LOS ANGELES (AP) — Keith Olbermann is explaining his split with Current TV in decorating terms.

In an interview Tuesday with David Letterman in New York, Olbermann compared himself to an expensive chandelier that ended up without a home. Olbermann said he blames himself for joining Current TV, which he suggested was incapable of supporting his show.

As Olbermann put it in a transcript released by CBS: "If you buy a $10 million chandelier, you should have a house to put it in."

He reportedly had a five-year, $50-million contract with Current. On Friday, the channel announced it was immediately replacing Olbermann's "Countdown" with a new program hosted by former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

The interview with Olbermann is to air Tuesday on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

So basically what Olbermann's saying is he was too good for Current TV.

I still don't see how somebody that is willing to prove how much of a deceitful, hateful, angry douchebag they are will actually pay off in the end. Remember, The False Murrow did sign a contract and did not honor it, from what I understand. If someone is hired to do a tv show and refuses to do so based upon a protest against his boss, then that employee is defying the basics of his negotiated contract. Now, if he has clauses in his contract that state that he can refuse to do his show due to creative differences, then he may have a case there. If not, then he is shit out of luck.

He willingly violated his contract in contempt of his employers so therefore he is not entitled to the $$$ left on the contract, pure and simple.

But with that said, The False Murrow will have to convince that jury that since he violated the contract he signed (most likely he will argue that Al Gore is a predatory employer (when I mean that I am putting that in the context of what libs call "predatory lenders) who made him a victim and denied him his human birthright to have $70 million dollars.

Doesn't matter. Hell, even Jack Torrance signed a contract to watch over the Overlook Hotel until May the 1st and expressed what the consequences were if he broke that contract when Wendy wanted to take Danny to a doctor.

Last time I checked, this guy, according to his "loyal and dedicated fanbase," is not only Edward R. Murrow reborn, but is smarter than Albert Einstein, more patriotic than Hacksaw Jim Duggan and bigger balls than Evel Knievel.

We're not talking about creating a new world here, we're talking about news commentary. Even if Current does have its problems a man with this much talent (allegedly) can rise above it.

Not to mention the fact that all the evidence points to him doing absolutely nothing to work around these issues.

here is another reason why I think The False Murrow's lawsuit doesn't hold any water.

The False Murrow needs to put his money where his mouth is and show his contract so everyone can read what's actually in it. If he can show his diploma from Cornell Agriculture University to the world, then lets see this contract.

I hope he loses, just to see his reaction.
