Wolffe Man.
#4: Video title: "Did Obama steal a GOP talking point [Ding!]?" The voice of Tim the Bear's wife on "The Cleveland Show" was the guest.
Oddball: In-flight marriage proposal.
#3: Ex-Conservative David Frum. Just like the Kos/Public Policy Polling poll last night, the CNN/Opinion Research poll feeds the OlbyNarrative. By the way, Monica Crowley called out Olbermahn by name (grouped in with Bill Maher and Ed Schultz) tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor."
#2: Video title: "[Joe] Lieberman expected to retire." Pretty please, with sugar on top?
#1: Angry Birds! The guest was a CNET person that isn't married to Clayton Morris...and wasn't given the nickname "Noodles" by Alison Rosen...and is a man.
tricky the olby induced....... viewer not a fan catagory bastard is ruining my game the cow school putz
"By the way, Monica Crowley called out Olbermahn by name (grouped in with Bill Maher and Ed Schultz) tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor."
I was thinking the same thing. I guess The False Murrow WILL gloat tomorrow night. Also, right after she said that, she stuttered and paused. I was waiting to see what Bill would do, but he just ignored it and carried on.
Monica Crowley, will you marry me?
Monica Crowley gave him attention! He probably thought about it all night long and wacked off. Tonight he'll proclaim that Crowely, O'Reilly, and Fox are obsessing about him.
I find this whole scenario self serving. These politicians (and more importantly, pundits and people of pronounced political perspective) always find a way to link the world's events to their actions, or that of their political opponents. The truth is very simple; on a good night, Olbermann has 1 1/2, to 2 million viewers, and the percentage of the people watching cable or network news is very small. And, if people aren't hearing about what Senator Whogivesahit said on CSPAN from these outlets, trust me, they're not hearing it from the source.
Now, there's a strange feeling of ownership to the good and the bad in the world. As if anything a liberal or conservative says, will either have the power to feed bastard kittens; or on the other hand punch orphans. And no matter how severe the language, there is always a way to make it appear the way you want it too, which adds more perspective, and makes this entire course of rhetoric like watching a four year olds fight over toys at play time.
Hey ILduckkiller,
I'll take Christopher Hitchens and Micheal Douglas for the BEST OF SHATNER. Hell Yes!
Would go so far as to say they told him they 'tivo'ed his vile crap...
It's after 8:00. Where's either a new thread or a Wednesday update to this one?
I forgot.
Fair enough.
Don't count on me to do this every night.

Oddball: Pass.
#3: Ding-dong, Joe Lieberman's retiring! Discredited Dave sprayed the champagne.
#2: Attacks on Rep. David Dreier (R-CA) and Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ). Republican party time machine!
#1: College students are stupid. Former comedian Frank Conniff piled on.
It was another must-miss Hour of Spin.
"#1: College students are stupid. Former comedian Frank Conniff piled on."
Never forget, in the mind of Der Kommissar they are stupid if they didn't attend THE Cornell Agriculture School and was not a TA While they were a student.
TA at Cow School in...... wait for it....... oral bull semen extraction 101... he had shown great apttitude while just a student
There were some stupid Nazi references used in the House chamber today by some no-name Democrat.
I thought that since MKDAWUSS dislikes such references and is also looking for people to tone down the rhetoric he would have said something.
I guess that didn't make the nightly Kos newsletter. Or Media Matters for that, um, matter.
College students are stupid?
Gee, who would think that hotbeds of liberalism turn out idiots? A shock to me.
I'll name him, CJ: Steve Cohen (D-TN). "... repeat the lie, repeat the lie, repeat the lie ..." He's stuck!
I honestly don't know what was said in #1. I just summarized what was on the "Countdown" webpage. Video title: "Lack of learning in college?" If you put the hand icon on the #1 thumbnail, the description reads: "Comedian Frank Conniff shares his thoughts on a new study, which suggests that as freshmen and sophomores, 45 percent of college students make no significant improvement in reasoning or writing." But knowing how the Hour of Spin works, I was probably right in my one-sentence summary.
I'm glad some people are starting to realize that Palin played right into the far left's hands last week and aren't afraid to say it.
Furthermore, did anyone see Beck's clips on the Today show this morning?
One thing Meredith Vieira could learn from Olbermann is never interview people that disagree with you and more importantly are smarter than you.
Anthony Weiner had some classy comments too regarding Republicans and drinking games.
MKDAWUSS is listed as a fan of Rep. Weiner. I'm sure he's spending his time on Daily Kos trashing him for his lack of civility on the House floor today.
Ann Coulter has a new column about the media reaction to Jared Loughner's horrific act in Tucson, including Olby's part in it. Here's my quote on Olby's role in it.
Last Tuesday, the night before Palin responded, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann mocked Palin's silence throughout his show:
-- "And why is the ever self-promoting Miss Palin so quiet?"
-- "And it's quiet, isn't it?"
-- "It's too quiet."
-- "The silence is deafening from the great Northwest."
It was deemed an admission of guilt that she hadn't spoken about the Tucson shooting or denied the accusations that she had inspired the shooter.
The next day, Palin posted a video response, and Keith immediately attacked her for "the worst timed political statement ever." It's almost as if liberals would attack Palin whatever she did.
Olbermann sneered about Palin's use of the phrase "blood libel," scoffing, "This, to Sarah Palin, is analogous to what is happening to her." No, not only happening to her, but to all right-wingers, tea partiers, Republican politicians, and conservative radio and TV hosts -- all of whom have been accused of complicity in murder.
...
In an especially prissy "Special Comment" the night of the shooting, Olbermann said that if Sarah Palin "does not repudiate her own part in amplifying violence and violent imagery in politics, she must be dismissed from politics." Ditto for Rep. Allen West, ex-candidate Sharron Angle, Rep. Giffords' opponent Jesse Kelly and "the Tea Party leaders." ... >>

Quote should begin at "Last Tuesday..."
Olbermann "Violence or the threat of violence has no place in our democracy, and I apologize for and repudiate any act or anything in my past that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence because for whatever else each of us may be, we all are Americans."
'that may have even inadvertently encouraged violence”
Is it possible this rant of Olbermann could not be “inadvertently encouraged violence”

Olbermann said, “We do not need to call the Democrats holding this up Blue Dogs that one word, dogs is perfectly sufficient, but let me speak to them collectively anyway.
I warn you all.
You were elected to serve the people, and if you fail to pass or support this legislation the full wrath of the progressive and the moderate movements in this country will come down on your heads.”
If you will behave as if you are Republicans, as if you are the prostitutes of our system, you will be judged as such and you will lose not merely our respect you will lose your jobs.
Cross us all at your peril.”

I read a report this morning that Congresswoman Giffords has the ability to stand up, and will begin rehab in just a few days. All network and political tattle-tales aside, she is quite a human being, and my coffee has never tasted so good...
"Give him credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem.", MKDAWUSS on Keith Olbermann.
The following are excepts from the Jan. 19 edition of Countdown.
"The end of the line for Joe Lieberman, self-described 'moderate Democrat.' Don’t let the delusional liar door hit you in the delusional liar butt on the delusional liar way out."
"And then there are those politicians who sail through their public lives untouched, which is fortunate, which is the way it should be, unless what they are untouched by is reality. Tonight, goodbye, Joe Lieberman, and good riddance."
"Joe Lieberman announces he will not run again, reveals he’s been living in a dream world of his own in which a Senator who endorsed the Republican presidential nominee is, quote, 'a moderate Democrat.'"
I'm glad MKDAWUSS clarified for us last week that Olbermann is not a "responsible journalist" because then I'd have to slam him for this.
But, give Olbermann credit for trying to be the bigger man and attempt to be part of the solution and not the problem.
Because he's obviously trying very, very hard.
You can read more on Oralmann kicking dirt on Lieberman's proverbial [Ding!] grave here. In a related story, Arianna Huffington insulted the retiring senator to his IFB (interruptible feedback system) today on 'Morning Joe'.
I hate to be off topic, but did anyone see the Oakland Raiders Press Conference the other day? Jesus, I can't believe that someone actually took the time to dig up Al Davis from the cemetery and bring him in front of the press. It looked as if whoever dug him up stuck the shovel in his head by accident.
Is it the policies or the person Olberdork? I think you just hate Jews, especially Jews that hold political office. There's a disturbing pattern with you Olby, and you need to explain yourself. You've been running cover for terrorists for years, defending them and accusing the U.S. Governement of violating their "rights". You had better issue a statement and prove your innocence, otherwise, I will permanently brand you an anit semite. And you have the gall to attack Palin for using the "blood libel" term? KEITH OLBERMANN - JEW HATING ANTI SEMITE.
