In a rare burst of transparency, the suits at Current have generously given us ratings for the second week of Countdown...not night by night, mind you, but simply the average numbers for week two. You will recall how Olby trumpeted his 'key demo' (25-54) ratings for the first week, an astonishing, jaw-dropping 133,000 viewers. Of course what Oralmann didn't mention is that, compared with all the other programs on genuine cable news channels, that puts him in about 40th place.
Those lackluster numbers tumbled further in the second week of Countdown on Current. Rather than building an audience, Edward R Olbermann appears to be driving them off, as week two found his 133K viewers dwindling to 93,000. In the all-important, nothing-else-matters, ultra-significant 'money demo' (to quote Olby). And plugging that number into the chart finds the infamous, deplorable Keith Olbermann now plummeting to 48th place, behind even such dayside MSNBC failures as D-Rat and the Daily Rundown.
Funny thing, Herr Olbermahn didn't crank out any self-congratulatory tweets about these new numbers. What an odd oversight. Of course, while tweeting a suspicious claim about his premiere night numbers being higher than originally reported, he did toss out this bit of bushwa to cover his backside:
Yeah, well right now they're only bouncing in one direction: DOWN!
On tonight's Hour of Spin, Merkle will show his great independence and serious journalist cred by completely ignoring the story that has the country transfixed: the Anthony verdict. Instead, he'll focus on attacking Republicans (Rick Santorum will be a key victim), which is of course the mission statement of Countdown.
Comments are open!
not even 1 month into his new gig and he is losing viewers. I think an infomercial that instructs people on how to sell Bat dung gets more viewers. Numbers don't lie, but The False Murrow repeatedly lies about numbers. Now that Al Gore is his boss, then He lies also.
You mean he's even losing to the programming on the WOE-PRAH Whiney Network ??? lol
And of course, let's not forget that internet feeds don't contribute to network ratings.
And OK, so he might not have the biggest. But he has the most informed. :)
No, wussy. He doesn't. Unless you count Olbermannwatch posters. Cause we are informed. And we will tell you when your precious Keith is lying.
Like when your Para-Transit carrier fucks up big time, forcing you to be a hour and a half late for Dialysis.... IT'S THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD ABSTRACT!
Bronze: Some stupid woman for trying to sneak her hubby out of prison in a carry bag. Maybe not 'worst', but still stupid.
Silver: NYC sanitation director John J Dorghty- for the sin of being a satiation nanny. For allowing a 82 woman a ticket for putting HOME garbage in a pedestiran trash can. But Keith. This is your big government working for you. Bloomberg is your guy. You should be happy this woman got a ticket. It's everything you wanted.
GOLD: THE PENTAGON or is it KEITH OLBERMANN! He said the 'entire country'. So that would include Keith himself. SO KEITH OLBERMANN IS THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now on to Keith's gripe.
Keith uses fuzzy math to say that we spend too much to us AC in Afganastan. Why the war on terror is bad.
Yes, Keith. You are indeed... THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!
And If I head that Scion ad one more time, I'm going to freak!
"And of course, let's not forget that internet feeds don't contribute to network ratings."
Let's also not forget you can click on a video a 100 times a day to drive up hits. I'm sure you can gauge unique hits but I doubt any
"And OK, so he might not have the biggest."
There it is people, ratings no longer matter. It only took two weeks for this embarrassment to roll out the ratings hypocrisy.
"But he has the most informed. :)"
Informed about what?
How much the Republicans suck?
What gender Carrie Prejean was when she was born?
Why Gen. Petraeus (allegedly) hates America?
Palin's e-mails?
Shall I go on? Why bother.
This is the new MKDAWUSS people, making excuses for Olbermann's low viewership.
So far we have the following:
-Olbermann's on a channel that isn't available to everyone, which is something MKDAWUSS won't talk about because Olbermann pissing off every person he worked with at four different jobs is Olbermann's fault.
-Olbermann does better than Eric Bolling, who is important only because MMFA told him so, even though MKDAWUSS himself has said MMFA is not credible.
-Olbermann's not "established" despite MKDAWUSS claiming he has a "loyal fanbase that will follow him anywhere."
-Olbermann's Facebook page has more "likes" than Olbermann Watch's page, but not more than most of the people Olbermann rails on.
-Olbermann's ratings don't include Web Site hits, which MKDAWUSS loves to prop up but for some reason doesn't care to share.
-Olbermann has boosted Current TV's ratings, though not even close to enough to drag it out of the cellar, which MKDAWUSS always fails to mention.
-Olbermann's competition wouldn't be doing as well if they were in the same position as he is. Again, we'll never know because Olbermann's, ahem, "competition", doesn't napalm bridges.
-Olbermann's audience is (allegedly) the most informed. So far, to test that theory we have:
MikeH, who may have been inept at debate, actually did seem informed; M-Ditty, who's so smart he had to go away for a month because that's how long it takes him to read a bunch of blog posts; And MKDAWUSS, who has shown his "level of informed" is to the extent of what Olbermann tells him. Which means he probably just found out today who Casey Anthony is.
Boy am I gonna have fun with that "most informed" comment down the road...
Dude, CJ, you're Jonesin' bad for Wuss; ha, you're all over this guy immediately after every post, and he's probably just doing it now to waste your time. It's automatic, I'm lose my shit every time...
I've yet to see a single episode of Countdown on CurrentTV, and my life hasn't changed much, other than the fact when Olbermann was on MSNBC I was tempted to bathe most nights with a toaster...
I will agree CJ, the "most informed" comment opens a lot of doors. He's knows his baseball, the FNC nightly line-up and he's probably got O'reilly's dossier somewhere, but I it's clear he hasn't caught up on the details of sex scandals (funny though, only for Democrats), his biblical history, Obama's past (what exists of it), the Ivy League status of his Alma Mater, the weight instructions associated with his five toes shoes, current fashion, etc.
Guys, gals, he's done. His numbers are already sinking, his show has always been bullshit, and this is how it will be for months. This isn't wishful thinking, the most horrific "Journalist" in the history of media is fading away. He'll put up a fight, his ego won't let him go quietly, but he's donezo...
"Guys, gals, he's done. His numbers are already sinking, his show has always been bullshit, and this is how it will be for months. This isn't wishful thinking, the most horrific "Journalist" in the history of media is fading away. He'll put up a fight, his ego won't let him go quietly, but he's donezo..."
We'll see what happens next week but I doubt it will be good.
To be fair it doesn't seem he's delving into any atrocious insults like he did with S.E. Cupp to boost ratings.
On the flip side it doesn't look like anyone's watching to notice.
"Dude, CJ, you're Jonesin' bad for Wuss; ha, you're all over this guy immediately after every post..."
If that were true I would've been here a lot earlier than midnight.
"...and he's probably just doing it now to waste your time."
If everyone here would just take five minutes and go to Facebook you'd see MKDAWUSS is a true believer. It's not a joke, it's not an act, this guy actually thinks Olbermann is the cat's meow and Johnny Dollar is full of it. You would think someone proven time and again to be dumber than a doorknob would be a figment of someone's imagination to drum up web traffic but it's not.
If that's not enough look at when he comments. J$'s been talking ratings for the past two weeks and MKDAWUSS is always here.
But when the Yankees kick Olbermann off the Old Timers game and Johnny put up that Petraeus post, where was MKDAWUSS? Nowhere to be found...until, you guessed it, Johnny started talking about ratings again.
Want more? A good portion of the time I'm the one who asks him questions. He's the one dumb enough to come here and answer them. He just can't get past the fact that his "heroes" Olbermann and Weiner and Carson and Media Matters etc., are just scum.
"I will agree CJ, the "most informed" comment opens a lot of doors."
You forgot the Fort Dix Six. I guess since Countdown viewers are the "most informed" MKDAWUSS must think the Fort Dix Six were a bunch of idiots that were never convicted.
I left out a lot following that comment CJ, I'd need a catering service and bedpan to list them all. I did find this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnKxHFX7VE4&feature=feedrec_grec_index
Just fun to see him when he just that funny guy who knew a lot about baseball on Sportscenter. I doubt he could get a gig doing commercials or advertisements these days. I almost feel sorry for the guy; he'll literally have nowhere to go after this, and it's clear he doesn't have much time.
I'm kidding about the last part, to hell with Keith Olbermann, and his years of bullshit...
Remember Olberdork's prediction before his show started on Current? That he would drive Current ratings up ten fold. Looks like he's several fold short of ten, lol. What I find most astonishing is that he didn't change anything - nothing. He's basically put a carbon copy of his MSNBC show on Current, and it's as big a dismal failure on Current as it was on MSNBC. MSNBC's 8:00 PM ratings are actually higher now than when Mr. Sarah Palin Glasses was there.
Looks like my local Time Warner cable is going to be dropping Current. They had a commercial that they were putting a new Bill Cosby retro shows network on the channel Current now occupies. Kind of a shame. I wanted to watch his collapse live, but I guess I can catch up on Olbermann Watch.
Breaking..... Eliot Spitzer's CNN show CANCELLED!!!!!!!!
In the Arena has been feed to the lions.
Will Mr. Sarah Palin Glasses claim credit for driving Spitzer's show off the air?
Like when Staples doesn't have that mouse on sale for $9, but one more expensive,
IT'S THE WPITW ABSTRACT!
Bronze: Some damn art thief. WHO CARES!
Silver: Jeff Flake (R) - For daring to overrule Sec. Interior Salazar. Cause you can never overrule anyone from the Obama adminstration. Keith Speed Reads and gives me a headache. But more so, it allows mineral mining rights to be sold (Olberdouche says that Flake can sell and profit from them, wrong).
Funny, didn't Harry Reid do the same thing? Guess he gets a pass due to the (D) next to his name.
GOLD: Toni Ala G from US airways- For being rude to passengers. A passenger snapped her picture and G threw her off the plane.
Have to agree, TSA and other airline employees think they are dictators. Keith's kind of people.
Amanda Terkel, the gal who cried 'foul'. The more I hear her talk she sounds like Garofalo, only with chop sticks.
Spitzer's demise should be a clear indication of the kind of response a scandal plagued Democrat should receive after being given the green light to host his own show on a Cable News Network. I very seriously doubt Olbermann will get that memo. I can't imagine Anthony Weiner not being a host on Current soon, and Keith has already hinted at it. Speaking of, Dick Armey, John Boehner, and company continually get ravaged for have names with a suggestive structure, but can someone please tell me why Olbermann took the high road with Weiner? Those jokes wrote themselves! I know, I know, Democrat, but come on. How can you resist? Does anyone have any idea what a show would be called on Current hosted by Anthony Weiner?
Ooooo, this should be fun, who wants to go first?
Mr. Sarah Palin Glasses hasn't brought up the Rupert Murdoch scandal yet? No demands that Fixed News be shut down forever?
ryder20 - high road!?!?!? It safe to say Keith will never have that claim after his gleeful "teabagging" language and his awful gestures regarding Carrie Prejean.
Will Keith give Spitzer a job on Current? That would be pretty funny since that was the show they were triumphing that they beat!
I want Katy Turic, dammit!!
Like when one stupid bible banger woman who doesn't even have a TV, cause it's sinful, torpedos a agreement with the cable company that would keep my building's prices down for 3 years, cause she doesn't like it....
ITS THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD ABSTRACT!
Bronze: Fox and Friends- This one is a classic Olby technique. A show reports one story and shows another story that doesn't bolster the first one. In this case F&F reported a princeton study (like they are reliable) about illegal immagration being down. Then, Doocy reporting on a story about a illegal hoping the border fence. Cause F&F is the only news show that has a agenda, right Keith? And he does the classic Doocy lisp (always classy, Monkeymann and then calls Gretche Carlson a 'racist' DING). Then Olby cooks up numbers that support his view. Yawn.
Silver: Ananomus airport tyrant- A black woman's afro was searched. I said it before, Keith, this is your big government at work.
GOLD!!!: Robert Mecklenborg who made a apperacene last week for having his license taken away when he submitted a bill to make a ID required to vote. This time he makes the Worsts for shows the video of him being arrested. So nothing new. Since this is a REPUBLICAN who was caught with a whore, it's a big story. If Mecklenborg was a democrat.... No big deal. Typical Monkeymann reporting.
Thank you and good night.
I still don't see how wuss calls The False Murrow's audience "the most informed".
INFORMED OF WHAT? That Matt Taibbi wrote a character assassination piece on Michelle Bachmann? If I were a betting man, I would say the odds are 1 to 1 that Matt Taibbi has never met Michelle Bachmann, never spoke to Michelle Bachmann, but masturbates at night to pictures of Michelle Bachmann.
Is it my imagination or is Olberdork already fading into obscurity? There was some media coverage when he launched his show but not much of anything since. He's even being ignored on Politico.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6BVvRwRYbg
On the Countdown Web Site:
Has "MURDOCH GATE reached Watergate levels?" And yet nothing about "Operation: Fast and Furious reaching Watergate level"?
What happened to News of the World is bad. But it seems limited to just NotW. Bath-tub-boy can't wait for it to get back to FNC.
What MKDAWUSS is saying with that link is Countdown viewership is so pathetic ha has to beg for hits from Johnny Dollar and the rest of Olbermann Watch.
lol. Socialist tripe.
The system that has done the most good, for the most amount of people is capitalism. No government "social safety net" program in the world has done the amount of good that capitalism has done.
Yet the left just doesn't get it. They never will. They'll just keep concluding that the people who are in favor of capitalism are simply greedy.
...but then you can show them the numbers that show that conservatives give more to charity. Not just in amount of money, but also in amount of time, and amount of blood.
I will never understand the left.
Like Michael Savage says, liberalism is a mental disorder.
"Like Michael Savage says, liberalism is a mental disorder."
Well, Michael Savage is a jackass. MKDAWUSS is a big Savage fan too, probably because Savage hates George Bush and FNC as much as his ever-increasingly obscure hero.
Speaking of obscurity, do ratings come out tonight? I'll give Olbermann the benefit of the doubt and say ratings were up this week in the "key demo". It's hard to get any lower than they already are.
In the SC (I didn't watch it, but going just by the title) DON'T CUT CARE, MR. PRESIDENT!
Don't worry, Keithy-poo! Your future medicare isn't going to be cut. But you might have to reach inside your pocket and pay some of it yourself. It's only fair. And you stupid liberals are all about 'fair'.
"Speaking of obscurity, do ratings come out tonight? I'll give Olbermann the benefit of the doubt and say ratings were up this week in the "key demo". It's hard to get any lower than they already are."
I was told earlier today they beat some show on CNN.
"In the SC (I didn't watch it, but going just by the title)"
You should have - it was worth watching.
But then again, you're only into segments like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5syKiQVlpNc&feature=channel_video_title
Right? Don't worry - it's how I was introduced to Countdown as well.
"I was told earlier today they beat some show on CNN."
Really? Who told you that? What show did The False Murrow beat in ratings? Oh wait I forgot.....Wussy NEVER likes to answer questions when you put his feet to the fire.
"I was told earlier today they beat some show on CNN."
You'll excuse me if I don't accept your word on this, given your atrocious track record and penchant for disappearing for five days when you get called out.
"Really? Who told you that?"
Brock? Some random blogger at Kos? Markos himself? MKDAWUSS doesn't like to talk about Markos after Johnny asked him what he thought about that whole accusing Scarborough of murder thing.
"What show did The False Murrow beat in ratings?"
Probably Spitzer, which means Olbermann beat a lame duck. Al Gore must be so proud.
Because man can't live on crappy reality shows alone... IT'S THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD ABSTRACT!
Note: Steven Crowder's video as Keith will be released sometime this week. WATCH FOR IT!
Bronze: Arizona State Senator Laurie Kline. For aiming a gun at a reporter who wanted to see the gun.
Silver: Sister Michelle: About her husband's 'cure gay' clinic. YOU CAN'T CURE THE BLESSED GAYS! Mrs. Bachmann wants to talk about her run for the President. But reporter dimwit won't give it up like a dog with a bone cause this reporter is a bitch! For that BACHMANN CANNOT BE PRESIDENT! OBAMA 2012, OBAMA FOREVER!
GOLD: Bill-o!!!!!!: For 'calling for the arrest of Rupert Murdoch'! Guys, this is a classic Olby trick, we've all seen it before many times. When someone say "A", to Bath-tub-boy it means "B"! In this case Mr. O'Reilly was for the prosecution of that guy who hacked SAINT SARAH of Wassila (DING). So Keith takes that to mean that Rupert Murdoch and everyone else at News Corp.... ARRESTED! But keith, having Bill wanting to 'Duck March' the pirate out in handcuffs, shouldn't you want to have Bill named the "BEST PERSON IN THE WORLD"?
ANOTHER HUGE WASTE OF TIME!
Wuss, this was not a great comment, in fact it was stupid. You see compassion and intellect, but the rest of us (the millions who don't listen to or care about Keith Olbermann) hear ignorance and extreme partisanship.
First of all, what's the answer? If Keith was so brilliant, he would be offering real solutions to the current financial woes of the country instead of insisting the rich be penalized further for their success by paying more taxes; what Keith so blindly refers to as their, "fair share." We all know a comprehensive approach with drastic cuts to spending to all sectors of the government, including entitlements, is the only way to solve these problems, but Keith, like most politicians, cares more about his future and image, than the country itself.
Answer me this; Liberals who consistently believe in Evolution (as do many conservatives, including myself) always find a way to support ulterior methods of government. Nature is successful for a reason, by selecting the weak for extinction. Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not advocating we allow the poor and sick to simply die, but why is so hard to accept these situation as facts, unchangeable facts? People get sick, and they die. People have unfortunate times in their lives, and they lose their will, success, future, etc. To believe we can help and save them all is quite frankly ignorant and hypocritical. However, Liberals don't want to help or save them all, they want the government, funded primarily by the rich, to be further funded by the rich, and then, only then will everyone be free from unfortunate times, failure and illness. It's bullshit. Life is unfair, and it can suck. But the strong in our society find ways to beat their hard times; when they get sick or lose everything, and the government shouldn't be answer every, single, time. It's not realistic, its not affordable and it's controllable. This leads me to my next point...
Who gives more money to Charity, Liberals or Conservatives? Who donates more of their time to volunteering to help others, Liberals, or Conservatives? The answer to both of these questions is the latter. Nearly every major study on the subject suggests Conservatives give much more time and money to the less fortunate than their Liberal counterparts who oddly enough make more money and have more time to spend volunteering. If only Keith would release his financial information, I'd love to see how much he's given to charity in the past. Hopefully, its a lot. However, other than his free health clinics and check for Sarah Palin lies, he isn't really known for his charitable contributions. Just take a look at some notable Liberals. I'm fairly certain that Joe Biden's contributions to charity in certain years can only be described as piss poor, while the Evil, Greedy, Dick Cheney donated his entire salary to the poor as Vice President, and nearly three quarters of their yearly earnings, most of what he gained from his stock in Halliburton which everyone stated was the reason we went to war in the first place. Do you ever think that Gore, or Olbermann would be willing to donate 75% of their annual earnings to charity? The answer of course, is no, a big fucking hell no...
So, summarize, as was stated earlier, allow the free market to do what it's meant to do, and not only with the economy begin to correct itself, the rich, who give billions in charity, will give billions more, and people who have the will to survive, will survive. Stop believing that some stupid comment from some dumb asshole like Olbermann is the answer. He can talk a big game, but he clearly doesn't know shit about life, about ordinary people and especially about government.
When you grow up, and actually get a big boy job Wuss, you'll understand, but until then, let the big boys talk, you should be happy with just listening...
"You should have - it was worth watching."
It's really sad that people like MKDAWUSS can't tell the difference between true solutions and clowns looking for cheap points to get people angry about.
Tax the rich! Tax the rich! Tax the rich! I'm sure Olbermann and Carlos have done the math and if we tax all the rich people it will cover the debt in its entirety. But cutting spending isn't the answer, right?
As for the charity thing, it's no secret (well, it's not to those who choose to educate themselves) that conservatives give more to charity, but really, who cares? Give to charity, don't give to charity, does it really make someone a bad person?
Let's look at Olbermann. He gives to charity. Is that supposed to cover for his lies, misogyny, hypocrisy and so on?
"Right? Don't worry - it's how I was introduced to Countdown as well."
That cheap shot aimed at syvyn explains a lot.
I got into Bill O'Reilly three years ago because he went after the mayor of Providence for not properly detaining illegals, leading to one of them raping a woman, and he didn't have the balls to face up to it.
Carlos got into Keith Olbermann by watching five minute segments full of Fox News personalities and Republican presidents but devoid of lying Democrats and vile dictators.
"When you grow up, and actually get a big boy job Wuss, you'll understand, but until then, let the big boys talk, you should be happy with just listening..."
lol good one pal.
Maybe that's what this is all about. Carlos has been dealt a lousy hand and with that hand he became a failure, which means he'll never be rich and is gonna have to live off handouts the rest of his life. That's what happens when you spend your days watching soccer, fantasizing about Olbermann and crying about evil rich people instead of getting off your ass and doing something about it.
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Lejjena! How's Carlos doing?"
"Just fine! He sits around the house in his underwear watching obscure football teams and playing video games. Sometimes he takes a break from that stuff to complain about how the rich are the worst people ever. We're so proud to have raised such a f****** loser!"
"If only Keith would release his financial information, I'd love to see how much he's given to charity in the past."
There's a good one ryder.
Hey MKDAWUSS, how much of that completely ridiculous salary does Olbermann give to charity and taxes?
Let me guess, "his fair share," whatever that means. Carlos and Olbermann, hypocrites in a pod.
"Tax the rich! Tax the rich! Tax the rich! I'm sure Olbermann and Carlos have done the math and if we tax all the rich people it will cover the debt in its entirety. But cutting spending isn't the answer, right?"
To bring the debt down, raising taxes and cutting spending is the answer. There might even need to be some assets sold. It's the rich that are going to have to pay down the ND.
"Answer me this; Liberals who consistently believe in Evolution (as do many conservatives, including myself) always find a way to support ulterior methods of government. Nature is successful for a reason, by selecting the weak for extinction. Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not advocating we allow the poor and sick to simply die, but why is so hard to accept these situation as facts, unchangeable facts? People get sick, and they die. It's not realistic, its not affordable and it's controllable. This leads me to my next point..."
But at the same time you have no problem with government bending over backwards to ensure that the rich are taken care of, getting something for nothing, especially when times are tough. You all were just fine with the corporate bailouts that Bush, Frank, McCain, and Obama handed out.
"So, summarize, as was stated earlier, allow the free market to do what it's meant to do, and not only with the economy begin to correct itself, the rich, who give billions in charity, will give billions more, and people who have the will to survive, will survive."
The same free market that decided to stash the cash and ruin the economy?
"To bring the debt down, raising taxes and cutting spending is the answer. There might even need to be some assets sold. It's the rich that are going to have to pay down the ND."
Again I ask, show me the math. There's no way the richest of the rich can dispose of a multi-trillion dollar debt, not without destroying their own finances. Is that what you want? People to not be successful anymore? Just because you're a failure who will never be in that top bracket doesn't mean those who are should be punished.
And I'm just curious, because you find Olbermann so intelligent, what does he think we should cut spending? With sources, if you please.
"But at the same time you have no problem with government bending over backwards to ensure that the rich are taken care of, getting something for nothing, especially when times are tough. You all were just fine with the corporate bailouts that Bush, Frank, McCain, and Obama handed out."
I don't recall these people you refer to as "you all" saying any such thing, though I'm not surprised you're sitting at your computer making stuff up. I'm sure we're all in agreement that the stupid breaks rich people get (like free golf carts) can be disposed of.
What you don't want to talk about is the fact that there are just as many rich liberals as rich conservatives. I'm sure if your hero Olbermann was taxed to the point you want him to be he'd either blame the Republicans, find as many loopholes as possible, or just not pay them.
Since you claim that Countdown viewers are the most informed, you probably heard from Olbermann that John Kerry hid his luxury boat in my state to avoid paying taxes on it, which I believe he only paid once people found out about it. I'm sure I must have missed your outrage over that as well as Olbermann's, who no doubt named Kerry WPITW for such a loathsome move to avoid paying his "fair share" of taxes.
Olbermann wants to blame rich conservatives for this mess. How much does Obama pay in taxes? Pelosi? The Kennedy's? Edwards? That gold digger Kerry? What about Olbermann himself and his bosses Gore and Hyatt? I guess that's not talked about on Countdown.
You and the morons you surround yourself with think it's just a simple case of taxing the (conservative) rich and that will solve most of our debt problems.
"The same free market that decided to stash the cash and ruin the economy?"
You want some cheese with that whine? Again, just because you're a broke failure who doesn't want to do anything about it doesn't mean others should be punished.
Taxing the s*** out of the rich would be disastrous, especially rich business owners. You think the Trumps and McMahons of the world are gonna stand going from billionaires to millionaires?
Olbermann probably didn't think that far ahead, which means you didn't think that far ahead. What a shock.
No, you are 100% wrong. You're assuming that the conservative stance is what you hear from people like Keith Olbermann. I'd challenge you to find a hand full of Republicans you personally know who believe such utter nonsense. You certainly won't find anyone here who thinks the the government should take care of the rich. Tax breaks (including the Bush tax cuts) included nearly everyone, not only the wealthy. If you listened to anyone other than Olbermann and people like him, you may actually have enough knowledge to enter into a conversation about the subject. Until then, go back to the Kos. You realize that if a "MKDAWUSS" showed up at the Kos, and was preaching a conservative point of view, it would last about ten seconds before he was banned? Here, you are allowed to speak openly and freely, because we're aren't afraid to, nor do we lack the intelligence to debate. Sound familiar?
"No, you are 100% wrong."
Well duh.
"You certainly won't find anyone here who thinks the the government should take care of the rich."
Unless they're rich, which I doubt "you all" are.
Anyway, certainly those who receive more income should be taxed more than those with less and they most definitely should not receive the perks that John Stossel has mentioned in the past.
"If you listened to anyone other than Olbermann and people like him, you may actually have enough knowledge to enter into a conversation about the subject."
Well that's what you get for watching Coundown and reading the Kos and MMFA. Kos recently posted a "Fox Haters" story that only Reuters had the balls to retract.
Printing false stories is one thing. Printing false stories and not retracting them is something else. One thing that's for sure is it's not the mark of an "honest and reliable" source.
According to the Daily Kos, eliminating the Bush tax cuts on everyone making over $200,000 would raise 700 billion over ten years, or 70 billion a year.
MCDAWUSS, do you realize the 70 billion is less then 5% of the 1.6 trillion dollar deficit from this year? You could tax 100% of what people making over $200,000 earn and it would still not come to 1.6 trillion dollars. Taxing more can not work and Olbermann knows this but relies on the ignorance of people like you to keep the class warfare scheme going.
